The hotel was very comfortable and clean, the attention to detail in maintaining such a pleasant fragrance did not go unnoticed, and it added a unique touch to the overall ambiance. I found the food to be satisfactory, they offered a decent variety, it was my first time tying Tolak Angin gelato, did not really like it but it was not so bad either. I forgot to take pics of the room, but the bed was perhaps the comfiest I've encountered in all my hotel travels.

(+) Speechless. The room is so spacious, bright and luxurious. The facilities are super complete. Staffs are super friendly and the food is tasty. All things in my room work properly. This is my first experience to stay here and I'm awed โœจ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป (-) The TV channel isn't too various. I think they need to give more movie channels. Some of the furniture are the old ones (in my room for example: refrigerator, hair dryer, telephone). Despite of that, it still works properly Will come back again for sure โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Best hotel in Jogja, when in doubt Tentrem is the place to go, from the fancy interiors inherited by Indonesian culture they serve a wide variety of meals in the breakfast menu, and the decor is just outstanding

One of the best hotels at Yogyakarta. Many people stay at this hotel for a vacation. Modern building design, friendly service and good hotel room facilities. Good breakfast menu. The pool facilities are spacious and interesting architecture design. Enough car parking facilities. The hotel is located in the north of Yogyakarta city. Good impression when staying here.

I know the meaning of 5 star hotel because of hotel Tentrem. They got the basics right. They had solutions to our requests. The staff worked as one to fill our needs. Felt more than service, felt actual desire to take care of us. All departments were great but the breakfast staff was next level. Dare I say they made you feel like family. Tentrem the hotel to stay at in Yogyakarta. My city, Orlando, Florida can learn from you.

During my stay at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta, I had a delightful experience with my family. The hotel's strategic location made it a comfortable choice, and the amenities, including a pleasant swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and various facilities for children, added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

One of 5 stars hotel in Yogyakarta that has a luxury vibe and design with a great hospitality that not so far from Malioboro area and usually full book when on public holiday or the months that usually government office held some event. Their room is clean and spacious eventhough we stay on their cheapest room, they have many menu for breakfast too and the taste is quite good. The minus from this hotel is that their price is quite expensive especially for public holiday. We will comeback for sure to stay in tentrem if we go to yogyakarta

Uninspiring hotel, under-expectation. It's just a nice hotel without any edge. Truly nothing special about it and its hospitality. Breakfast experience is so dull. By 9am, the 3rd session (divided sessions during the covid time), the breakfast is no longer complete, as advertised by front desk. You may compare to the newer one Tentrem Semarang which is a 5-stars experience. It's suggested to hunt for boutiqe hotels or unique resorts spread in the area which should be better.

So far this is the best hotel in Yogyakarta, the services are good, large rooms and most important the breakfast menu are absolutely amazing. Lots of local food and taste so good. Usually when staying in the hotel, i always recommend to pass the breakfast and try local food. But in Tentrem all those local food are here. Love the gudeg, jamu and Roti Kukus! For sure will comeback again for another experienced in Yogyakarta.

Loved everything here. Best hotel ive stayed so far in Jogja. The building itself has its extraordinary character with the paintings and artistics furnitures. Strategic location in the heart of Jogja, very nice spacious room, great service, super friendly and helpful staffs. The foods are excellent. This hotel has the best Croissant and Coffee. I do really appreciate every single things here. Maturnuwun. You โ€˜Tentremโ€™-ed my heart โค๏ธ

Paid for Executive Suite, 1 King bed. The bathroom design is just bad. The cabinet is protruding and blocking the entrance to the shower cubicle. It's just dangerous with sharp corner for young children. The wooden floor is heavily waxed and extremely slippery. Again, dangerous for seniors and young children. Above all, they limit each room to 5 bottles of water. Mind you it's not premium bottle water. Just plain regular mineral water. For a premium room or any room for that matter, water should not be chargeable. Eventually, they brought me 4 more bottles of mineral water in a laundry bag. So much for a 5 star rated hotel. Disappointed guest.

Exquisite hotel and service. Welcome drink jamu is good. Breakfast is excellent with so many options. They serve specialty coffee as well which is remarkable. Room's vibe is classic and a lil but dark because of wood finishes in the interior. Amenities is excellent for those who like spices and herbs.

Been wanting to visit this hotel many years ago due to excellent review from fellow colleagues. First impression, the hotel itself not too superb but the hospitality and service really exceed the expectation. The facilities are complete I stayed here for 5 nights and I donโ€™t get bored of the gym, sauna and hot pool. Their breakfast are all tasty, and their jamu is a must try. A small note for the housekeeping, maybe try to vacuum the curtain once in a while because it really gets dusty. Also the floor beneath the furniture sometimes missed the cleaning. For a full-booked season this week, I think they still provide the best service for all the guest.

Me, my wife and my marathon buddies stayed here during the Mandiri Jogja Marathon about 5 years back and it was a very pleasant stay. I loved their gym and sauna, I would say it is the best hotel in town. My 2nd stay in this hotel however was quite a disappointment. I booked for 2 rooms with King beds and 1 room with twin beds, but they said the hotel is almost fully booked (90%) and they couldn't spare me rooms with King beds. We were surprised cause we clearly booked the room types for the specific dates, how could the hotel overbook and let us know in the last minute? The lady in the reception who checked us said that the room types are based on "availability". โ€‹I found this to be absurd because they should have known the availability of number of rooms and the room types on the mentioned dates when they received the booking. They should've rejected the booking if they only had twin bed rooms at that time, not during the time i check in. I began to wonder whether they prioritized other booking requests and allocated my king bed rooms to their other guests. Is such treatment because i booked through a travel agent? My travel agent showed screenshots of the booking email to the hotel and it clearly showed the type of rooms. I felt deeply offended and humiliated. Some of my travelling partners were allocated smoking rooms when they clearly booked for non smoking rooms. Some managed to argue and got non smoking rooms and a couple other weren't so lucky and had to accept the smoking rooms after they have "treated" the room. Clearly the same mistake by the hotel. The 3rd room that we booked were only ready around 4 pm. On our last morning of our stay, the hotel slid a piece of noticed through our door telling us to make sure we check out by 12 pm, otherwise they would charge 30% of the daily room rate for late charge. It's a pity such a 5 star hotel would have such poor service quality. I would definitely stay at the Marriott for my next visit to Jogja unless they improve their management and customer services.

The quality of hotel infrastructure element is superb : 1. design 2. material 3. room size 4. facilities (pool, restaurant, playground etc) But the hotel lacks fundamental services that makes guest (me for this case), feel uncomfortable : 1. playground operation : a. standard operating procedure of playground anywhere is using socks when play (same with hotel's playground), me and my son forgot to bring those. Staff said that usually they provide socks, and sell it to parents who forgot to bring socks like me, but at that time the stocks is empty. So, i ask my assistant to find and bring socks to playground, so me and my son can play (i follow the procedure). After 30 mins waiting, i get the socks and play with my son at the playground. b. after 15 mins of playing, then there are 3 people came WITHOUT USING ANY SOCKS, and the staff politely said that's ok (this is happenning until playground closed at 5pm) c. Why the hotel staff treat people differently? (See point 1.a and 1.b). Guest is paying millions rupiah per day, and yet (so called 5 stars) hotel treats people differently. 2. room facility : a. on second day staying at hotel, i need iron to tidying up some clothes, but i can't find it, so i called room service and at the call twice they said the iron is available at our room (but we can't find it). Finally the staff came to our room with bringing the iron i asked, but still asked to go to inside our room and checked the iron (???) and they can't find it as well. b. from point 2.a we knew that the staff is not checking room's facility after guest before us checked out and turn out that there is one facility is missing. 3. pool facility : a. Hot shower on the pool corner is not working, only cold water is working. b. from 3.a we knew that staff is not checking some facility properly. "Tentrem" is a word in Javanese that have specific meaning, which is peaceful/comfort, but from my experience the hotel is not live it's name to the fullest, not even half. So unfortunate for so called 5 stars hotel.

Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta is a great place to stay, with excellent hospitality and a variety of amenities. Upon arrival, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast offered each morning is a highlight, with a wide range of choices that are all fresh and well-prepared. The hotel also has a swimming pool, fitness center, and a spa, which are all excellent ways to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The room at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta are clean and comfortable, with a nice rain shower that is a luxurious touch. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Yogyakarta.

The best hotel in the city of Yogyakarta. Their service is over the top and the room is spacious and nicely decorated. I had an incredible stay here. The breakfast is a real winner with almost all the varied offering is top notch five star restaurant quality. It's a feat since most other five star hotel rarely have breakfast that is up to that level

One of the best Hotel in Yogyakarta, maybe in Javanese Island too Got here at late August 2022, check in at this hotel late in the evening. In the lobby you can see many Javanese Cultures like "nyinden", aromatherapy, etc. Didn't know that Tentrem is the part of Sido Muncul's business. Their done quite remarkable job for sure. The Deluxe room is spacious, clean, and well maintenaned. The entertainment in the room is cutting edge, the TV have mirroring function, always love having that kind of entertainment in my room. There was a master ligthing button which I like. There is no bathtub in but the Shower is big enough. The ornament is well placed imho, love the ambience and the furniture in the room. I couldn't say that the breakfast is the best so far. But it was more than just adequate, much more.... The choices is vary, I mean VARY! The taste is good to excellent, depends on the food. The Gym, OMG, it's even more equipped than the gym business itself. The staff clean the equipment quite often, in my 2 hours in the gym, I can see that the staff clean all the equipment twice already. they really maintain the cleanliness in the gym. Appreciated it so much. Overall: Room : 8,9/10 Breakfast : 8,5 / 10 Other Facilities : 9 / 10 Service & Hospitality : 8,5 / 10 Value for money : 9,2 / 10 (for corporate rate) Definitely going back to this wonderful hotel

We were ecstatic to spend 6-7 nights here. The nuances felt the same as Tentrem Semarang. They served various breakfast menu and all of them were delicious. In a light of some visitors might need spaces to work (from anywhere) a.k.a nugas, you had better consider adding coworking space as hotel facilities. Oh, and the moment we couldnโ€™t forget is when the hotel management played the national anthem, followed by all staffs and guests stood up then sang altogether. It was Saturday morning when we had breakfast. Yes, I know it was not something new. However, it such an exhilarating experience for us. Cheers ๐Ÿฅ‚

Price/Quality wise, an absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms are large and beautiful, the service is great. The shrimp fried rice I've had ordered to my room was probably some of the best food I had in indonesia. However if there is one negative point, is that there is sometimes extremely loud call to prayers at 3 in the morning (and then every few minutes). To the degree that it makes you think someone is shouting next to your ear. Locartion-wise, it's difficult to really be at a 'good' location in Yogyakarta. But if you want to visit diverse temples or attractions, it will definitely take quite some time. And yet I would still always pick this hotel, simply because the quality was so high.

This was one of my favorite hotels and the staff was friendly and very accommodating, it was nice since they spoke English well and gave some good recommendations and the lemon grass smell was so good I would always comment on it upon entering the lobby. The breakfast was really good and they had a wide variety of of foods to fit travelers needs. My only regret was I was out exploring and wanted to spend more time in the hotel but Iโ€™ll be back!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

room is spacious, service is great, breakfast is the best. One thing that i can add more is the employee honesty. I have my things left in the hotel which some of them are intentionally and one of them is unintentionally being left. The room service reach me after several days c/o to confirm what to do with the stuff. Keep it up :)

I enjoyed very much stay at Tentrem Hotel. From the lobby, when we arrived, all of them were very helpful and I took the vallet service for my rent car (for me who stay 1 night the vallet service charged me idr50k-one time charge). When I arrived on 1pm, 2 of my rooms were not ready yet. I was offered to wait in the lounge while enjoying the welcome drinks (kunyit asam). The guy at front office said I nees to wait around 30 minutes for my 1st room and my second room around 4/5 PM because I request connecting room and this is the last connecting room they have and need to be fixed first as they donโ€™t sell this room. In fact, I just need to wait 15minutes and the second room, they brought the key to my first room at 2.30 PM. The service was very excellence. They already arranged the baby cod in the room. Foods were great. Plenty of foods and even they bring some well known local foods such as soto kadipiro, gudeg yu djum. The only input I have is about the elevators position that are quite far to my rooms at x41/x42. Other than that, I enjoyed very much stay at Tentrem Hotel. Worth it for you to stay at this hotel. Good job Tentrem Hotel!

The location is easy to locate, the service is good. the price you have to pay is equal to the good service that you get. the variety of the food choice at breakfast also nice. types of rooms, and the size also the comforts exceeds my expectation. the lighting inside the room is quite adjustable with more options that you can find in any other hotel. so, you can adjust it into working situation when you want to have meeting, but also addjustable to when you want to have a relax one.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Location is very strategic and very close to the heart of city and train station of Yogyakarta. Room was very spacious, beds were clean and soft. Check in process was quick, not long queue. Gym facilities were very complete with various type of strength equipments and treadmills. Swimming pool is also enormous and there's also kids pool area. They also have swim patrol personnel standby at certain times. Breakfast was very good; bread & pastries felt fresh, and there were lots of dishes available: Indonesian, Western, Mediterranean and so on. Hospitality is on point. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

5 stars hotelโ€ฆbut the rooms not ready by the time weโ€™re check in arround 16:15 ? Breakfast buffet was very goodโ€ฆ But I tried the Hainan Rice with mediocre taste, need more garlic & ginger. Nasi Tim Ayam (Steamed Chicken Rice) was good little bit way saltyโ€ฆthe chicken should be upside down on top of the rice. Lontong Kikil (Beef Feet Soup) very niceโ€ฆtasty & strong beef feet broth. The coffee was too light. Robusta mixed ? 2 thumbs up for Jamu (herbal drinks) counter, love it. Need more touch on decorationโ€ฆput some more colorful & traditional herbs/spices arround like lemongrass, ginger, cinnamon stick, lemons, tomatoes, papayas, bananas even flowers & so onโ€ฆso more good looking & not only watermelons & pineapple ? Room was big enough with 2 big twin beds. Why no kiblat directions in room no 633 also โ€˜make up bedโ€™ light doesnโ€™t works. Overall very nice. Keep it up Tentrem Team.

It was better staying here 2 years ago. But not this year. The service is bad, we stayed in the suit room, we are only allowed to have 4 mineral waters. The bathroom is bad, the drain werent working properly, everytime we showered, itโ€™s like weโ€™re showering in the puddles. We asked our room to be cleaned, they never changed the sheets, I know because I marked the sheet just to make sure, and as I expected they didnt change the sheet, never refill the fruits too. We had to ask for it. On our checked out day, the staff dropped our luggage and broke it. Thereโ€™s a dent on the luggage and a broken part. They didnt even apologized for that. So to sum it up, dont stay at this hotel. They are rated 5 stars, but the service and quality arent 5 stars.

I stayed in Tentrem for 2 nights on weekend. It's a surprise trip to celebrate my mom's birthday, actually. When I mentioned it to the staff, I did not expect any special treatment. Boy I was wrong... they surprised my mom with a cake...and candle :D. She was so confused and of course thrilled afterwards. Tentrem really an excellent 5-star hotel. From the room and whole building interior, cleanness, food and the services from the whole staff. All top notch! It was a great decision to stay there, and I have a feeling it won't be my last time.

Their kids playground is HUGE! Aside from mini Library, it also equipped with Slide, Trampoline, 4 air gun, 3 story playground. Parents, Bring your own and your kids socks! If you forget to, they sell a pair of socks for IDR20K. The staff said that they open from morning till 21.00. Parents also allowed to follow their kids to playground. It was sturdy, able to hold me(85kg).

Perfect hotel. Spacious rooms, good location even though not in the middle of the city, complete facilities, and hospitality, especially the staff in the restaurant. can be used as a recommendation if you go to yogyakarta

Heard a lot of hype of about this establishment, so we decided to stay for a night during our visit to Jogja First Impression - when we first arrived there was also another tour bus unloading their luggages, hence nobody approach / offer to help us with our luggage.. Check in - I asked for 30 mins late check out because I have an online meeting the next day but the receptionist told me it will incur 30% room charges... really? I've stayed in many other 5 star hotels, but none of them put extra charges for late check out. What's worse is I didnt feel that the receptionist actually care about my problem. It's like 'this is our SOP, u can take it or leave it'. Aside from the above : room service staff are very polite and location is very good. But I dont think I'd want to spend extra for this level of service and experience I have.

Hotel 5 stars with javanese - chinese luxurious style. The hotel staff was so helpful, nice, knowledgeable and fast response. I took premiere room king, it such a spacious room, had balcony and sofa on it. Amazing breakfast & kid's club, swimming pool just fine.

A very comfortable & cozy 5 stars hotel to stay in the center of the greatest city, Yogyakarta! It offers great experience during my stay, warmest service from all staff, and great taste for its food in Kayumanis Resto. No wonder there are a lot of guests who stay here.

Just arrived back in Australia after a short break in Yogyakarta to see the Borobudur and Prambanan temples and we stayed a few nights at Tentrum. As with a lot of Asian hotels, the photos provided online do not do this hotel justice. It is very scenic and very well looked after by the owner/ management. We really enjoyed our time here. The room was perfect, very spacious and fully kitted out. The service from any staff around the hotel was tip notch as was the breakfast offering. We also were very appreciative of Uni who outsourced our day trips to the temples to Smailing tours. Whilst they are expensive, it was totally worth it and would definitely recommend for the full experience of history and background of not just the temples but Jogja itself and local customs. Huge thank you to Hotel Tentrum for providing exactly what any hotel guest would want.

Spacious rooms, strategic location in the city centre. Pool, gym, and kids playground available on site. Breakfast buffet had pretty limited Western options (80% Indonesian cuisines according to the chef) so take that into account as you will.

Their service is good. But i dispointed with kids the playground.they make a rule must wear mask and socks.but they didn't follow their own rules.with an excuse their socks sold out!!then dont let them entered!!you make the rules!! the nanny the kids guardian even doesnt need to wear. I stay for 2 night.1st night in deluxe room.everything is perfect Second day i upgrade the room to premiere with a hope it will get better at least same quality.but when i open the door..the bad smell of bathroom all over the room.๐Ÿ˜ต Overall their service is good..average.afterall their 5star hotel.but i think i wont stay back again..

As we had experienced Tentrem Semarang before we stayed in Tentrem Jogja,I was compelled to compare between the 2 of them. They both shared the same huge and luxurious atmosphere, with the scent of herbs and spices typical to sidomuncul herbs,to bring the relaxing environment. The staff were amazingly kind and very helpfull. Since we stayed in executive suite room, both in Tentrem Jogja and Semarang,I kinda like the room interior of Tentrem Semarang,in Semarang they divide the living room and the bed room,to make it more private when we accept guests. Breakfast were also amazing, but in Semarang they bring all kind of Semarang traditional food into breakfast, and they taste excellent.I can say :"if you want to taste every delicious traditional food in Semarang, you can visit Tentrem."I hope I can say that too in Tentrem Jogja ๐Ÿ™‚
