De Drie Fleschjes – known in English as The Three Little Bottles – is a historic Dutch bar located just behind the New Church on the Dam Square. A historical Dutch bar, dark and small, located just behind the New Church and next to the Palace, The Three Little Bottles – in Dutch is a De Drie Fleschjes, it’s one of the oldest watering holes in the city. They have been operating as a ‘tasting room’ since 1650 and doesn’t look much changed. They serve a wide range of traditional Dutch spirit Jenever's (a juniper based drink, a Dutch version of a gin) as well as a great range of seasonal rotating beers on tap. This place has a lot of character. We were there last Saturday, as ending of our tour with several expats. It was just amazing how cozy and lovely this place is. Be aware there is a little place, so come with not too many friends ;-) beside that you will meet interesting people right there ;-) The Owner and the bar tenders are friendly and welcoming whether you’re a local or a tourist.

Beautiful authentic Dutch pub, the stuff is nice and helpful. Because of them, and the inside and the fine drinks worth to visit. If you have Amsterdam City Card you get a free spirit, but worth to stay and drink one (or more) beer too. 🍻

Hidden in plain sight, a charming bar that gets just enough traffic to feel alive without being overrun. I had never tried Jenever, and when I told the bartender he immediately gave us a wonderful, thorough overview of our options. A good mix of locals and visitors.

A small gem in Amsterdam. Stop by for a beer and Jenever (or my favorite Drop liqeur). Super friendly service. I ALLWAYS visit this lovely place when I'm in Amsterdam!

By far my favorite bar we went to in Amsterdam. The people behind the bar are happy to teach you about Genever; all the different types and ways to drink it. So friendly.

An awesome place, with cocktails, usually standing. Open since 1650 so it's like a time capsule. Didn't know about it and really like it. The meatball was really good.

Very cool old-fashioned genever tasting house, lined with barrels which are still in use today. Great selection of genever to try, a few beers on tap, and also a range of snacks like Ossenworst to have while you drink. They also serve a range of speciality Dutch cocktails from their extensive range of Bols liqueurs and other spirits. There's not much space (since it historically wasn't a bar, with beer taps a modern addition), only one table inside, so best to go early in the day. Very knowledgeable and welcoming staff

We go there every month and the service is really top, the drinks are great and the snacks are delicious. They even make a tea compared to many other bars in Amsterdam

A real gem in old part Amsterdam being the oldest drinking hole going back to 1615. Crammed and busy and hard to get service but worth the visit.

Great selection of proper Dutch beers, really friendly barman, only criticism would be lack of seats but it's definitely somewhere to stop by. Doesn't attract the stag do's and it's child friendly.

Small space for sampling Jenever/liqueurs mostly by Boll’s distillery. We had a free taster with I am Amsterdam card, but otherwise it wasn’t a very exciting spot. Only one set of seats in the back.

My favorite bar in Amsterdam by far!! Bar tender was super friendly and told us everything we needed to know, including a history lesson. All around great experience. Will definitely be back next time I visit the Netherlands!!

The barman is highly professional and super friendly, couldn’t ask for a better bar man. The pub is quaint with a lovely interior and great drinks in a perfect location. Make sure to try the Bols genever or corenwyn

A fun spot to escape a torrential downpour, whilst sampling Bols genever. Whilst flavoured by juniper, it’s not at all like London gin. And you wash it down with a side drink of beer, rather than diluting with tonic.

Nice atmosphere and a kind barman who serves. I had a nice time here with my friend but we sat only for drinks. They have different kinds of jenevers (Dutch gin) and some beer options. For food, they have some cold cuts (cheese and sausage). There are small amounts of chairs inside. So it is normal to just order your drink, stand and chat.

Splendid! Stand-up only spot, but you really can’t miss it if you like booze 😉 in a very quaint part of town. Our waiter was very kind, knowledgeable and we felt very integrated into the local, historical culture.

Stylish and unique with an incredible old vibe. Super nice staff and prices relatively cheaper than in other places in a similar bar in Amsterdam. Great location as well!

Really cool and authentic bar which has a lot of choices for genever and local beers. I would recommend trying their tiny cocktails/shots with genever because the drink is very unique. The bertender was really informative and friendly ! Loved this experience.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
