If you want some decent local Dutch food, you must check this place out. The food was delicious. I had Stamppot Andijvie and it was amazing. We were also given a free shot by Almond who is a very nice guy. Service great, food great, atmosphere great. I will be returning in November 😃

I really enjoy the Dutch food. We eat same snack like the meet balls and was very delicious.second plate the cream potatoes 🥔 with the Salam together with same souse.for desert we eat the apple cake with e the ice cream and panna together and it was really aprichiate dinner. The coffe was the perfect one for including or the pleasure to eat very good

Forget The Pantry or De Blauwe Hollander, this place is better! Amazing Dutch restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. Family owned and operated. Fish Platter was the best one we tried while in town. Fresh fish and the smoked eel were scrummy. Dutch Steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and juicy. The Wiener Schnitzel was equally delightful, and the sauce was fantastic. Save room for dessert! We are adding this place to our must visit list when we are back in town.

Service was great! Food was great and atmosphere was chill. Walked in, with no reservations and was immediately seated. We ordered a traditional Dutch dish, stamppot andijvie - mashed potatoes with a meatball and bacon, runderburger, barrel spareribs and garnalen. Tasted great with good flavour and wait time wasn’t too long. Desserts were also really good, we got the Dutch apple pie with ice cream and whipped cream and a crème brûlée. Really nice, served warm and was a good way to end a great dinner.

The food was good but a little bland. I really liked the staff and the atmosphere. The manager helped us to find place even though we didn’t have reservation in advance 😀 Go for the mashed potatoes and meatballs. Also, I liked the variety of IJ beers 🍺 Hope to be back one day! Cheers.

We visited the place in early evening which is considered a busy time. The restaurant assists advanced reservation during peak times. However, we were nicely seated at the bar. The food was excellent.

The tortellini and ravioli are bland. Overall foods are so so. Love the overall chill vibe, less busy compare to other restaurants around here. The services are good and staffs very friendly. We didn’t make any reservation, however still managed to get a table for 5 pax, place quite spacious.

We were looking for some traditional dutch food in downtown Amsterdam and found Stoop and Stoop. Most other ones we found in the proximity were fully booked far in advance so we didn't have our hopes up. We were very pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly and helpful with selecting drinks. We decided to try bitterballen, meatball with mashed potatoes, and sauerkraut and sausage dishes. It was simple but very tasty. Gin and tonics we had were great too. I would also definitely recommend a Dutch apple pie! Worth checking out :)

Stoop and Stoop is a combination Dutch local and Tourist cafe. It has a nice inside and outside seating with a full Dutch menu including local brews. Armand was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the local foods and drinks and willing to help us to experience some good Dutch food and drinks. We had the traditional mashed potatoes with vegetables and beef stew and it was great.

Small, cozy bar, good value for money, perfect place to enjoy a meal with a beer. One of the best service I experienced in Amsterdam

Where do I begin, as soon we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a warm hello from a Dutch man and woman. They were both very friendly, accommodating and went out of their way to give us an amazing night. We ordered the steaks and they were honestly to die for. Quality was next level throughout the entire meal. My favourite restaurant in Amsterdam no doubt. Highly recommend ! We will be back soon x ps if your nice they might be able to sort you some excellent strop waffle liqueur.

Excellent food and the best service anywhere in Amsterdam. The owner is wonderful and will go out of his way to make sure you have the best experience possible.

Food was delicious and the service from the couple who I assume own this eatery was fantastic. They were very friendly. We both ate the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and Dutch apple pie. We finished our meal with a delightful Stroopwaffel liqueur. Highly recommend.

The service here was PHENOMENAL! Our bartender went above and beyond to make sure we were attended to. He even cut our fish off the bone for us because we were having trouble. Talk about above and beyond customer service! The food was amazing! Not a drop was left behind! 5 stars across the board!

Can’t recommend it enough, the food was everything we had hoped for and more. Very hearty and homely cooked food with family friendly service - the manager even offered us some liqueur after our meal. I would recommend the onion soup, pork schnitzel and the sausage and sauerkraut mash.

Really appreciate the waiter who served us today. He patiently explained each dish to us, the ingredients, how it was cooked etc when we asked him to recommend some local Dutch food. Despite we have special diet requirements and requested to make some changes to the ingredients, he made effort to accommodate us. Being a foreign tourist, we really appreciate his excellent service and patient! What's more, the food is really nice and price is reasonable too!
