Nice hotel but with some big cons. The pool is beautiful and they serve great coffee at the bar. The staff is really friendly. At the restaurant a lot of improvements can and should be made. The breakfast is a mess, they can’t serve/handle the number of guests. For lunch and dinner, the menu isn’t clear on what is being served. I found out after two nights of dining in that my ‘vegetarian’ tamarind based soup, contained prawn paste. As a vegetarian I still feel very bad about it. It is also dangerous in case of allergies. They should improve this

I stayed for 5 days for business trip and it was so comfortable to single guest! Unfortunately, They forgot to put towel when I came in D-1. In D-3 I noticed the cup not changed because my lipstick mark still there 😀 The breakfast is standard, almost same everyday. Nevertheless, I still recommend you!

Nicely designed hotel, although quality does not follow. Big sized room, plenty space for storage, we got great mountain view, open air common corridor, ok toilet sized and amenities. Breakfast was below standard, but I liked the jamus (traditional herb drinks).

Spacious room, comfortable bed (but maybe too small if you exceed the 1.85 meter) and a lot of amenities. Bathroom is formidable, and has an excellent shower! They serve a good dinner, although not much choice. The breakfast space can be too crowded, resulting in a lack of clean cutlery, seating space and not enough food available.

Warm welcome from staffs, love the room design, spacious room, interior is very details. Welcome drink voucher is very unique they really paid full to the details, love it! Lobby is very cozy, breakfast is good enough.they have good coffee as well in the coffee shop. The most important room is sound proof.

This is my first experience stayed in GAIA Cosmo. I like the interior design of room (i stayed at deluxe twin). The room is so clean, comfy, with good view of Yogyakarta city, but refrigerator is not available in this room. The room provides premium drip coffee, and i think not all hotels provide such selected coffee.

Had a really pleasant stay here. Room wise is very clean. Food served for breakfast has a variety of selection and they were good. The design of the lobby and the restaurant is very well built in such a way the air flows really well. Location wise of the hotel is good, close to the Gembira loka zoo. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Very recommended for couples and families to stay here. If I have to stay here again I wish hotel have got some improvements!

Beautiful, beautiful hotel! The lobby and the restaurant has some art installations placed. There's a pool and a gym with decent equipments. Room is beautifully designed, bedding is comfortable, and I personally like how they separate the toilet, the shower, and the washbasin, so that people can do their business separately at the same time! So thoughtful. The coffee provided in the room is the same kind that they use in the cafe at the lobby, and it's a really good coffee. The restaurant is good but the breakfast menu can be improved both taste-wise and variety. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay.

The first Time after years not coming to DIY with my fams. Get to check in to this amazing hotel... Personally i like the vibes and the cozy family ambience of the hotel... But what you have to know is the Amenities provided is so luxurious since they use their own Ground Coffee INSPIRO. The taste of their Light Coffee is superb and has the kick to make you stay refreshed after 3 hours stuck in the car. The Check In proccess is superb and the trivia explained by the Front Office Staff is nice to ring at my ear. The one setback is only the view of their 3rd floor family room is construction area... Only that. The pool is small but has its charm...

Wonderful hotel, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. They has many helpful and very kind staff. There was one staff named SAPTO at bell clerk that was wonderfully helping me and my family during my stay! Look for him and he will nicely assist you. Great experience!!

This Hotel has a great coffee shop inside! Their Capuccino is good although for me the foods are not so tasty but the price is fair enough. Nice ambiance to have a short office work here.

WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK TO GAIA COSMO! It was an amazing experience. Anyway, they forgot to attach thay they have a gym inside, so leave ur incidental daily gym passes, and use their in-house gym instead. Finally, a hotel in Yogya that genuinely exceeds my expectations! My room was clean, spacious and bright. I love how it actually does not have a bathroom, but rather a shower and a toilet each in separate frosted glass cubicles, and a wide sink station that is kinda just there. Very convenient to reach for things on the bathroom counter from the bed. The interior design is superb. I love the layout and the combination of the furniture, the flooring, the bathroom tiles etc. I love how my room was easily reachable through one flight of stairs, and how there are moving mechanical decorations on the wall of the hall that makes the hotel feel so modern and adorably quirky. Breakfast was good. I had kwetiau and capcay, both loaded with fresh vegetables. A bit sweet, as expected in Yogya, but not overdone, and well balances. The hot tea was also very good--they serve this fragrant jasmine tea, which I think is very thoughtful for a hotel breakfast. Location-wise at first I hesitated due to my unfamiliarity with this part of town, but soon I realised it's still quite strategic if your activities are in central and south Yogyakarta. About 15 minutes to Jalan Solo, which is very reasonable.

This is one of the best hotel i've been in yogyakarta..with reasonable price i got a great and clean room with great view,,and the food was amazing, i didn't even need to eat out,, the staff was super friendly and super helpfull especially mas bima,,the lobby and roastery for those who loved coffee was spot on.. really 10 out of 10 from me and my family..definitely will be back here,,thanks gaia cosmo

To be honest, it's a good hotel with good service but their coffee sucks. I would've give 5 start if only their coffee was at least decent.

Had a great stay at GAIA hotel. The breakfast is extensive and the room is clean and organised. There wasn’t a lot of parking available for cars, but there was a free valet service available. Which worked great. I would recommend to install time slots for the pool, otherwise it will be occupied by children and smoking men. So swimmers and non-smokers can also swim in the pool, without disturbance. They also served great coffee at the bar.

Great hotel. Great price. Great service. The interior is well designed. The room is spacious and really clean. Wifi is fast. Breakfast selection is quite diverse. They even let you borrow a bike.

When I write reviews, I always try to be fair and consider the price that I have paid. This boutique hotel is definitely worth a 5 stars rating. For the price paid, the room amenities which include their amazing in house drip coffee is spectacular. We stay at premier family suite and we love how spacious the room is, and how it is beautifully lay out with its own living room. The breakfast is pretty great, again for the price we paid, the selection is great with delicious Indonesian foods which I personally love. Service is great, staff from front desk to housekeeping are all polite and friendly. A must stay and absolute gem in Yogyakarta.

What captured my attention the most is this: they provide high class ground coffee in the room, free. This is very uncommonn in hotels around here. Cool industrial style for its interior design. The toiletries quality are above average. Clean room, friendly staff. The separated shower and toilet area is time-efficient for occupants. Delicious and various food option. Nice room lighting. If i have to say one thing that lessens the experience is the thin wall, which can not perfectly dampen the noise from the outside of the room.

Good location, great hotel, comfortable lobby and room. We stayed at the Family suite, a big room with two bedroom and a small pantry with small round table, one bathroom and one separate toilet, and superb amenities. We received a welcome fruit in the room. Parking lot is limited but the hotel provided a bigger lot 50M from the hotel, and pickup service with a golfcart. Lobby is a comfy floor with a coffee shop and swimming pool in the same level.

the staffs were great, the room was squeaky clean and pretty, breakfast was decent. the only thing i didnt like was the pillow.. too hard and high, stayed for 5 nights so it really hurt my back. my overall experience staying here was great, thank you!

I love the room but, if I want to drink cold milk: where is the air conditioner? I'll let the milk warm. The bed is comfortable and soft. I always play in the room. I dislike that my room is near the plant on the heights. But, I love watching Nickelodeon on Television. I eat at the hotel and swim at the public pool. There are not many swimmers in the pool, but I like the security and, their hotel has their own paper and pencil! I stayed for 3 days. There is dessert, food and drinks! I don't have any photos or screenshots.

Your front desk service is 1/5 Thankfully the hotel room and facility 5/5 - I booked this for a company trip for 12 rooms via Agoda, so we asked the the night before to arrange the room based on name. The front desk REFUSED TO HELP (not politely). Because we booked in from Agoda - half of my group came early to drop off their bags at the reception the front desk was not friendly at all, (although my friend dk how was the booking name was under) but plz it was for a large group - i got a call 5.56 in the morning, from a front desk, out of nowhere, no greeting, nothing whatsoever, turnsout it was a wrong number. Asking is this xxx, is this xxx? Then hangs up Your hotel front desk services needs revamp. Its like a 2 star hotel front desk ngl The room is amazing tho, ac was cold, breakfast was amazing. But damn that front desk lady is annoying

Awesome place to stay in Yogya. Only issue is its a little out of the centre but it was perfect for us. It has a dope little coffee roaster/Cafe and a restaurant in the lobby which is open 24/7 and is surprisingly good quality at a reasonable price for hotel food. Would 100% recommend.

Got a very good room with a very good price here, although it's a little bit different from the photos.. the hotel lobby is so beautiful, cozy restaurant with outdoor seating too, and the food is excellent. Located not too close to the crowded, touristy places but still very easy to get around so the location is perfect. Overall a very good 4 star hotel.

This hotel is our savior wkwk. We decided to go to Yogyakarta during the long weekend where we also didn't book hotels beforehand. We had to call many hotels at that time to inquire about room availability, most of which were empty, around 10pm. Luckily, Gaia Cosmo still has rooms when we call. We went straight to the hotel because we were tired after a walk. I am satisfied with this hotel, everything is good including the rooms and contents, the ambience, services, and also their breakfast menu.

Great place to stay! Always great room condition. The pool is low on acid! I cam even swim without googles! You will be welcomed with some strong smell of coffee because they have their own roastery. They also have bikes for you to rent (free!) and they have nice rooftop bar as well. Been here a couple time and not getting bored at all

Upon checking into the room, I was greeted with damp smell lingers in the room. Dust everywhere, and for those who are dust sensitive, you might want to rethink twice of staying in this establishment. A lot of crevices that is covered in bed of dust. My bed sheet had multiple blood stains on it and strands of hair. Had a terrible experience with the room as I enjoyed my stay in GAIA bandung, and utterly dissatisfied with cosmo.

It was a nice hotel that is affordable, clean and comfortable. It is definitely worth the price, the breakfast was good for its price with many options to choose from. There is a dining area near the pool although, some brought their breakfast in the sitting area of the pool making it a bit dirty and not hygienic. Overall, the hotel was great and the staff serving were amazing!! You should totally come here for a stay next time you are in Jogja.

Thank you for hospitality at all. From the concierge, security, reception, FB staff and Housekeeping every person give a warm hospitality. Overall for the room was good, only attention about bathroom cleanliness, still found a bed smell, watermark in the toilet bowl, watermark from pee of guest before, dirty with rusty on head of sprayer. Food was great with a lot of variation. The waffle little bit hard to eat. I hope this review can make better changing in the near future... Great place for relaxing and Thank you GAIA team ..👍🏻

The room are comfortable. Located in centre of the city. But the receptionist unfriendly, if not strict. I forgot my back when I came down and asked for the receptionist to open the elevator, but the just ask me to call my friends and bring my bag down. After several questioning they willing to open the elevator for me. It's like they treated me like a intruder. I show them my id, mention my room number, they can see my name on the list of guest but still just a helping hand is need to be demand. I'm not saying my hole experiences is ruined by this encounter, but it's more like a glitch in my so call healings time. And also. When I get breakfast they asked me to give a coupon. I stayed for 4 days and every morning before breakfast I need to go to receptionist and asked them to give my coupons. And that interrogation/receptionist keep asking me what room I stayed, how many people, for how long. Just read the monitor already. Still a five star, still great experience. And I will stay there again. Just minimise the encounter with the receptionist.

This is what peak self pampering looks like: With zero expectations, I made a last minute booking on my birthday. I simply meant to get away from the responsibility of having to celebrate my birthday surrounded by friends and family but what I received in the end was far, far more than what I could ever ask for. Upon checking in I mentioned shamelessly that it was my birthday and the lovely lady at the front desk promised to send over “something”. I must add that at this very point I was already in awe practically from the moment I entered the premise as the entire building was very tastefully designed. The lighting hit just right in every corner and all the colors paired very well one with the other. Albeit on the smaller side, the layout made the hotel seem very spacious on the inside. The room was very bright and inviting. I tested the bed and the window seat, both were very comfortable. Then the sheets, oh the sheets. They smelled exactly like my ex boyfriend and the slight whiff I caught of whatever detergent they were using immediately brought tears to my eyes in the most beautiful nostalgic way possible because after all he really was a great guy. I’m sorry, before I get further distracted I must continue to get the word out of how great my stay here was. Like a giddy child, I went on an adventure. Up and down the elevator. This is what Darth Vader sees I thought to myself as I watched the elevator buttons responded by a simple hand gesture, without directly touching them. I sipped on my welcome drink at the rooftop bar as a light drizzle fell on the city below me. Much later in the evening I sat at their restaurant to eat a very hearty bowl of noodles served. I’m not sure what exactly it is that stuck with me the most from my stay because everything down to the smallest details were so seamlessly crafted. It was the fragrant, rich coffee in the room which they ground themselves not some generic brand, the pretty card which I tearfully had to hand in as I claimed my welcome drink. At night, as I drifted into sleep, I realized that life truly is beautiful. The entire stay had my inner child soothed, my insomnia cured, my conscience cleared and for the first time in a long time, I felt truly at peace. Oh by the way, the “something” that was promised by the lovely lady at the front desk was their signature honey toast and later on a bottle of beer.
