I didn’t believe that I can see such a masterpiece in Varamin near Tehran. I really recommend that.

700 years old Not officially opened yet (2017) Under restoration

it is one of the most wonderful but unfsmous mosque located very near to Tehran. by only 30 minutes driving you can travel to 700 years ago when Mongolians attacked Iran but made such landmarks too. it is open during covid pandemic we were therecat 11 am.

Amazing Mosque going back 700 years ago. It needs repair but hasn't lost its glory in the present form. Don't forget to climb stairs to go to the rooftop and get a look at the main hall through one of the unblocked windows.

Congregation mosque of Varamin, Friday mosque of Varamin or Grand mosque of Varamin is the grand congregational mosque (jāmeh) of Varamin in the Tehran Province of Iran. This mosque is one of the oldest buildings of Varamin city. Its construction began during the reign of Sultan Mohammad Khodabaneh and was completed during his son’s, Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan, rule in 1322. This building consists of a shabestan, portico, large brick dome, the structure beside shabestan and ten small arches along with one large arch in the middle.
