We stayed for a weekend at De Durgerdam and loved every second of it! Friendly people and good service. The room was incredibly beautiful with an amazing lake-side view. The interior design has a nostalgic and luxurious vibe that makes you feel totally at peace. We had dinner at the restaurant on the ground flour which was absolutely delicous and itโ€™s nice that you see the chefs at work in the open kitchen. You can rent bikes for a day and go to Amsterdam. The ride only takes about 30 minutes and is a wonderful activity in itself: passing by typical Dutch landscapes and houses. It also allows you to avoid the parking chaos in Amsterdam en gives you the freedom to explore the city as you like. To summarize: De Durgerdam provides you the perfect experience to explore the calm environment as well as the city itself, while enjoying a high end accomodation that takes care of all your needs.

We had the best experience at this incredible boutique hotel only a short drive away from Amsterdam. The staff is fantastic, super helpful and they honestly thought of every little detail in the hotel and room. We stayed in the Moon suite and we actually didn't want to leave it. Simply stunning with amazing view over the water. The food in the restaurant will reach Michelin star status soon, I'm sure. Absolutely delicious. The wine pairing advised to us by the staff was superb. In the morning we had breakfast by the water, with a great concept that you get a small breakfast included and you can add different (delicious) dishes from the a la carte menu. the fact that they strive to use local products is a big plus as well. Grabbing the electric bikes and touring around the area is a great experience too. We will be back soon.

This is a gem secret hideaway, 30โ€™ bike ride from Amsterdam Centraal and yet you feel in deep nature by the sea. Everything is authentic, elegant and tasteful. A total delight.

We had a great time at De Durgerdam, just outside of Amsterdam. We'd been to Amsterdam a few times and wanted something different from the City Centre hotels. De Durgerdam delivered a really good alternative out in a nice area. The rooms were really nice and different to usually rooms, really loved the bathroom. The breakfast was nice, but if you book anywhere which says you get breakfast included, just make sure you know it's only a single croissant and cup of tea or coffee. If you're looking for something a bit more in the countryside, it's a nice place to go and explore the surrounding area. Taxis are around โ‚ฌ20-โ‚ฌ30 depending on time of day to Amsterdam. It was nice to swim off the pier and can imagine this being really nice in the summer! As the hotel is new, there are some teething issues and staff knowledge gaps. One issue was that the plumbing was incredibly loud in the room from upstairs - not something to raise at the time as they can't sort it there and then, but something to look into. We will definitely return if we can when back though.

I went to have breakfast at Durgerdam and it was an amazing experience! The food was great, I enjoyed the croissants and eggs Florentine. Next to the food, one thing that really stood out was the top service. The Ukrainian waitress who attended our table was very attentive, patient and gave us a lot of nice menu recommendations. I definitely recommend visiting!

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend and booked one of the rooms in the back part of this hidden gem. Youโ€™re literally in the nature with water view, in the most beautiful, quiet village, yet so close to Amsterdam. Perfect for a weekend get away or just to enjoy the kitchen, some drinks and a bike ride on one of their stylish Veloretti e-bikes (perhaps not in that order) Canโ€™t wait to explore the terrace in summer or the next surprise ๐Ÿ˜‡ Breakfast, lunch and dinner on highest level, the service super attentive and kind. Cherry on the cake has been the tastefully furnished rooms. The only downside is, that I canโ€™t rate 10 stars on google. Canโ€™t wait to come back soon. Incredibly tasteful furnished and decorated rooms in highest quality level.

We had three magical days and nights here. It's a wonderful peaceful place to wind down, cycle and swim. Every aspect of De Durgerdam is carefully and tastefully thought out from the wondeful colour of the walls and fabrics to the sauces and foams with the dishes in the restaurant.

De Durgerdam is a very nice developed hotel in a beautiful atmosphere outside Amsterdam. Indoor Designers had good eyes for details and atmosphere creation between inside and the outdoor surroundings. It was a new experience.

"We only serve hotel guests at this time".. not even a drink.... from a waitress who doesnt even speak dutch... you will never see me again and your reputation in a'dam is done. Zero sense of hospitality, you are a shame for your profession. Newly opened, bankrupted soon.

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing stay. Nothing was missing. Rooms are decorated with so much taste, people are the kindest, and the restaurant is worth a Michelin star. A pure gem, located in a wonderful environment, at just 15โ€™ from the city centre. Canโ€™t wait to be back

Great for a two night stay over NYE (including a 5 course dinner at the restaurant De Mark and festive breakfast on 1 Jan). Location is wonderful at the dike/lake, with the fields in the back. Hotel is beautifully designed and thought out in the smallest details. We booked the Classic de Burg, which is a little small but ok since we spend most time in the honesty bar/drawing room, the restaurant and the outsides. Service overall is very good, with some minor hiccups (sometimes the wait time and 1 time double charged for a wine bottle, and one of waitresses does not seem too welcoming but maybe that's Dutch directness...). Nevertheless, especially the two waiters (and, I believe, the manager) who stayed until midnight for the count down with champagne were great and very hospitable! 5 course NYE menu at De Mark was great, too, flavorful, good presentation and well explained by the chefs.

I recently had the pleasure of staying with my Family at a boutique hotel โ€œDe Durgerdamโ€ that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the beautiful rooms to the stunning guest areas. The rooms themselves were a true delight. They were elegantly decorated, with tasteful furnishings and a cozy ambiance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. One of the highlights of my stay was enjoying a nice dinner on the hotel's lake deck. The view was absolutely breathtaking, with the serene lake stretching out before me. I would highly recommend the Durgerdam to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

๐Ÿ˜ It is a large, somewhat impersonal, completely unshaded and extremely noisy campsite (we were in the tented section).Noisy because there is a large multi-lane bridge nearby, which is still very busy at night.
