A must for people interested in history. A huge monument whose history is worth exploring. Here you can look at everything in under 1 hour and then look at the Amersfoort concentration camp nearby.

A really monumental peace commemorating the importance of Belgian alliances with the Netherlands, or so I think, because what this site is lacking is a little more interpretation for English speakers. Sorry I don't read Dutch. πŸ˜₯

Impressive Monument with a Deep History The Belgian Monument in Amersfoort is without a doubt one of the most impressive monuments that the Netherlands has to offer. Located at the highest point of the Amersfoortse Berg, it not only offers a beautiful building in the style of the "Amsterdam School", but also a deep history dating back to the First World War. It is a tribute from the Belgians to the Dutch people, especially to the people of Amersfoort, for their help during the war years. Despite its size and significance, it is surprising how this monument can remain so hidden. The architecture is beautiful and the surrounding green area invites you to take a peaceful walk. The most exciting part of our visit was the 360-degree virtual tour we took of the monument and garden. It gave us a unique perspective and showed us every detail of this beautiful monument. If you are in the area, be sure to take the time to visit the Belgian Monument. It will definitely touch you deeply and you won't regret it.

Ausreichend...
