Nice bar! Super chill people, really odd that it isn't busier to be honest. Maybe just because it is in front of a busy street but you don't hear anything of it inside. I strongly endorse this one!

"Vice Versa" is a small bar located about a fifteen minutes walk from the Museumplein. Inside the place is maintained in a low standard colorful mash up which gives You indeed a cozy experience. This vibe is intensified by atmospheric music (an interesting solution to hang a tablet with Spotify access on the wall gives the impression that customers might have an influence on the choice of music). Among the stuff You can meet an owner with his dog friendly sniffing around ;) So if You don't mind paying 5 euro for a small beer this is definitely a place to check out. I recommend doing it, for example, on Wednesday, when you can watch regular stand-up comedy (events are published on Eventbrite or Couchsurfing).

My husband and I stumbled upon this bar looking for a place to charge our phones, little did we know we would end up 7+ hours hanging out with Chooky and Ellie and the local regulars, we made great friends and had amazing drinks- let Chooky get creative with his drinks, he makes some great experiments!

A hidden gem in de Pijp. Vice versa is your relaxed neighborhood bar: cozy, solid selection of craft beers, a small but well curated list of wines and great cocktails made by the owner :) they also have activities from time to time, like their weekly comedy nights. The bar attracts a mixed crowd: old time neighbors, funky people and the occasional tourist, but everyone is treated like a regular.

Very cozy bar with a relaxed, laid back athmosphere. The bartender is super nice and the owner's dog is such a cutie! we loved the mystique of a mystery beer! They have a nice selection of craft beers and you can also get any kind of drink mixed by the bartender. Thanks a lot for having us! 100% recommended.

What a cool, vibey place. Friendly staff and the drinks were good. It was nearing the end of the night and they could have kicked us out but they welcomed us and never rushed anyone to finish their drinks. Seems like a great place to frequent if you live in the neighborhood

Choocky and his team are amazing hosts. His glühwein is off the rails and his chili is to die for! His selection of cocktails is great, and he's got some nice beers on tap and in his fridges.

I have been to vice versa regularly but last time I went, they tried to rip us off and charged 140€ for 7 beers (6 from the tap, and one 6,50€ canned beer), 5 glasses of mulled wine (advertised at 5€ each), and a couple of snacks which amounted to around 12€. This sounded awfully expensive so I checked the bill, which was not fully itemized (only snacks, 3 pints at 7,20€ each, and the canned beer) and the rest of the bill said twice « aangepast bedrag » (adjusted amount) for 80€ and 20€, respectively. So they were charging us 100 euros for the remaining 4 pints. When I enquired about these, neither the waitress nor the manager of the place could explain to me what these items corresponded to and simply told us that a beer cost 10€. The friends that were with us and paid their drinks on a separate bill were charged around 7€/beer for the same beer. After discussing the bill with the staff for 30 min they reimbursed 30€ (which is still insufficient) but were still unable to explain to us how they had reached that amount. I am truly appalled by this experience, don’t open a tab at this place and check your bills As a response to the reply below : Thank you for your reply. I am happy to pay 10€ for premium beers but I just want to pay for what I had and receive a properly itemized bill. We accepted your insufficient refund because it was better than no refund at all, we had already been discussing for half an hour and wanted to go home 1x canned beer 6,50€ + 3x non-premium pints 7,20€ each + snacks 5,45€ and 6,00€ + 3x premium beers 10€ + 5x mulled wine 5€ each = 94,55 We initially paid 139,55, you reimbursed 31,60€ so we ended up paying 107,95€. That is still 13,40€ more than what we should have paid. I will stop by next week to settle this, thanks.
