👍👍 This is a very interesting part of Nevada history. The museum is very complete and well done. The partial buildings from the Fort have been maintained and provide an informative walk. Well worth the visit if you enjoy history!

👍👍 The Hummingbird Festival at the Station was fantastic! The bird bander, Cyndi Routledge, was amazing to watch & so patient to answer everyone's questions. A definite must experience for anyone that loves hummingbirds. The Station has lots of great animals to see & learn about.

👍👍 Magical. My husband, who is from Kansas, and I have driven past this dozens, if not hundreds, of times over the years without knowing it was there. 12 miles off the interstate, and you are in another world. Fields, rivers, wildflower meadows. This is an underrated gem.

😐 Dayton State Park is a lovely little park with a historic background surrounding silver mining in the area. There are only 10 campsites and until Covid-19 hit, you could almost always find a spot. That’s no guarantee now but I suspect visitation will subside over winter with no hookups at the park....
