Great stay. The hotel is exactly as it looks in pictures, maybe even better in reality. Well connected to the city centre, the tram stop is right across the street, 10 minutes and you’re there. Great quiet location. Friendly staff. Room was clean and had everything we needed. It was our first trip to Amsterdam and this hotel was a great choice :).

A really nice hotel, the location is very good - straight to the tram stop. The staff was very nice, the rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was also good, a lot of choices. Also you can storage the luggage until check in or after check out. I do recommend!

This hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. It had all you would expect for quite a good price. The daily room service was nice. Rooms themselves were large enough and had good showers. The beds were comfortable. Everything felt quite clean. It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest train station however there is a tram stop just out front.

We stayed at the hotel for a week, on the night before we left Amsterdam, during packing, we realised that one of the Heineken beers with my boyfriend's name was missing, the beer was missing but the box was left together with other boxes. After a thorough thinking, we are sure that the beer was stolen in the room not anywhere else. We went to the reception to open a compliant, the staff promised that she will document the event and inform the manager next day who will investigate and inform me the results. However, it has been over a month, I did not hear anything from the hotel. It is very disappointing and unpleasant !

This hotel is an excellent place to stay just out of central Amsterdam. It was right next to the tram stop and a 10 minute walk from the train station that takes you straight to the city centre. The room was a comfortable size and the bathroom was very spacious. Everything was clean and the daily service was great. Easy self check in and out, and staff are friendly. Really good value for money!

This is one of the best hotels I've ever been during my short-term trips in Europe. Our room was the cheapest one in their offer during our stay and it was very big, with a lot of light, with nice view from two, huge windows. Bathroom was also great and clean. Some of the room decor materials were a bit worn but what to expect for that price? Despite this, the room decor and lighting were perfectly composed and it was very nice to spend time in it. An additional plus was the coffee machine in the room which made us delicious coffee! Localisation of this XO Hotel is not in the city center. By tram it takes around 20-25', but tram stop is just in front of the hotel's doors, so it is very practical. I can recommend this hotel for everyone who needs quite cheap, but very very very nice stay in Amsterdam!

    - The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. I traveled with my family, total 8 people and booked 3 rooms. We all were happy with our staying in the hotel. - The location is a bit side from the central, but ease to access to the city center by tram 19. Also the tram stop is just in front of the hotel which is very convenient. - The staff were friendly!! Check-in/out were self service, but mostly staff were there to help people. - Breakfast was good! But you should make a reservation at least on your arrival by 7 pm. Otherwise you don’t get discount if you book in the next day for rest of days I would come back again to stay!!

Bad experience! First if you want to check in a little bit before you have to pay for it, 10€ per hour, depends on how many hours have you arrived before, which I’ve never heard of in other hotels. Second, the hotel is not clean, toilets with yellow water stain left when we just check in, sheets with hair on it. Third, we tried to order tooth brush from the reception and they just asked you to pick it at downstairs, when I went down, two receptionist were chatting and laughing there, it seems that they prefer enjoy their working time like that than giving your toothbrush at the door. NEVER BE BACK AGAIN, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!

We picked this hotel for its location on a tram line and their good prices. Travelling with 2 kids. And I was impressed. Very clean, large generous rooms, nothing missing. So truly a good choice keeping un mind that it's out of the centre.

Nice hotel for price but a bit of a trek to the centre. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms look nice but cleaning is slap dash! Bin not emptied, rubbish under bed and found in corner (not ours), tissue box left empty. Underfloor heating in bathroom not working. Came back late to find cleaner left window wide open!

The hotel rooms and service were more than adequate. Rooms were spacious and clean. It was a bit far away from the centre though the bus service was regular and reliable. The bus stop outside the hotel. 25, minutes to get down town. There was no restaurant which was a bit of a problem. prices a bit overcharged

Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Comfy bed. Convenient location. Overall a great experience I would stay here again. Room had nespresso, nice sized shower, safe, central air and was really roomy. Tip, get food before 9:00. After 9, nothing is open in that area for dinner.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. It is not in the city center but it is easily and fast reachable by tram. Also the Sloterdijk station is nearby, so the place is very convenient transport-wise. Everything from the room to the service was great. No need to put pictures of the room as it was precisely the same as their website. Only feedback I can give is to swap the liquid hand soap with a normal one, but this is a personal preference. Definitely recommend the place!

No need to be in the too busy and tourist infested centrum. With XO Park West you are right by a convenient tram line that goes to town, and just one stop from a train station where you can travel to the airport or other Dutch cities. Nice spacious rooms in a nicely redone building that is still very reminiscent of a 70s office building that it once was. Great breakfast buffet. Good!

  • 4/5 Oona K. 1 year ago on Google
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was great: there's a beautiful park nearby and the tram stop is right outside. The staff is very helpful and nice. :) Rooms are alright, but it was a bit difficult to breathe especially in the mornings. Made us think that there might be a mold problem. The rain shower was a nice feature, but didn't work perfectly (the water pressure was partly off). I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay. Longer stay might be uncomfortable because of the (possible) mold.

  • 5/5 Paula S. 1 year ago on Google
Great location right by the tram line so easy to get to all the tourist areas quickly. Clean and comfy. Some in our group have food allergies so we really appreciated that the breakfast buffet had good clear allergy labelling. Thanks for a great stay.

Great hotel for a few days away in Amsterdam, rooms very spacious and with lovely bathroom. Really useful digital do not disturb, clean up and doorbell signs. Tram stop outside the hotel and Sloterdijk station about 10 minutes walk away

  • 2/5 Maria K. 1 year ago on Google
The bathrooms were very nice. It was obvious that these were new. The cleaning in the rooms is below average as it was clear they do not clean under the bed where we found bottle caps, cereal and dentures from who knows how many previous guests. The beds were very hard to sleep on but I suppose that’s a sign they are new. The cushions were too small and flat, and the towels were too small so there is a potential for improvement there. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with a wide variety of foods but the dining area is very cold.

  • 4/5 Joe S. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely room nice staff. Only downsides . The restaurant was only open for breakfast. And the bar wasn’t open during our visit. As some nights would be nice to chill at the hotel have a couple of beers rather than go out. Other than that the tram stop being outside is very handy and easy to use. And the Italian opposite is first class.

  • 5/5 Donna G. 1 year ago on Google
Ideal base for a trip to Amsterdam. Tram stop directly outside. Staff were really friendly. Room was huge. Everything was spotless. Worth noting as it may bother some people, there is no alcohol served at this hotel. We are not drinkers so didn't phase us.

My partner booked this hotel for a 3 night stay, it was a fab experience. The staff were helpful, everyone was friendly - everyone said good morning/hello to each other, breakfast was delicious & great selection. The tram line is outside the hotel making traveling around easy. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

Our room was very cold. They gave us another room because the heating system was broken in that room. This was a very kind behavior. But the new room they gave us was also very cold. The room was 22 degrees. We got sick after our stay. Besides this, we were very satisfied. Hotel is very close to the train station. You can easily reach from the airport. I don't know why but my credit card was overcharged after our stay.

  • 5/5 Jepoi D. 6 months ago on Google
We were supposed to stay on the ground floor per our original booking (via a third-party website). When we checked in, the receptionist modified our booking and changed our room to one on the 3rd floor so it will be quieter. Staff also provided suggestions on where to eat, since it was our first time in Amsterdam. Would probably come back to stay here, when we return to visit Amsterdam.

This hotel isn't worth how much they charge. Our room was fairly clean. The first day we stayed the carpet definitely wasn't vacuumed and there were some stains on the sheets but nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel. I did notice that they vacuumed the other 2 nights we stayed. The rooms were pretty dark and it was in a quiet neighborhood so that was helpful. The tram does come right in front of the hotel but beware if you're in the center the tram does stop running right after midnight. The shower was the best part - fully enclosed which is odd for Europe. Just don't think it's worth how much they're charging and if you want to spend a lot of time in the city, stay closer to the center.

We stayed at this hotel twice for a total of 6 nights. The location is great. It’s walking distance from Sloterdjik Station and Tram 19 is right out the front door. The hotel is huge with nice lobby areas to relax. Unfortunately, neither the bar or the restaurant were open when we were there which is such a shame given how nice they looked. The beds were comfortable and the showers were modern and worked well. During our first stay, everything was perfect. We had a larger room and it was very clean. Our second stay we had a smaller room, smaller bed and the housekeeping did not meet our expectations. The front staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in Europe. I booked 2 rooms with my friends. The staff at the reception is not familiar with hospitality. They are not competent in many subjects. Especially they keep interns at the front desk, but since their English and knowledge is insufficient, we continued to have problems every time. Although we paid 10 euro per hour for late check out, we were not allowed to enter our room for 30 minutes, moreover, we were not even apologized for this. The hotel rooms work with a card system. During our stay, the card system broke down and we could not enter our room. The technical infrastructure and staff are quite inadequate. I never think of staying again. The worst part of our beautiful vacation was that we chose this hotel and stayed here.

Great hotel! Located right outside a tram stop which was super convenient and close to the train stop. Staff didn’t seem super happy (hence the lost star) but apart from that, was great. Heaps of stuff downstairs too in relation to food/etc.

Me and my partner have just arrived home after staying here I can honestly say it was a really nice hotel very clean the room we were staying in was spotless and so spacey the shower was also very decent, there is a tram right outside the hotel which will take you to the main bit of Amsterdam which roughly takes 20/25 mins and Also train station is about 7 mins away so very handy. The only thing that was a negative some of the staff were very rude wouldn’t smile or talk and just give you a horrible look think one of them was a cleaner, but most of the staff were ever so lovely and helpful and if you needed something they would help! All in all had a pleasant stay here and would most probably come back again if I visit Amsterdam.

First of all, we had a lovely Christmas in Amsterdam, we arrived on the 23rd. The hotel was very well-positioned the tram stop is just across the street very close to the centre. Secondly, the breakfast was nice with plenty of choices. The only negative aspect is that one day before our checkout one item went missing, to mention that in the room we had access only to us and the cleaning staff. This is disrespectful, we have been staying in so many hotels in different countries and never such things happen. Overall the staff was very friendly, but this negative aspect which is very important makes us never come back. Thank you!

Great quality rooms for reasonable prices. Tram is literally a stone throw away, access to the centre is very easy and we did walk it a few times! Service amazing! Rooms were cleaned every day, to a high standard. Thankyou so much for a faultless stay!

Very nice hotel right next to the public tram station, room is cozy and clean. Lots of food and snacks available in the lobby and sitting area is very huge and good. It’s really worth the price checking in and out is very smooth and hassle free. The view from room is very good. I highly recommend this place it’s just 1 station away from main flexi bus station and rail staion.

Receptionist very rude. I call the reception (him) between 9-10pm please bring me a tissue box and bath mat cause when I checked in the room at that night, it was not completed with toilet amenities. He responded as his colleague was going out to have dinner, if you want now, you can grab it at the reception (as a guest, we dont want to know anything about the hotel or staff problems) And before I hang up the call, he responded by rising his voice with ANYTHING ELSE?! He has no manner at all. I suggest this hotel owner or manager should strongly remind his team what is ATTITUDE and understand how to work in HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. I stayed here on 20-23 February 2024.

House keeping did not clean the last day… and the reception said it was because the house keeping said that the room was on do not disturb but when we arrived it literally says it’s for clean up. 1. Reception is saying that we’re the one who put it on the do not disturb which we told them that if they checked their cameras it would show that it was for clean up. 2. Very inconvenient and they keep pushing that it was on do not disturb. 3. THE RECEPTION CAME UP AND WE ASKED FOR AT MINIMUM AN APOLOGY AND HE LITERALLY SAID “why should i apologize if im not the housekeeping” All I can say… people shouldn’t be doing hotel business if they do not have hospitality. I’ve seen that the hotel replied to this review.. Our room is on do not disturb since we arrived at the hotel at 10pm and we were planning to sleep. As we informed the reception. Even in the reply there was no apology and they insisted that we are lying. We asked the hotel to check their cctv as for the whole day the room was on CLEAN UP. And they do not want to. Instead, they call us liars. What could possibly happened was the house keeping checked the floor before 2pm and as we were still in the room and have left at 2pm, they didn’t bother to return and clean the room. WHICH COULDVE BEEN SOLVED BY A SIMPLE APOLOGY FROM THE RECEPTION AS PER THEIR HOUSEKEEPING. Instead, the staff was rude and the reply to this review is unbelievable. Can you imagine your hotel forgetting to clean your room and WOULD REFUSE TO SEND YOU CLEAN TOWELS when they ask you to throw the towels on the floor to make sure the housekeeping cleans them? In fact the reception was the one who started the conversation as he knocked and gave the things and started the conversation with: “next time do not put your do not disturb button on” WHEN WE REPEATEDLY INFORMED THEM THAT THEY CAN CHECK ALL EVIDENCES that our room was for cleaning instead they do not accept their mistake and was RUDE!!!!!!!!! Extremely rude in fact. The conversation ended with us asking for an apology and the receptionist said “why should i apologize if i’m not housekeeping?” and i told him it’s part of hospitality and he said no so i told him this conversation is useless. BECAUSE IT IS USELESS TALKING TO SOMEONE THAT IS UNREASONABLY UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t understand why people who work in this hotel are like this. It’s a shame. I can’t believe there’s actually hotels like this.

  • 1/5 Fotis C. 2 years ago on Google
We had a room with 4 beds. The cleaners made only 2 of them. For the 2 that were made, the pajamas were thrown on the floor and left there. We took photos and showed the reception desk. Reception refused to fix the issue. They told us they would inform the cleaning manager and the room manager the next day between 9am and 6pm. We told them we would have checked out by then, and they refused to call or inform anyone while we were there to get this fixed. The person that talked to us behind the reception desk had a disrespectful and smug attitude. Would recommend only if you have no problem being disrespected in several ways just to save some money.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel while visiting Amsterdam under precarious Covid situation. It was a very comfortable stay mainly thanks to great staff who work there. The hotel might look a bit old from the outside but inside its modern and the rooms are very good with all amenities we needed. It's fairly close to the centre and the tram stops in front of the hotel. Due to restrictions with Covid we had to have takeaway in the room and staff offered to arrange an area for us to eat close to reception which was great. The breakfast was sufficient but would need some improvement in terms of options for vegans. Great overall and would visit if we're in Amsterdam again.

Nice hotel, room and bathroom Clean and very spacious room. They have everything you need. It also has a coffee machine in room although I never managed to get it to work, but no fault of hotel as I didn't mention it. Has a bar that was closed due to covid but had vending machines and lidl is 5mins away. Overall great experience of hotel.

The hotel was as the pictures show. We did try to upgrade but it wasn’t available to us. But the hotel room was big, it came with tea and coffee (not a lot but we asked for more). The bed was big enough, it was 2 single beds but it was okay. The bathroom was very nice and clean and the space was big. The staff that we did interact with were helpful and nice and helped us a lot. The hotel was not central but there was a Tram station outside of the hotel. It takes about 2 trams to get to the centre and it costs about 8€ euros for 24 hours and 14€ for 48 hours. Would definitely return and recommend the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. And this is what makes this hotel more than worth staying at. A little outside the city centre of Amsterdam but has great connectivity to it. Enjoyed my stay here. It has massive rooms and bathrooms, and are very clean. Enjoyed my stay herem if I visit Amsterdam again, I'll definitely consider staying here again.

The whole stay went well, the hotel is well located, you are 20 minutes by tram and 15 minutes by car from the centre. When I arrived, the reception was pleasant, I was surprised by the behaviour of the reception during the day, which was totally different. The rooms are as in the photos, there is everything we need, not disturbed by the neighbours noise level. Unfortunately I was disturbed by a big negative point, a lot of dust in the room, whether on the furniture in the room or in the bathroom it was a disaster! For an allergic person like me it was horrible during the night. I talked about it at the reception at the time of my check out but I just had the right to a "We're Sorry.. bye"

  • 4/5 Jarmila Z. 2 years ago on Google
I was here for the second time, for exhibition. I like it here, you are almost in Centre of Amsterdam (with tram about 20 minutes to Damm), but quiet. Good and rich breakfast, nice stuff, big rooms. And good bed!

  • 2/5 Tomislav B. 2 years ago on Google
TLDR: Not so clean room as expected. Next time i will go somewhere else. Well i assume i had once in a while experience. There was still urine on the toilet seat when we entered the room. Also there was a lot of dust. I have requested another room but they were insisting to stay in the room and that we give them another chance with cleaning. We did exactly that, but guess what, they again did not clean it well 🤣. Finally we cleaned it by our self. Also staff said they will get back to us in 5 minutes because i was also insisting on new room but i guess they forget. On the other hand i had nice time visiting Amsterdam. As they say, You win some and you loose some.

Checkin is automagic, so it's pretty cool, as well as checkout. They assist you pretty well. The room is also really nice and clean, only you have to ask for all appliances and the hairdryer is not good (classic). There was no bathrobe and no slippers, which I'd expect for a hotel of this caliber. The bed was very comfortable, the chairs way less. Loads of uself drawers for long stayers (see pics). The breakfast is totally worth it, is massive. No decaf coffee option, unluckily. There are super handy machines to buy food even during the night. Overall a good hotel!

The hotel is very beautiful inside. The furniture is modern. We received good service from the staff. Only issue we had was that our room wasn’t ready at 7pm when we got to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is good, has plenty of options and is tasty, definitely worth the money

Hotel was easy to get to - just off highway. Tram stop at front door. Decent clean room and bathroom. Inhouse parking garage had a daily rate while we were there. Breakfast was good. You can rent bikes in-house (easy travel to center by bike - 15-20 minutes).

This relatively cheap hotel is located near a tram station 20 minutes from the city center. Staff were accommodating and very available. The room was wide, well equipped and had floor heating which was unexpected. The decor was less to our taste but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay - the rooms has heated floors which was a big check. The beds were relatively comfy for Europe and the bathroom was fancy. The Nespresso pods were a nice touch. Bike rental service was nice but a little expensive (€18 / day)

Clean room and modern furniture, friendly and helpful staff, self check-in allowed inside the hotel via computer. Cozy lobby to relax and chills. Full day Parking in 15 euro which consider very good price in Amsterdam and easy access to city center via #17 and 19 tram. Usually have to pay extra for the Breakfast Highly recommended the hotel.
