So this should be a speakeasy but not that underground anymore? Somehow a bit to touristic and people are really loud there which made my whole experience a bit cheesy… They do have various cocktails and are fine quality. But you’d find better speakeasy type of bar in the city.

Very cozy bar with a speak easy concept that came from the US. Bartenders are very friendly and know their way around cocktails. Great signature cocktails, but they're also happy to take up the challenge for a more custom sort. A tiny bit expensive would be the only downside of this place.

We tried lots of cocktails here. I would rate average taste&quality as above average, but nothing special/outstanding. They are pricey and portions are small/ too much ice. Lots of places on this street suffer from the issue. It doesn’t matter if you book in advance - you still may end up on the shared table or at the bar. Almost no standalone tables where you can enjoy a private conversation. But if your goal is to meet new people the place is good.

This bar has RUINED every Old Fashion I have ever had by making the BEST Old Fashion I have ever had. I’m simultaneously very pleased and extremely furious. Buyer beware. 12 out of 10.

Door 74 was on my wife's must-visit list, and I'm thrilled we went. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a lovely booth, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Our waiter was exceptionally nice and provided us with fantastic cocktail recommendations. What made our experience even more memorable was the waiter's advice on places to visit in Italy, which we greatly appreciated. Door 74 is a lovely venue with a great staff and an amazing cocktail selection. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Cocktails very tasty but a bit expensive. We had a reservation but the staff asked us to change the private table for a shared one, because they had a bigger group coming. For the whole stay I felt as if they didn’t want us there. Unfortunately bathrooms were terrible.

Would not recommend this bar! We where unable to find the bar as it does not have a sign on the outside. The front of house mixed race women was very rude and had an attitude. She sat us down in the small corner and we had to wait a very long time to be served and even given water. The cocktails where average. Do not waste your time.

An Amsterdam favorite. Stuff is great and their creations are super super dope. We celebrated our anniversary here and they gave us celebratory shots! We had a really tasty mezcal cocktail in the skull glass which was very cool! A great sharing cocktail :)

Initially I booked a table, to which we couldn’t make it! We came to check out the place without reservation, which was clear to us we might not find a spot. The hostess was super nice and let us in telling us we need to stand until a table becomes available. The bartenders are always trying to be friendly and find exactly the tastes you like. We got one drink changed because we didn’t like it. While we were there, a girl threw up and since the place is small the smell overtook the place immediately. They cleaned it up and within 5 minutes it was like nothing happened. Super 👍🏻 Very speakeasy ambiance! One suggestion: the music shouldn’t be that loud, the fact that people speak already is enough. I can’t wait to go again

A great, traditional Speakeasy! Speakeasy's are my go-to bar, I love them. Anywhere I go on holiday, or to visit I will try to find a Speakeasy. Door 74 hits all the buttons. No signage, just a black door with a bell to get in. This is how a Speakeasy should be designed. Entry is through a dark hallway, with curtains and plants and keeps the bar well hidden. A typical nod to the prohibition era. Service here is awesome! Was never left without a drink, or water. Cocktails are great, very tasty and quite reasonable in price compared to some I had while visiting. The only gripe I have, is the shared table arrangement - don't get me wrong, I know the place is small and they need to get people in but as an introvert and someone who wanted a nice date night with my wife - I wasn't a fan. We dealt with it, and the two ladies at our table kept to themselves and it was alright! 100% will return again when back in Amsterdam. Keep up the great work!

If you want to experience old world charm , this is the bar to go. Wooden decor , Dim lights and slow music . Exceptional service . The drinks are curated and it’s great to taste and pick from the menu . It’s cocktail bar and no food is served . Have reservation before visiting .

Excellent place for cocktails and perhaps the best speakeasy I found in Amsterdam. Ambience is great Iljöe as the hostess is amazing and Leonard the mixer was super awesome with his cocktails. Will be back again soon!

Personally, my favorite cocktail bar in Amsterdam. The cocktails are unique, and the bartenders are incredibly welcoming, chatty, and nice. You can truly taste some uniquely blended cocktails. I highly recommend trying O.D.L.A and Single Not Ready to Mingle.

Just randomly stumbled across this hidden gem on google and didn't have any expectations, but it turned to be a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam! The host and bartenders were super nice and welcoming, the vibe was great and the cocktails tasted amazingly!

Loved the experience here! Every cocktail was beautiful and well-crafted. We left most of the ordering up to our waitress who asked us questions about spirits we liked, etc and came back several times with amazing drinks that fit each of us. I accidentally made a reservation for 2 when we were a party of 4 and they accommodated us without question. Love the speakeasy vibe, low lights, relaxed environment, high-end flavor profiles and elegant service. 100% will return.

Recommend making a reservation. We showed up around 11pm without one and got lucky after another table left. Creative cocktails and cozy interior make for a great hideout with a small group or on a date. A nice escape from the party bars in nearby Rembrandt square.

It was fun! The cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was great. The only thing that was unfortunate was that the toilet couldn't be locked which made using it a little scary. But everything else was great!

Cool place, I like that there's nothing outside and you gotta have a reservation, makes it feel like it's underground place, even though it shows up in Google maps and in a lot of recommendations online. The cocktails you get are big, which is nice. You can also see the glass shape you get and also have explanations about the tastes and can see the ingredients. The menu is cool and I like that there are not a lot of options.

Great cocktails. Had an on-menu drink and another off-menu. Julian is a master of his craft. Made a truly fantastic cocktail after I shared a few preferences. The details that go into their cocktails are top notch.

Interesting underground place for cocktails in the city Center of Amsterdam. We got some nice cocktails, the experience its quite uique. You can go there only with reservation.

A fabulous cocktail bar! Finding the entrance is quite complicated & intriguing, you have to ring the bell at door 74, yep that’s the bar and not an apartment building. The crew is awesome & funny, drinks are great and the atmosphere is chilled and easy going. They’re open on Christmas Eve! Cocktail prices are reasonable, about 12.5€ per drink. The theme is nicely decorated and intimate. The bar stools are a bit short compared to the bar itself but manageable. It’s strongly recommended to sit at the bar to absorb the atmosphere of the place fully!

We were very excited to try this place out. We made a reservation because this place gets very busy. But it was so underwhelming when we got there. The drinks were pricey which is typical for cocktail bars but the drinks were so watered down. We were a group of 5 and only 2 of the 5 drinks we ordered were pretty good. The rest of them were so bad. My husband ordered one of their cocktails and it tasted like it was whiskey mixed with water. He said he would of rather they have just served him a glass of whiskey. Anyways the atmosphere of the space was dark and cozy. Restrooms were extremely tight. Waiters were very rude and didn’t really care about you. Honestly, if your in Amsterdam for a limited time, I feel it’s worth it to skip this place and go elsewhere.

Friendly and attentive staff, inventive and very well crafted original cocktail recipes that are also presented in a classy way. Speakeasy style entrance is a nice touch, the people attending the door also always make sure the place isn't overcrowded so that the touch of elegance isn't lost. Highly recommended!

One of the cocktail bars you need to try in Amsterdam, it’s a bit hidden so be on the lookout. The hostess was so kind and seated us in even if we didn’t have a reservation, thank you Talita!🫶🏼 Their menu is quite large and contains bits and pieces for everything you could wish and is really well structured. The staff is also really nice and ready to give you a recommandation if needed, also you can ask for their list of recommendations in Amsterdam, i found some cool spots there. Thank you for the experience🤍 Pro tip: try to make a reservation and ask to be seated at the bar, so you get to have the whole experience.

Lovely little bar in Amsterdam - some extremely nice cocktails. However, for being such a small bar. I am surprised on how you can be forgotten about and not checked on during your night. But still a 4 star place

Amazing experience. The place is really cool and cocktails are astonishing & delicious. Main bartender Julien is a magician and a lovely person able to create fascinating mixes. He took a long time to discuss with us about his knowledge and best places to drink cocktails in other countries. Definitely a place to for cocktails lovers

Lovely hidden gem! Speak easy bars are always something a little different. Cosy, well priced with a large selection of drinks. Cocktail menu is decent too with a little history about it. Staff very welcoming and easy going. Will return on our next trip for sure 😊 (didn’t eat food but couldn’t leave those review stars empty) 😅
