Really overrated place. On the day that we visited the restaurant, when asking if the gentleman serving us was Greek we received the response that 'the only Greek people in this restaurant are your group'. We should have foreseen then the disappointment that was to come, as everything felt wildly overpriced (18.5 euros for a portion of gyros without even a full pita? Really?) and the quality of the food, at least for a Greek person, was underwhelming. If I want to eat frozen gyros from Bakaliko (Greek grocery store in Amsterdam center) I can go buy it on my own and cook it from frozen for the same result. The only thing that stood out were the fries that were fresh. Also, everything took a really long time to be served (but we wouldn't mind that if we liked the food). What a pity, our search for a decent Greek place in Amsterdam has not yielded any positive results until now!

Dec 5,2019 Went back for another visit and amazing food!! And nice service! /β€”β€”β€”β€” Oct 31,2029 Great service and good food! Mike was awesome welcoming us, Randy was a lot of fun in the cocktail making class, and Stef was a really good chef! Worth checking out as they have new owners!

I spontaneously visited this bar with a friend. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly. There are also games available to play.

This is the best dining experience I’ve had in the longest time. This is one elegant and atmospheric restaurant and we were looked after so well by Richard. The food was excellent. Our table shared the mousakka - my favourite dish that night, halloumi chips, baked feta, spanakopita, fried squid, and warm breads with tzatziki and pesto and the mixed grill. Food was so well cooked and well presented. Really nice flavours and textures. We even met the chef Wendy. She is so talented. We had such an enjoyable evening.

Today we celebrated my brother"s birthday in Dimitri's. It is my third time there and I am very happy with the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. We decided to try almost all the mezzes from the menu as they have changed the menu, bread and frites. The dorade fish: exquisite. It is the first time I tried that fish raw, the combination with the fresh raw veggies produces an interesting taste in your mouth. It is a little spicy. The crab in avocado gives you a fresh flavour. The pumpkin with goat cheese will dissolve in your mouth leaving a trace of exotic taste. The meat, very soft and tasty, decorated with small pieces of caramelised onions. The ibΓ©rico was my favorite, it has a delicate taste. The crunchy chicken is delicious. In other words if you love to eat well and your are not afraid or trying new things then it is worth to try Dimitri's food.

Beautiful interior, great food, nice staff, but it's too quiet. We were here on a Wednesday evening (with a group of 8), and there was only one other table of 2 persons who had come in while we were eating. Maybe it was this specific evening, but I probably won't go back because of how quiet it was. On a positive note the good was great though! If you end up eating here I can really recommend the following: - the tomahawk steak (we shared it) - the lamb skewers, the leek (prei) (I especially recommend this one) - the cauliflower (although I though it could've been a bit spicier) - the Iberico fingers - the codfish

I was really sad when 'A Bar Named Sue' closed its doors. However, now Dmitri's has taken over and with quite some success I have to say. The place has been completely transformed, with a new look and the styling is spot on. My friend and I enjoyed a couple of GT's which were perfectly balanced and we enjoyed salads, aubergine and fries with mayo, all great to taste. The desserts are amazing (check pictures)!. Fun fact: while waiting for you dinner, you can enjoy (board)games, they have a lot! Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Great to go during any day of the week (or weekend!).

Food and service were nice even though we waited long (while the restaurant was empty) and it didn't seem all very fresh. But what a joke we had to pay two 75cL jar of tap water 7€ without even saying before?? It was already enough expensive. We were really shocked and not going back again.

Visited the restaurant via The Fork using the The Fork festival promotion. Nice place and nice food. Bit expensive for the presented portion.

Such a nice surprise. Food is great for both snacks, bites, and mains. Also, got the chance to have a cocktail workshop that was really fun. If you are around the neighbourhood, consider stop by!

Really good place to have dinner, the ingredients and the chef make the difference. We also had a nice chat with the owners of the restaurant. We'll show up again.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
