My mother, aunt, and I had reservations at a nearby restaurant for New Years Eve but the restaurant was closed when we arrived. We desperately searched for another restaurant and were rudely turned away. While we were browsing a supermarket looking for food to just eat, I called Bouf and even though they were full they said they could offer us a table in probably 15 minutes. We were so grateful to be accommodated not only in this way but that they allowed me to have their special 3-course meal with a vegetarian option even though it was not listed. The food is incredible (especially the toffee cake they offered as dessert) and atmosphere was really nice (I’d imagine it would be perfect for a date)

An amazing restaurant. We were here twice and we will go there again when in Amsterdam. The best food and the best staff. There was just one waitress and she was amazing. Greeting, smiling, paying attention to the guests, no problem to take an order with some dietary requirements. She was amazing, the best. One of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam.

My friend and I had lunch here and we were both extremely happy. She had the hamburger (which has fried egg! and comes with a salad, fries, and potato salad) and I got the croque Madame, which was just incredible (they even wrote "Madame" in mustard on the plate!). We also got bitterballen, because my friend hadn't yet tried this Dutch appetizer, and they were delicious as always. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!

One of the best steak I had in many years. Plates are prepared and presented with great care. Waitress asked if we were going to the concert so she could take care of us in a timely manner.

Wow. First of all the menu, though simple, it was simply extraordinary. I had a pumpkin soup that is quite possibly the best soup I've ever had in my life. Then there was a gnocchi dish with cream cheese and mushrooms that was just insanely delicious. A goat cheese salad followed (superb, obviously), and finally and exquisite chocolate soufflé and sticky caramel cake dessert. Honestly one of the best dining experiences in all of Europe! Service was friendly. Music was fabulous. Ambience and arrangement of tables was also very good. ALL THE STARS.

I was sitting there today with a head full of stress and worries and things bothering me, and I was treated with the utmost friendliness! At one point I was surrounded by the restaurant owners only and two of their friends, and not for a second did I feel uncomfortable. I was having coffee and sparkly water, and they didn't bother me once to ask if I need to order more, giving me all the space I needed to handle my (stressful) things. To add, the background music was just perfect! I have never been a fan of service in restaurants/bars in Amsterdam, but this just changed my opinion! Will definitely go back (and spend more money than just coffee)!

Adding candied walnuts to their was brilliant and tasty. In addition their service was exceptional and warm. It’s a great place for an espresso and a quick bite, as we were on the go.

Wonderful food and great coffee. Really handy for getting lunch while visiting Museumplein and very reasonably priced.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
