The hotel is nice, but a bit overpriced for what it’s lacking. It was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Our rooms were overlooking the back of the hotel as we requested, therefore it was very quiet at night, which was quite nice! The lobby bar staff were great ! However, a mini fridge is missing. The air conditioning is a bit nosy even when turned off. And the main issue for me were the curtains, which were not black out ones! Quite important for a country with such early sunrises. It’ll be nice if they add some kind of shutters or change the curtains with better ones. p.s I booked the hotel by directly contacting them by mail and I actually wanted the other hotel from the chain booked, which is in the center. However, they misunderstood and booked this one without specifying! Thus, we had some back and forth between both hotels on arrival, which was unpleasant with all of our luggage. They didn’t compensate us for their mistake.

I liked the atmosphere, rooms were clean and simple, unfortunately without a safe. Staff is nice, but kept pressuring us to get breakfast. The hotel also has a parking garage for 30€/day and the metro ist only a 5-minute walk.

Brilliant Hotel, a short walk to the Metro and then 8 minutes into the city centre; €8.50 for a 24 hour ticket and €14.50 for 48 hours and can buy more hours too. Can get the tram but it's 30 minutes into the city but if you don't mind a bit of sightseeing then go for it! Staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly, stayed for 3 nights around £230 p/p and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam

I had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and with good space. The staff super friendly. The location is far from the center but in a nice area and you have transportation available. I am not giving 5 star ranking because I think the policies are a bit greedy and can improve. The cocktails offered were a bit expensive and small in size compared with the price. The room had no shampoo or conditioner for the hair, only body wash, no coffee maker and no refrigerator. These are common things in hotels in Europe.

The room is so small - which isn't a problem. But there is no enough space for the clothes. There is no fridge, kettle. The bathroom is small too, but the shower is comfortable. This is comfortable for one-two nights, but not for a longer stay. There are 3 elevators only - we waited sometimes too long for them.

Excellent all the way. One of the best places to stay in Amsterdam in terms of quality/value/location. Right across the street from transit and lots of good shops around. The lobby is amazing and the rooms very comfortable. Direct transit from the airport using Sprinter. I’ve done a lot of research (hours!) to find a good place and next time I’ll just stay here.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. This is the South area. 5 minutes to the metro, 3 stops to the center by metro, it's 10 minutes. 1 stop to Zuid station for trains to other cities in the Netherlands. Tram number 4 also passes nearby. For recreation and entertainment, there is a huge Amstel Park nearby, as well as Beatrix Park, 10 minutes away with an outdoor pool for kids. The hotel has 3 stars and inexpensive by the standards of Amsterdam. It has 9 floors, and on the upper floors there are huge panoramic windows and a very beautiful view of Amsterdam. Everything is very simple in the room, a double bed, a small table, bedside shelves, a soft round chair, a folding chair, a place where you can hang your clothes. The hotel also has rooms with a large bathroom and a full wardrobe. The staff maintains cleanliness and tries to satisfy all requests. You can stay here with animals. In general, not a luxury, but if you want to save money and settle in a convenient place, then it will suit you.

Very nice hotel, stylish and clean as always when staying with Motel One. Ver friendly staff. Perfect for visiting the city, train station is nearby. They even lowered our room rate afterwards as a fair, which was initially scheduled for that weekend, didn’t take place due to Corona (affected the room rates).

I haven't stayed in hotel, but had some time to kill so I joined some friends for a drink in their lobby. I liked the atmosphere and their staff was amazing. Had some delicious drinks 😍

Really nice place that I wouldn't call a motel. It's a very nice and clean hotel. Rooms are small, yet comfortable. Shower is amazing. Staff is very welcoming. Cleaning on demand, fresh towels accessible at the reception. Steps from RAI exhibition center.

Amazing location, right next to the metro and train station, which can take u anywhere... rooms are little bit smaller, but still great for the price. Staff members are actually really helpful and kind.

We booked here because it was one of the cheapest rooms we could find in Amsterdam for one night and we were really impressed. The rooms are small but very clean and the bed was really comfy. The staff were really pleasant and the bar area is very smart. Location wise the tram metro and train station are all on your door step as well as being a short walk from a park with a play area for kids that ours loved.

A nice hotel very close to the RAI Amsterdam conference centre and metro station. It's about a 10 minute taxi drive from the airport, but I would highly recommend taking the public transport instead as the taxi is rather expensive (Cost me about €40) The hotel is nice, service was good and close to a local supermarket where you can stock up on food and drink. However, I did feel that the rooms were very small for what they were. Clean, comfortable and functional, but still felt rather small for the cost.

Great place to stay if you’re at an event at the RAI. Also only 10min into central. Modern style rooms, clean and tidy. Maid service is a bit basic and there are only paper cups in rooms.

Good value, modern hotel near a metro station for quick access to the city centre. Bike paths just out front of the hotel. Nice full breakfast selection.

We stayed here for two nights because our flight was cancelled. A very decent hotel for this money. The buffet breakfast is quite poor and monotonous. But, they provide a line for vegetarians, which is a plus. I would especially like to thank the reception staff. Irina and Mukhamed (hope I wrote their names correctly) are wonderful! Very polite, friendly and courteous. I give 4 stars only because of them

Not even a 5 min walk from the airport. Self check in via the app. Can select if you want a high or low floor or airport view via the app! The room was compact but it was a very smart usage for the space. I love the design. Black out blinds. Mood lighting. View of the airport! Would stay again!

Great, modern hotel. Smashing beds, good showers, floor to ceiling windows. Not much in the immediate area but well connected to city center and airport via metro and rail. Good value.

Very Nice Hotel in close range of the congress center. I stayed here for an big event. I didn’t have breakfast, so no feedback about that. The room was clean and had a good temperature for the night sleep. The staff was nice and helpfully. If you stay here don’t forget to rent a bike.

Positive: + Quiet inside room. + Good breakfast; have many choice to eat. + Close with metro. + Bed is comfortable. + Room is clean. Negative: - We have problem of the water cannot go through from the sink for 2 nights they cannot fix it. - Need to pay parking 30€ per day.

Clean, friendly, small but convenient rooms, nice breakfast bar, close to public transport

  • 1/5 Xavier W. 5 months ago on Google
The hotel is beautiful and the location is great, the view is nice from the 4th floor, but the rooms are very small, no standard amenities (water, coffee maker, coffee, microwave, refrigerator, etc.) The TV doesn't work. No telephone in the room. No way to reach reception without physically going there if assistance is needed. Limited services. No iron. No closet. If you want a drink, you have to go to the bar if it's open, but if you're thirsty during the night, just drink the tap water. No safe to leave your belongings in. For 155 euros a night, you can find better for sûre

Lovely modern hotel. The room was a bit small but cosy and more than one needed for sleeping, i was on the first floor but the room was quiet and the aircon was working amazingly and quietly. The room had enough space for my stuff and the bathroom was modern and clean, i love the big windows although the view wasn't great The breakfast was quite of a standard with plenty of options and was nice. The bar had plenty of Gin options which i found odd but i am sure other might like it It was quite easy to travel to and from as there are direct lines from the airport and into the city.

You know what to expect from Motel one everywhere. Comfortable , clean and efficient. Dont expect huge spacing and luxury. Comfortable beds and good shower. Nice bar and big ups to Thanos the bartender. Never been a big fan of the breakfast which is limited imo. Good location for events at RAI and with the metro you reach central station in 10 min. For a bit extra I would suggest the Nhow on the other side of the road

Small rooms, no standard amenities (coffee maker, coffee, microwave, fridge, etc.). Previously used soap in bathroom. No telephone in room. No way to reach the front desk without physically traveling to it if assistance is needed. Limited services. No laundry. No iron. No closet. Expensive. Not with the cost when it's a very poorly designed hotel.

“Motel Six minus 5” is how a colleague described this place. Clean and close to the convention center. But tiny tiny rooms. No amenities. No irons. Definitely better choices in Amsterdam

  • 4/5 nigel c. 7 months ago on Google
The hotel is lovely ,although expensive . Rooms lack coffee & tea also 6 clothes hangers isn't the best for 2 people. The bed is very comfortable. Overall rooms are slightly disappointing size & lack of facilities.

  • 5/5 Katrina B. 8 months ago on Google
No free breakfast. We paid for breakfast one day it was good. But you can get a cheaper breakfast if you are willing to walk and just want a coffee and something small. Super close to transit only 4-6 mins away. And apparently you can rent bikes from the hotel.

  • 2/5 Mirkaan T. 3 months ago on Google • 12 reviews New
Let's start with the positive parts: The room had a nice minimalist twist to it, the bed was comfortable and the ambience was cozy. On the other hand: the ventilation was very loud and we had trouble unlocking the door so they had to make us two new cards. But the worst part was - the shower drain is loose (they are made like this, every room has them because they are easy to clean). So when I stepped on it, it budged and slid away and I twisted my ankle pretty bad. Would not go there again..

Amazing interior, super convenient location in the center (heart) of Amsterdam. Our flight was delayed so we reached the motel at 01.00am , the receptionist assisted us with settling pleasantly. Strongly recommend!

  • 1/5 Intermezzo in A. 4 months ago on Google
For me, if I can hear the ventilation in the room, it's a one star note, because the basics of having silence to rest are not met. Also, the pillows are way too thick and uncomfortable. The mattress is not firm enough, it's impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep. Usually I like Motel One, but this one is simply not up to standards!

  • 5/5 Thomas B. 4 months ago on Google
True, you can't step out the door and easily walk to the sights of central Amsterdam, but the location is right on a subway line that will have you there in three stops, not to mention there are trains going directly from RAI station to Schipol airport in about 10 minutes. The hotel itself is still fairly new and in very good condition. The rooms are comfortable and amazingly quiet, even the ones that face the busy road. I don't know what kind of glass they use, but you don't hear a thing. I am very sensitive to hotel noise and on my last trip I forgot to bring my earplugs and was able to sleep without them. You will also save a lot of money staying here compared to the very central hotels.

Close to city center, to the airport, to railway, beautifully decorated, excellent welcoming and service, very clean, quite, polite, nice breakfast and free high speed Internet. All these at a reasonable price! My choice for staying at Amsterdam! If I had to comment on anything, it would be the small size of the rooms, but you only get there for a sleep right? 😊

  • 5/5 Eric R. 1 year ago on Google
Really amazing hotel. The service was insane and all people are really Lovely. The room was also pretty good. Everything you need! Only the shower is a bit weird and i had often the problem that i had too much water outside of the shower. Also my view was not the best but okay You can get to the Tram, Metro or Train in a few minutes to get everywhere. Insane! Price was also crazy good I can't wait to visit Amsterdam again and i know that i will check-in in the Motel One again!

I knew this was a 3-star hotel from the beginning, and my review is based on that. The hotel is not very close to the tourist part of the city. We knew that, and this is why we booked it from the beginning. We like being off the tourist area to explore the neighborhoods and off-the-beaten paths. Plus, if you rent a bike from the hotel, you can be in the tourist part less than 15 minutes. It's exactly what we did, and the bike ride was one of the best experiences in Amsterdam for us. The bicycles are pretty good, nothing fancy, nothing complicated. The rooms are small and simple, but not tiny. They are quiet, clean, and with a nice view. The shower doesn't have a door, but the glass panel is big enough to keep the floor reasonably dry. The staff is efficient and friendly. There are stores and restaurants around the hotel. Finally, yes, the KETTLE is missing. Everybody misses the kettle, so I don't see why they didn't put it. It's the only reason I gave them only four stars instead of five. So, put a cheap kettle in every room. It would have been great to have hot tea after a long day. In conclusion, I would return to this hotel, and I would recommend it to my friends.

  • 1/5 Rohit B. 2 years ago on Google
Very small room. Basic amenities like Moisturiser, Mini Fridge, Coffee machine etc weren’t available. The showers don’t have a fully closing door and the water will flow everywhere else. Queues for check in abnormally long and took about 30 min in total. Furthermore, my room key wasn’t working for most of the time.

  • 4/5 Javad G. 1 year ago on Google
It is a really nice, clean and quiet Motel. The only reason why you didn't get 5 stars is because of the breakfast. Only one buffet isn't enough if the motel is fully booked. I couldn't really enjoy the breakfast. Other than that, I'd recommend the place.

  • 4/5 Linda . 2 years ago on Google
Clean, nice, i like it. I only missed an electrical kettle as I am used to have a tea before sleep. But I survived and slept well 🙃

Great value for money in a no-frills formula The no-frills concept is executed with perfection at Motel One and at this one (Amsterdam near RAI Conference Center) is no exception. The room is very basic with very few amenities: a TV, a hairdryer and that's basically it. My trip was a short one (2 nights) and I could hang up my clothes, but don't expect a roomy closet where you can store a week worth of clothes. There were three different kind of pillows to choose from (excellent!). Water pressure was good in the shower. A special shout-out for the reception staff: they are extremely friendly. Finally: thanks to the several subway and train stations, everything is literally around the corner: the center, the airport, Amsterdam Noord. I'd consider stating here again (but I do prefer hotels with a little bit more frills!) The beds were a little too soft to my taste. The breakfast buffet, although very reasonably priced, was rather underwhelming. And, fitting with the no-frills thing: lights in your room are either on (blast!) or off, you can only create a light-mood by using the bed lights.

Nice and clean Motel One, not too far away from city centre. Metro 400 meters away, 2 stops and you can start your sightseeing tour. Friendly staff and nice guests. Breakfast a good Motel One Standard. But in my hotel room I can't open the room windows... I mean, there was a air-conditionin in my room and if it's okay for you, everything fits perfect. I had a fith floor room with a giant window over the complete room side and a big view. So yeah... everything cool.

  • 4/5 Jeroen B. 2 years ago on Google
A 4 star 3 star hotel, if you catch my drift. Small but tidy rooms with minimalist interior design. Great view but without sheer curtains so you’re also a bit exposed (unless you draw the blackout curtains). Queen-size bed is two beds put together so not too comfortable if you like to spread out. Lobby is crammed full with furniture as it’s doubling as breakfast venue as well. It’s really something strange, I’ve never seen so much furniture in one space… friendly staff, good WiFi. Very high VfM factor.

Nice hotel in a good area for an affordable price. Just minutes away from a metro station and the RAI rail station. The beds were comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the shower head even had a massage feature!

This hotel is located 15 minutes away from the Amsterdam Central. Hotel is very clean and tidy but the rooms are soo compact and hardly any space left if there are two guests with the bags. Breakfast is not complimentary but you have to pay for it and they serve the amazing breakfast at the buffet but usually crowded on weekends. The Staffs were helpful at the front office.

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. They compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't regret it. Nice hotel in a good area for an affordable price. Just minutes away from a metro station and the RAI rail station. The beds were comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the shower head even had a massage feature!

Hotel well located next to RAI exhibition. 5-10 minutes walking. Friendly and supportive people at reception and the bar area. I do not recommend the hotel for stays other than the exhibition. No direct connection to the airport. Transportation by train/metro takes 30-45 minutes depending on frequency of train connections. Main trouble point for me was the lack of basic hygiene measure for breakfast. No chance for hand sanitation was provided. The crowded situation at the buffet is yelling for problems. It makes me conclude on hygiene situation in other public areas and in the rooms. Also the room service was very unreliable and unfriendly. Service happened two days late afternoon hours only, on my departure day the lady wanted to have access to the room at 8.30 in the morning, highly unusual. I generally like Motel One accommodation. For above mentioned reasons I am careful about the Amsterdam RAI hotel.
