I’ve highly recommended Heartland in the past because the cardiologists are spectacular, but my recent surprise bill has changed my mind. When I called the billing department to ask about the charges, the woman I talked to immediately took a harsh tone. She kept restating that it is my “legal responsibility” to meet my deductible, instead of answering why I hadn’t been informed, in advance, of the high cost of a 15 minute ultrasound (which I’d received as a last minute add on to a routine office visit). I tried my best to stay calm but she was rather rude and she ended up giving me one more reason not to return to Heartland. Fortunately, I have the funds to cover these superfluous charges, but it’s no wonder people ignore their chest pains and end up in the ER. At least the hospitals now have the “legal responsibility” to say how much things are going to cost beforehand.

Dr. Hussam Farhoud is an excellent Cardiologist. Students often train with Dr. Farhoud! The Heartland Cardiology facilities are excellent. The staff are professional and polite. I appreciate the great care I receive from Dr. Farhoud and the Heartland Cardiology staff.

Best please to be when you have any kind of heart disease or uncomfortability, clinic is spotless clean, staff members are very professionals, knowledgeable, accurate, and more, they have interpreters on hand. All the Dr's are very, very good on they do, very precise, knowledgeable, they give you all the time you need to. Overall this clinic is a 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend it to everyone who needs to come here.

Very efficient and friendly office! Nursing staff showed excellent bedside manner and concern. My doctor ready had me at ease with a game plan! Great site!

If I could leave zero stars, or a sympathy half star I would. In my opinion, the staff at the front desk area are kind and curtious when you are there checking in. They are extremely difficult to get a person on the phone when you call in, yet when you go into the office, there are litterly a dozen or more people behind the counter, so I'm not sure where the disconnect is on answering their calls. Next is the Doctors here...lol 🤣, I have to laugh or I'll cry. Everyone makes a big deal about Dr Shaheen , how great he is etc, including the nurse who put me into the room to wait for the Doctor, again, I have to laugh, I beg to differ that he's going to help me, he's gonna answer all my questions, he's gonna get it all figured out, what a joke, and I mean JOKE!!!! First of all, I'm not even sure how much he understands, he's hard to understand, so I'm not sure that he can understand me either, he just smiles and dismisses you. I feel like my questions don't ever get answered ever!!!!!! Obviously, I have a heart condition, or I wouldn't be going to see a cardiologist, but there is literally zero sense of urgency at all with this particular Doctor. He rushes you out and treats you like cattle, just to bring in the next cash cow. As soon as I can find another cardiologist, I'll be firing this guy and going elsewhere. I'm not saying dont go here, you can do what you want, go ahead make an appointment with him and see for yourself.

I gave heartland cardiology a generous review of 3 stars, mostly because I do like the actual doctors on staff. When it comes to calling to book,cancel or move appointments the phone system is ridiculous. I was on hold for 30 minutes before I spoke with someone, and my place in line kept moving even though I was on the same call. This happens often, but this particular time one I did speak with someone, they were laughing on the phone line and didn’t actually listen to why I called. I’m considering moving offices because the check in staff is less than professional.

Dr. Farhat is incredible! Skilled, experienced, gr8 outcomes, & is very patient. Huge trust in him. Competent staff & team!

This clinic called me to schedule a follow up appointment after looking into the insurance situation, put me on hold, then hung up on me after a few minutes. We're never going here again.

I am scheduled for hip replacement surgery in five days (two business days). I found out yesterday that I wasn't cleared by my Dr's office until I see a cardiologist (they've had 30 days to set this appointment). I called Heartland Cardiology today (Friday) at 3:15 and explained my dilemma to "Alex". She was very friendly and patiently listened to my situation. Alex reassured me that she would do everything she could possibly do, so my surgery didn't get canceled. When I called back on a FRIDAY at 4:52, Alex had a solution so I could get an EKG Monday morning! Being a new patient, appointments this quickly are unheard of!! Alex is a rare gem showing the utmost compassion for a patient!!! Thank you, Alex, and God bless you for caring!

Doctors are wonderful. Extremely understaffed at the Epic sign in counter. They want you here early and then you wait 20 minutes to check in. And then forget about any privacy. Everyone in the room can hear everything about your medical
