I am going to Equal yoga for around 1 year now. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: + You can call this place "Uber for Yoga". No complications, you just arrange a class using their app, take your class, take a shower and come back home. They have classes per hour between 7:00 am and 8:30 so easy to find a time slot that fits you. + They have their own sequences targeting different body parts and breathing style. Whether you want to work on your flow/flexibility or core, there is a big spectrum of yoga classes available. + As of now they have some brilliant instructors. My experience especially with Marte (she is very innovate of her Barre course), Maddy (he is a body engineer, his movements are very intuitive, he never repeats the same course, always adds his playful flavor to it) and Djlani (a relaxing spirit and approach to Yoga) have been awesome. Cons: - The classes are so crowded, over 40 students. This is a popular studio. This reduces the chance for the instructor to provide personalized suggestions to students. There is also a high circulation of students, generally 20% of all class is new. - It can be too noisy. Especially newcomers can be too chatty inside the studio. I really don't understand the motivation behind coming to a studio and chatting inside, while others try to focus, calm down and get ready for the upcoming course. In extreme cases they keep their chat during the class too! - There can be a circulation of teachers. Sometimes you get used to an instructor and all of a sudden he/she may dissapear.

I am in my trial week, having only gone to a few classes. Pros: -GREAT newcomer deal -Very clean and well-kept studio/changing area/shower facilities -Teachers are knowledgable -Professional atmosphere -Nice silence in studio before and after class-- atmosphere that allows people to be there for themselves and their practice instead of forced to socialize. Cons: -There is a feeling of being over-popular (dare I say snobby?); meaning, it seems that the staff could care less if someone new joins or not. It is almost a mechanical atmosphere, not really personable in terms of welcoming and friendliness. This is good in that it creates the atmosphere I said above in the 'Pros,' but it is a bit extreme. -The same goes with customer service and the over-popular vibe. I bought an item and then wanted to return it a few days later-- it was unused and still in its packaging. I was told they don't do returns, sorry--and then there was an awkward pause. As a new customer, I would hope they would try to be a little accommodating-- maybe offering something else to compensate. I was told maybe I could give the item away. My face must have shown my upset at this remark, because then they said maybe I could sell it myself. Which also felt inappropriate. If all sales are final at a business, they should probably communicate this at the time of purchase, or have a sign up. Based on all of these things, I am still deciding if this is the studio for me. I am excited about the atmosphere in the studio during the lesson... so I hope my next trial lesson is also positive and I get pulled in. :-)

Today was my first time in this studio. Yes it is clean, with a nice and neat design. And the teacher with whom I practiced today was friendly... But the welcoming at the reception was very poor, there is no time to rest or meditate after the class. And unlike all the other hot yoga studios I have practiced in the Netherlands (and abroad), there is no space for having a chat or drinking a tea before/after your practice. I am still on my trial week but so far I am not convinced by Equal Yoga’ studios. (I have tried the Rozengracht studio also same comment applies to this location ) But nevertheless I think it is a great place to go if you are looking for a good “sweaty” workout.

The place is prim and proper and super hygienic with all the accessibilities. Anugrah, the instructor is really good, seemed experienced and knew what she was talking about. Paid personal attention to students. Would love to visit again.

This is about as close to perfect as a yoga studio can get. Incredibly professional teachers who truly respect the students and their bodies, and offer you the ability to both challenge yourself and simultaneously treat yourself with kindness and patience. Even a full class is a peaceful, energizing experience. Beautiful facilities too and a great location. I never regret a workout here.

Way to expensive for what they offer. Its overall a very crowded place and you simply dont know what course is more for women and which one also work out for mens. You also dont know which ones are for beginners and for experts so you sometimes find your self in a course far above your level without much explanation what increase the possibility of injuries. Cant recommend it!

I love hot yoga at Equal!! 🫶🏻 Each lesson I learn something new, fysically or mindfully. Each teacher has its own yoga power and I really really appreciate that the teachers I go to on a regular base help me reach my personal yoga goals.

my favorite hot yoga studio in Amsterdam! So many different teachers to choose from! My favorite teachers are Alisia, Selma, Petri Anne, and Lovisa! Not to mention, the amenities are also nice (showers, dressing rooms, etc). Definitely worth the monthly unlimited membership.

Very nice yoga studio! I have been coming there almost every day and it never disappoints :) the teachers have very creative flows (here’s looking at you Bonnie!) and they propose variations for all types of practices. I also had great alignment tips from teachers like Petri Anne, so recommend any class they teach.

Equal yoga is the place to be if you want to sweat all your stress away. Yin yoga has also helped me wind-down at the end of the day and relax my body and mind.

i liked the routine but hated the fact that there was music. How can yoga be comboned with house music? Yes it can be combined but it is not the right introduction to yoga, especially when a big part of it is being in touch with the body and soul and not being distracted by commercial music.

I take core flow with Lucia. She's great, very flexible if you need extra advice and the flow of the class is fun, easy to follow and adjust to your level.

Their first week offer is so worth it. Their heating system is truly original. I've never seen anything like it before. The heated panels hit everyone equally. Imagine that. Sander is a great instructor. But bro, you sound like Malcolm Gladwell. Cheers. 🙏

😠 I can't even begin to describe how much I am disappointed with the TrainMore takeover of SportsWorld. When I've signed up for the gym, I was promised quality/ exclusive services and facilities.
