Decent drinks and super happy to have a queer, women-forward bar. That being said, music here is terrible (seriously memeable) and bartenders consistently will serve white people in front of you. The people here are generally nice but very white-focused. If you come in from out of town from a diverse area, this place may be a culture shock.

We're visiting SF from the midwest, and this was the first time my wife and I had ever been to a lesbian bar. I cannot possibly stress enough what a fun, magical experience it was coming to Jolene's! The drinks were great, the staff were delightful, the dancers gave us heart palpitations, and the atmosphere was so energetic that we were just in awe at it all. It was amazing to have a place where we could have fun and be openly in love around other folks like us without any fear; that alone was almost more intoxicating than the drinks! It's also worth mentioning for anyone concerned that this place is super trans-friendly, so worry not on that front! I cannot recommend Jolene's enough, and we'll definitely be back before the end of our trip!

This was my first time being able to celebrate Pride (and in San Francisco no less!). Jolene’s was full of wonderful LGBT folks from all over the Bay Area the night after the parade- but we know the real Pride starts when we can all share the same intimate space. The music and atmosphere was static. Jolene’s is a place where you can revel in the joy, the resilience, the protest, and the camaraderie that the San Francisco lgbt+ community has to offer.

I wish we (still) had lesbian bars like this, in Portland! 💋👩‍❤️‍👩🍸 Good drink specials, delicious made to order food, a little on the spendy side for bar grub, but that might just be my lack of comfort with San Francisco pricing 🤣. I loved the wall of pictures in the back room dance floor (wink) and the wallpaper is really delightful... you'll just have to visit to know what I'm talking about! Relaxed, fun atmosphere.. even on an early Friday night it was still busy enough to feel anonymous if that's your thing, but enough room to move and dance. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

I would give more stars if the brunch didn't require downloading and using an AWFUL app, which made service terrible. All of us at my table got our food staggered 40 mins apart and my food came lukewarm 10 mins BEFORE my can of beer. The staff & kitchen were working hard and it's clear it was an issue of too much/bad tech getting in the way. I won't order food here again if it's via the app, but happy to go back for drinks & shows. Great staff, food was decent, interesting drink options, and INCREDIBLE performers.

Such a fun Sunday Brunch! They had eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles (yes, that’s a waffle), fruit, potatoes and croissants. Type of sausage meat wasn’t listed. Complimentary mimosa comes with brunch, and overall it seemed worth it for $40! The performances were awesome as well but a little disorganized; I think they could refine the event down to be 2 hrs long. Also seating is very close and not conducive for allowing people to sit comfortably.

This is a great bar! I love that there’s a lesbian bar near me so my friends who are queer women don’t always have to go to bars catering to gay men

Went to the drag brunch here and the dancing and show was awesome!! Beautiful community they have here. Servers were good BUT the app that they use for ordering is awful! It was “processing” for at least 20-30 minutes for 3 people at our table and the only way were finally able to put in an order was by creating a new different account. We probably would have spent more money if it was easier to order. 😂 I also would love to see more gluten free options on the brunch menu since I have Celiac. I ended up ordering the breakfast special without tater tots because they are cooked in a shared fryer.

I’ve been coming here a handful of times now with my partner and queer friends and as a sober person who can’t drink alcohol the 12-14$ massive truffle fries totally changed the game in terms of what I can consume at Jolene’s. The fries were crispy, potatoey, dusted in truffle and coated in a nice amount of ketchup from the pickup menu. 5 stars cuz unexpectedly good bar fries food 😘 Also pool, if you can wait it out on the long list haha

My girlfriend and I visited this summer and were so glad we found this place. We were lucky enough to have landed our trip on Coyote Ugly Saturday, and WOW did we have a blast. The place was packed, music was good, and the staff was super intentional/kind, especially the person checking IDs at the door. Would absolutely come back to this gem in the future. Much love from the East Coast ❤️

Went to brunch yesterday for my mom’s 76th birthday. It was an absolute blast. We had so much fun and she was treated like a queen. Thank you to the whole amazing crew at Jolene’s. We will be back!!

I had the worst experience here. I also have noticed they don’t book any actual wlw performers. Mainly just men or non wlw. If you’re a queer girl bar support queer girl artists?

The Sunday drag brunch experience was incredible. The performers were amazing and really worked the crowd so well. The drinks were pretty great and there weren't any issues with placing the drinks with the app.
