Best places: Fortresses in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

👍👍 Was an easy access from Moara de Padure village, a short hike. Nice half day destination from Mureș.When you are at the top the view is amazing. Some sport climbing routes available, trail running, hang-gliding area , lots of forest. Worth a visit.

Striking ruins featuring a 15th-century fortification wall & tower, now serving as a cultural space.

👍 The fortress itself is not greatly preserved, but the walls encircle the hill almost entirely preserving the feeling of a hillfort It's a serene place, worth a visit. Too bad it lacks panels detailing the history of the place and it could use some better restauration works
