It was our first time eating here, and now we understand the hype! The service was quick, and the employees were friendly. We ordered the double double animal style and animal fries on the side. We were definitely not disappointed!

It’s hard to get this wrong! Who doesn’t like a good burger at a good price! I always order mine protein style after a good time at the gym. With that said this location is ideal for out-of-towers to give this place a try to see if they agree with the hype.

I’m an In-N-Out fan since visiting the main Vegas location last year, so this was almost my first stop when I got to SF last week.. I was not disappointed. I want to say that instead of focusing on reviewing the food, it’s the employees at In-N-Out that makes it just as special -super helpful and friendly. Onto the food, I had fries animal style and a burger -simple, but fantastic. Part of me is glad that we don’t have this chain in Canada, because I’d gain so much weight! And yes, I HAD to buy a t-shirt.

What can I say 🤷 I'm Hooked on there Burgers 🍔 😋 So Yummy In Our Tummy for all to enjoy. Me and a Friend goes to the Daily City Location while we're out that way to Shop! They have good Service there and it's nice to get out of the City for a change of Scenery. We have a In-N-Out Burger 🍔 I do eat there to Occasionally with a friend!

It’s been 18 years since I had an In-N-Out burger and I had to have it again while on vacation in San Francisco. It’s still as good as I remember! Everything was done perfectly from the bun to the beef patty to the fresh lettuce and tomatoes. It’s essentially one item with three variations on the menu. I guess their focus is key to achieving the best burger in the world in my view. I wish they’ll set up shop in my home country.

The whole reason I booked a vacation yo Dan Francisco! Being a foodie I had to come here !! And then had to come back a second time before leaving. The food is delicious and there was outside seating. It was very very busy when we went but worth it ! I bought a T-shirt. 🥰

The famous In-N-Out with their secret, not so secret menu. The secret is that you don't know what toppings are available for you to add onto your burger because they don't list them anywhere. Patties were a little bit salty, but good. Definitely need at least 2 or nothing else on your burger if you want to taste them because they're thin. I enjoyed the fries, but if you like them crispy ask for them to be double dipped.

🍔Burger- good wasn't woahh but its good 🍟Animal style fries - a bit over salty, fries I use the code got it well done . The staff are wonderful. The shop is clean and it gets cleaned frequently. Seat not that much but it frees up fast.

It was great! It was my first try and i liked it. It’s more affordable than other burger brands. It was fresh and delicious. They were so nice and friendly and service was great. They had a long line at lunch time on Sunday. But they move really fast so it doesn’t take that long but it’s hard to find a seat. They have some seats outside but it’s pretty packed too. Good luck for your seats!

Clean and simple. No messy menus, straightforward. Thus you can expect the high standards of quality and control. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful for a fast food joint. Brings back memories of the golden years of fast food.

Super busy, but worth the wait. In and out is a must try if you're in Cali. The burgers are fresh and tasty and the fries, well what can I say they are scrumptious! Head on over if you have a burger craving to satisfy or even if you're just curious.

If you are debating if you should go here, the answer is absolutely yes. The burger is amazingly delicious. Everything is perfect about the burger. I do wish if the fries were a tad more fresh but it was still one of the best fast foods I’ve ever tried.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat open late, well this is your only option really! Despite coming here late at night, STILL it was packed (probably for the aforementioned reason). This is also my second time eating at an In-N-Out, giving them ONE last chance to redeem from my first experience in disappointment (different location). Great prices, great atmosphere, great staff - let's get that straight. But, I just CAN'T figure out why people are so obsessed with this place. I went so far this time to browse Reddit for tips on "the perfect order" and landed on: (1) Animal Style Double patty/cheese, WHOLE grilled onions, and CHILIES - still just an ok burger, I've had better from SO many places (including fast food). (2) Neapolitan Shake - ok this was good for sure (I'll agree they have great shakes). (3) Fries extra crispy Animal Style (extra crispy helps but still nothing special). Their secret sauce IS good but also easy to make and really feels like the burger/fries lean heavy into that making it good, but it isn't nearly enough to cut it.

I tried this fast food restaurant because it was recommended in an online travel guide. I thought it was characteristic of the place instead it is found in many states here in the US. I'm not used to eat that kind of food. The service is fast and you should eat quickly to leave tables free for new customers. But many customers stay long to rest and it is not easy to find a table. Good sandwich not very good the fries are a bit flabby. Overall it was a positive experience.

Very clean and beautiful, very impressed that the team wore white uniforms. It was my first time at this In n Out burger. But I wished the burger and fries were delicious as their milkshakes. It is probably the number 1 place in the city I just didn't enjoy the burger. But still you could give it a try.

Great service here! A cheeseburger meal was $11.00 plus tax, so maybe a little pricey. No indoor dining as of 2/9/2022. A few homeless panhandling in front, but not aggressively at all. Overall nice experience.

Delicious fresh burgers, fast service, very reasonable prices. Very tasty cocoa. In cool weather, cocoa is a great drink ☕️ P.S. The employee Ryan is very attentive and friendly.

The only In-N-Out Burger in SF city area. Its ridiculously busy owing to the fact that its probably the only cheap eating place in the wharf area. Despite going early at 5.30pm it was still very busy. Ordered a #2 combo which was Cheeseburger, Fries and drink. Was $9.95USD before tax. Waited 13 mins from time of order to receipt of food. Was then snapped at by server who when I showed my order number grumped "I dont want to see your receipt!" Fries were not hot. Cheeseburger had a burnt rim around the bun, The beef patty is very thin and 'with onions' means you get a huge thick round slice of raw onion which was very overpowering. Overrated burgers. Restaurant is dirty and overcrowded. Good luck trying to find a seat. Compounded by the homeless coming in with their dogs into the eating area and using the drink refill fountains with cups from elsewhere.

First time here and it was definitely worth it. Burger was great and lived up to the hype but the fries were not on par. Service was quick even with the rush!

Burger and fries are delicious. The price has been increased compared with Las Vegas in 2019. We can get 2 burgers and 2 hot drinks previously. But the same price we can only get 1 burger 1 fries and 1 cold drink.

The restaurant was fast paced, even with the high volume, they were able to get orders filled pretty quickly. We were visiting from out of town and this was on my daughter's fulfillment list. In my opinion, there were not a lot of options, but that also kept it pretty simple. The burger was dry, but the fries were delicious and my daughter enjoyed her milkshake.

Went with a group of friends it was super packed to the point where there were no tables. Dinner was great as always. We ended up sitting outside. As a side note there aren't any bathrooms inside this In-N-Out, but if you ask there is a public bathroom nearby that is locked but In-N-Out has the code for it. Thought I'd share because we couldn't seem to find a bathroom in most places we went around the city

The burgers are good but the fries are consistently bad. Even when sauced. Also just too packed in the waiting area from slow service as I had to wait 20 minutes just to get my food after ordering.

Classic burger joint experience. Great food friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend the animal fries

Finally got a chance to eat here, the burgers are really fresh and juicy, the lettuce actually tasted like a lettuce, they have great 🍟 also. So glad they will expend this chain in other states also in the next 5 years. Glad I got a chance to eat there and highly recommend everyone to give it a try.

This In-N- Out Burger location at Pier 39 was busy and fast. The food is prepared in view and is freshly made. Everything is consistent with eating a burger. Meaty, Juicy, Crunchy, Messy, and Tangy. The prices are a little more higher than the other locations because SF. chargers a soda tax. Important to know there is no indoor dining at this location because of COVID. I recommend a visit.

Overrated from my personal view. Their price is pretty much a deal and burger was pretty good. But the fries and shake wasn’t as what I expect. But they said this store is a must to visit when you’re in SF. Would agree with this as this is the only one right here! Pretty love the store location where you can see the crowd from the pier.

It's OK. I honestly do not get the hype. It's better than McDonald's but is that really the standard?? I found the bun to be quite good and the sauce to be tasty but the patties are over cooked and too salty. The milkshake was too thick and too sweet. Overall I would say it mostly relies on its reputation, nothing special to give some more context I would say it's better than McDonald's and burger king but worse than five guys and Carl's Jr.

  • 5/5 Brian T. 1 year ago on Google
The burgers are very good. The shakes are thick and delicious. There is no parking on site, street parking only. The place is constantly busy but the line moves quickly and the wait for your order is only a matter of minutes. Finding a table can be tough but the wait isn't long if you watch and are persistent

This was my first time eating here and it was surprisingly good! The food was made fresh, crew were smiling and friendly, they had banana peppers! What a dream! It tasted between McDonald's and Wendy's. Place was packed, with a line out the door around lunch time, but worth the wait. Good food.
