A cozy and reasonably priced taco place that is plastered with graffiti art. A small upper floor overlooking the bar and the rest of the restaurant consisting of a long slim high table with stools so you can people watch while enjoying the offerings of the place. Behind this, some smaller, more intimate seating for a few pairs of people are lined up against the wall, with windows glancing into the backyard. Service was swift, welcoming and lively :). Food was good to great. Although we only ordered 2 different tacos, the vegan spicy chicken and the shrimp tacos. Both were lovely but not as delicious as Madre's 3D printed "pork". However, the portions and prices were more generous compared to those of Madre. The acoustics were also great at Mr Haz Taco Bar as we could talk in our usual volume very comfortably and we could not hear other people's conversations. Overall, this taco place is great for the price and portions, their local beer selection is also amazing, in our opinion. Atmosphere and service are very welcoming, warm and, hm, true (?) to its spirit... i don't want to use authentic because I don't know Mexican culture, but if it is like Mr Haz, then authentic will be a good word for it

Overall, food was OK. Tacos were really good, but the nachos we ordered were very far from justifying the price tag. The main issue was time: we sat down at 7pm, and by 7.30 we still hadn't ordered. We managed to get drinks at around 7.50, and food came at 8.15 (we ordered 3 tacos and one portion of nachos). We also asked the staff to clean our table as it was visibly dirty from the previous customers, they told us they would do it 'in a minute' but never came. Finally, we had to ask to re-calculate the bill twice before being charged for what we actually ordered, as the previous customers' order was still on our tap. It's a pity, because the tacos were indeed very good, but not enough to justify 90 minutes of waiting, and arguably the bill.

Enjoy so much such a nice atmosphere. Very first time visit..but very chill place to dining with friends. Definitely delicious tacos. I really love the fish taco. If I have opportunity to visit Amsterdam again will absolutely go visit you again!!

The cocktails were great! The tacos… only so-so. I expected better from a place that specializes in this dish. Chicken tacos were their best. Still not a bad overall dining experience!

Friday night with a group of friends, what's better than a social mex dinner? The place is not super big, so reservation is mandatory especially for big groups. We had some nachos as shared starter, then a selection of different tacos, to try almost everything on the menu. I was personally not amazed by the nachos, but the tacos were really a great experience: vegetarian, fish based, meat tacos. My favourite was the one with shrimps and avocado, totally recommended! And pitcher of frozen margarita all along dinner, to cheer at the bars and restaurants being reopened now! We paid 60€ each, but the price went up with all the pitchers we got (8 or 10 at least, don't even know). 😅

Good and friendly service. The cocktails were disappointing, I guess they weren't made in a professional way, the price though is really close to professionally made ones! For one euro more you can get a very tasty and well presented Mezcal Mule in other places. The Fresca Mexicana had a very dominant artificial taste. The grilled steak taco's 🌮 were medium rare and super tasty! The portion price was very high in my opinion 10,5 euro for 2 small serves. To feel relatively full 😋 I need at least 6 serves - > ~30 euro of taco's . It's a bit too much for what it really is !!

Best Tacos you will find in Europe. Everything is made in house. To include tortillas, pickled onions, and amazing sauces. The owner is a pleasure to converse with!

This place is amazing. Best tacos in town. Authentic and everything homemade. The service was just great. Ordered the jerk chicken with mango which were absolutely delicious. Would definitely go back. It was my birthday and we had tequila tasting with a great explanation by the owner about how tequila is made and the stories of the different brands we tried. Wonderful experience in an amazing place!

Friendly and helpful service, charming atmosphere and excellent food. If there was a sixth star Mr. Haz would get it. Recommend the guacamole/chips, shrimp tacos, jerk chicken tacos, Mexican salad and dolce de leche icecream and churro dessert... basically everything we had was fantastic, so odds are that rest of the menu is too. Must visit if you like mexican flavours with a foodie's flare.

Karina, the owner, always working at the restaurant is really awesome and always willing to have a good conversation. The food and atmosphere is always excellent. Having moved from the US back in September, I found Mr Haz taco bar such and easy going bar vibe where you can actually sit at the bar and have a nice conversation and always meet someone interesting. The terrace is always super nice in the summer time to enjoy some cool breezes and sun while having a delightful margarita and tacos. If your in the area pop in and see Karina for a nice chat and some excellent food :) oh and always ask for the special, she always has something unique up her sleeve. Also props to the super busy chefs that so an excellent job managing all the orders. Sit at the bar if you want to watch the magic happen.

We had dinner along with the long flight tequila tasting. The pulled pork tacos, jerk chicken tacos, asparagus tacos and the cheese nachos were all good. Portions are small (as tacos typically would be), so we definitely could have had more! All ingredients are homemade which makes everything better too. The long flight tequila tasting was definitely the highlight of the night, the owner was lovely and she took us through the 5 tequilas with a lot of added background knowledge and stories. Service was from an incredibly hospitable French waitress - she was great!!

I wish I could like this place more. Yes the taco's are great, and I loved the craft beer I had. But the price to quality ratio is just not there for me. The nachos are 7.5 and for that you get the choice between cheese or guacamole and a small portion. Cannot tell for certain we would go back, we might just not sure.

The place is cute but we found it had a very poor price-quality ratio. I am still trying to understand where in Mexico they saw tacos in wheat tortillas :/ Service was friendly but very slow; we waited around 45 minutes for our tacos. We sent back to the kitchen the nachos we ordered. We had never seen such sad nachos. Even being quite a big group we could all of us easily agree on that.

The staff were very friendly and French-speaking, we liked the atmosphere post of all. It's a soothing spot in the bustling Jordaan neighborhood! The tacos were good but not the best I've ever tasted. They have nachos to share.

The best tacos I have ever had! 😍 My absolute favourite was the shrimp tacos. Great place where to hang out with friends, loved the atmosphere both indoor and outside in this very pitoresque street of Amsterdam. Will definitely go there again in the near future.

Absolutely delicious tacos! Simple yet bursting with just the right spices. The Jerk is an absolute winner. The ambience is cozy for a date night, a fun evening with a friend. Good cocktails too (although I missed tequila rush, in hindsight great decision for a Tuesday). The prices are very reasonable for a place smack in the ring. Full points, a regular visit.

Taco’s are street food, often eaten standing up at a festival or walking along after leaving the pub with Andre drinks inside you! So often this means they are delivered without finesse or real care for the quality of ingredients. At Mr Haz the chef’s care is apparent in each dish. The quality of the ingredients is clearly paramount, and the consideration given to each Taco recipe shows in the balanced flavours. Genuinely a boy if a revelation. The prices here in an expensive pet if an expensive city are reasonable and the location is perfect, a quiet street in a busy area. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Amazing Tacos and good vibes in the heart of Jordaan. The tacos are freshly made and really tasty. Lots of Vegan and Vegetarian options as well, for everyone who is looking for a meat free alternative. A big plus is also the very unique interior and the very friendly owner. We enjoyed our evening. The ambiance was loose and nice. The food was good. The drinks also good. Only thing was that the service could have been more proactive. We ordered 3 times but we wanted to eat and drink more.

Me and my partner discovered this hidden gem while exploring the streets of the Jordaan during our last night in the city and we couldn't have asked for a better find. The restruant has a really cool vibe with amazing graffiti style art. The lady working gave us a warm and friendly welcome, the service was quick and the food/cocktails were INCREDIBLE! Thank you for a lovely last evening, we will definitely be back during our next trip to Amsterdam. HIGHLY recommend (especially the steak tacos which were cooked to perfection)☺️

I must say the service was really good, the ladies were flexible and pleasant. Unfortunately, i drank a gin&tonic that tasted soapy, tacos were dry and nachos didn’t taste like anything. The dessert of dulce ice-cream was really good. However, you don’t go to a taco bar for a spanish dessert… Even though, the service was really nice. I wouldn’t recommend going there, also taking into the consideration the price :/
