The international chain is also found in many locations in Amsterdam. Their menu is as known, rich and always having new items. The portions are big and always well presented. A variety for all taste buds. Service is good and staff are friendly. But a fan of their seating area, very uncomfortable.

Great option if you are inside the central station. The place was clean and organized and the staff was friendly and proactive. I went for the gyozas and it didn’t disappoint, first duck dumplings as starter and then chicken and noodles as the main dish. To drink, some portions of green tea. Recommend.

We ordered from the halal menu the (1) prawn curry, which comes with a bit of rice, and (2) chicken and prawn pad Thai. I liked the curry dish more than the pad Thai; the flavors and ingredients were warm and explosive. The pad Thai barely had any chicken it, I wish they had more of that in this dish. Overall, the experience was pleasant.

Ordered the bang bang cauliflower and the ebi katsu. The person with me ordered the curry katsu. The food was very good! Absolutely loved it. The service however wasn't that good. They forgot we still had to order and the man that served us didn't seem too happy about it. In the end it was worth the wait and I would still give this place another chance because of the taste. Prices are okay, it's not cheap but it's not expensive either.

Typical basic Asian food place. I ordered some edamames without salt, and a duck Donburi. Everything was nice. The Donburi a bit spicy. The portions are large.

Situated in Amsterdam central station, Wagamama is "alright". Decently tasting Asian food, from what I saw, most of the menu here you can buy from the toko/asian stores such as the gyozas (potstickers). We ordered the chicken katsu, beef brisket donburi and veggy gyoza. The chicken katsu with japanese golden curry sauce and the beef donburi bowl had nice flavoring and were proportioned properly. The veggy gyoza however just taste powdery and stale. When we asked a host about it, they just said it was because it was part of the kids menu? Branch here is still new and has sweet workers.

I was very excited to try Wagamamas Ramen. It was nice, but I definitely expected more. It looked really nice and the adding was delicious but the broth itself didn‘t have much of a rich taste I would have wanted. Also tryed the Chicken and the fried Duck Gyoza. They we‘re good. The Japanese Curry was okay.. nothing you would like to order again, likewise the Bao buns. A big pro is the view and that it wasn‘t complicated to get a table. A con is definitely that they don‘t have a restroom. You have go outside and use the restroom in the central station and pay 70 cents for it.

I was happy to find it in Amstrrdam as well as I know it from England already. AsI am vegetarian I knew I will find a great dish for dinner. THe starters were tasteless to be honest but the mains were very good. I had a very good white italian wine as well... tasty, smoth and a bit sweet aftertaste easy to drink. MY friend was surprised of the Asahi bear taste so fresh and fruity, if you like pils give it a try !!! Service wasn't the best, waitinf for almost 10 min fir our order to be taken and the waiter didn't know to much about the food 🙄 3 waiters serving a table... after all 🤦‍♀️ Because of those grear mains and the nice view I am still offering you 4stars 🤤 With Love, @backpacktraveler.co.uk

Update: the restaurant replied to say they spoke to their staff to improve the service, so I’ve updated my rating 👍 I’ll be back at some point to see what happens. Original review Food is nice but the service is not very helpful. I wasn’t happy with my seat, but they wouldn’t let me move as I was dining alone. I would understand if it was busy but the place was half empty.

I ordered a chicken prawn yakisoba to take away. This was prepared fast and packed well. When I opened the box to eat, I see there is NO Chicken or Prawn. I just paid €14,50 for veg noodles??!! I’m shocked at this daylight robbery. When I call the manager at the outlet, I get told that they will call me back.. very annoyed and disappointed with the bad customer service. Update as on 27/04/21 - About half an hour after writing the review I did receive a call back from manager John. He apologised for the mess and acknowledged that it did ruin my experience. And to make amends they offered a main course + side order on the house. I went to the outlet this afternoon to pick up the promised meal. It turned out to be really good experience as it was prepared fast and everything was as it said in the menu. I appreciate that the manager took responsibility for their mistake by offering not only an apology but also another meal. I feel they did a very good job of improving my experience with them and so to reflect that I’m changing my rating.

Tasty food. Gluten free and vegetarian. Good environment. I will back to this Restaurant.

The staff, the staff, again the staff :-) If the staff is more attentive, the experience will be awesome. Please, improve, the attentiveness, we want to come back! The food is amazing - one of the best taste of Wagamama worldwide, but mamma mia - if you have empty beer and you kindly try to get the attention of the staff, they pretend you are invisible. Walking around your tables pretending they dont see empty glasses - people, I am willing to spend my money here with you! Repetitive visits, we like the taste, little bit overpriced but still - every visit we are there - the food is never served at the same time, when I finish because I do not want to have it cold, my friends are far from being served yet. Small details make big difference. Just hire people that care :-D Interesting enough, I had similar "staff" experience in Duesseldorf and also in Bratislava, so maybe that is a purpose. See you next time hopefully with better service!

We had a dinner here for my late birthday celebration with my best friends from college. The last time we saw each other was 8 years ago. We are from Asia and we are craving for asian food and luckily we found this. Very accessible because it is near to the train station.

We had dinner in this Wagamama and ordered 3 mains They brought us 2 and 1 of us had to wait another 10 mintues to receive his and had dinner when we had already finished ! Pad thai wasn't good, and the ramen wqs tasteless I had dinner in better Wagamamas

Food was decent (The Light Broth lack a bit of flavor) and service could definately been improved. We ordered two tea stained eggs after recieving our Ramens - which we never recieved.

Fast service. Food was okay. Juices tasted fresh and healthy. Ate here on two separate occassions. Had the chicken noodles and beef bowl.

Food is ok, but service of some members of the staff is bad. Drinks are just dropped at table and we need to check ourselves which drink is for whom. Waitress is more interested in looking around than serving tables. The male waiter was nice. Good for quick bite.

We came here because there's a 25% discount from the I Amsterdam city card for this restaurant. However, the food was not as good as expected. The teppanyaki noodle had a bitter after-taste, which came from the ginger. The curry lomen was okay, just a bit too sour for my liking.

Glad to see this Asian shop as we were craving for some soupy dishes due to the cold weather. The ramen is reasonably good and the soup is delicious. They serve fresh mint and ginger tea too. These beverages are a must try in Amsterdam.

Great food and friendly staff. The only negative was that the food for the table wasn't served at the same time and I had to wait a few minutes. That said, the Niko Curry was delicious and the location inside Amsterdam Central station is perfect with a great view of the lake.

I love wagamama! I ate there first time in the states, and this time here wasn't letting me down. Great staff, good food! This time I enjoyed fully vegan dishes, it was amazing. I devoured every bite.

Awesome Japanese cuisine you will get here. Unbelievably delicious food, awesome location and ambiance. Definitely try chicken Nikko curry! It was newly added in the menu! Super friendly staff! Must go place for Japanese cuisine fans! :-)

My friends and I decided to meet up and have dinner at this establishment. I ordered their non-spicy chicken katsu curry but received an extremely spicy chicken katsu curry instead. The waited said the dish was not supposed to be spicy and asked the manager to come over. The manager came and tasted the food and told me I was exaggerating and overreacting, completely disregarding the fact that not everyone has the same level of tolerance when it comes to spice. My friends tasted the food and tried to convey that it was indeed spicy, only to be disregarded by the manager as well. It is totally not worth it. The service is awful and the manager is unwilling to listen to his customers. Save your money for a better establishment where you will receive quality food and service. In my mind I’ve usually pegged Wagamama as a bit of a fast food place, but I think actually that’s unfair. This was competently made Asian food, served quickly, tasty, filling... I would not have been disappointed to eat this in any other Asian restaurant - even quite happy, actually. So should I rate them lower because they’re a chain? I don’t think so. Wagamama is a solid offering, and serves reliably good Asian food. Extra bonus thumbs up for the vegan menu with many good looking options.
