Amazing food for a reasonable price- I got the owners recommendation on food and drinks which were just incredible. Also had some vegan cake to go which I also really enjoyed. The owner is a really kind and warm person who explained everything patiently, would totally recommend!

Super nice place with Ethiopian food. I loved the wide variety on the menu. We ordered the shared vegetarian menu with 12 different vegetables/legumes and injera. Everything was super tasty, even the drinks. We had ginger beer (which was very strong 🔥) en Ethiopian ginger tea. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, also for take out.

Large menu with great Ethiopian food! I had a variation of different add-ons which tasted delicious. Also a great variety of teas. The highlight were the cakes which tasted amazing. The Avocado-Lime and Chocolate-Dates cakes were great together with Ethiopian coffee. The prices are really fair for the amount and quality of food - especially for Amsterdam. The service was kind and welcoming as well - can definitely recommend and will come back!

Everyone should give this place a try. The food here has unbeatable flavour with a lot of vegetarian options. The chicken was so well spiced and together with plenty of sides included in the meal and injera it was a great experience. The staff are incredibly nice too which made it a lovely meal. Would highly recommend ☺️

This place deserves more customers! There were many options to choose from, including vegan and gluten-free, ranging from mild to spicy. They have homemade drinks (I got the ginger lemonade, really tasty). The food and the drinks were delicious and served in satisfying quantity to be full. + Good prices! The plates are beautiful, the music was adding a nice touch to the atmosphere. The waiter and waitress were really calm and kind while attentive to us. Long story short: It's really tasty, cheap and in a nice atmosphere. What else can one ask for? :)

One of my favorite place to get Ethiopian food. Everything I chose was good. Meat (chicken, lamb, beef stew) is tender and rich in flavor. The vegetables are also perfectly cooked. Yummy :) Price is also reasonable. 1 portion for 3 types of meat and 4 types of veggies including 3 injeras is 16 euro, and can be for two/three portions. Definitely recommending this to people!

Ordered the veg dinner for 2 for takeaway and it was perfect. So much food, so much flavor. Me and my partner both loved it. (Great music while we waited too!)

This place is really, really special. Absolutely not to be missed if you're vegan, but there are just as many meat options too. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service and decor are warm and lovely. We got the veg platter for 2 and the quality and variety of dishes was phenomenal. The juices were fresh and hot with ginger. I spent the whole meal thinking about when I'd be able to come back.

A rare hospitality find in Amsterdam! Don’t waste time looking for a great local restaurant, KILIMANJARO ticks all the boxes. Most of all, the kindness and real warmth of the staff is what makes you feel you have just walked into someone’s home away from yours, and you’ll be treated like a special guest throughout. Lived in Amsterdam all my life, this definitely is a hidden gem of the city. Food is AMAZING, lunch dinner or dessert. And the host (and cook, he can do anything at the same time it seems) is so warm welcoming. You won't regret coming here, if anything you will leave the place already making a reservation for a next time...

Last summer I have been visiting this place, and been enjoying it a lot! Your raw vegan chocolate cake was, without overstatement, the best cake that I have ever tasted! It is still unbelievable to me that it was actually raw quality. I would be very happy if you could send me that recipe, on Friday I'm becoming 30 and I would love to try remake that cake, as I'm not living in Amsterdam unfortunately 😏 Thanks a lot for everything! 🙏🏼

An Ethiopian gem of Amsterdam! The owner is the cook, and he is just as friendly as his food is delicious (and it is DELICIOUS). He makes everything himself: the vegan food on the menu, the vegan sugarless desserts (ever heard of an avocado pie?!?) and the drinks. It's a cute place, would definitely recommend it. I'm coming back asap xD

Finally able to visit Kili and sit down after covid closures. Food is amazing, and there are tons of vegetarian/vegan options one more delicious than the last, meat dishes are also great. The service is always relaxed and amicable just topping the experience. It's an Amsterdam gem!

The staff is very nice and welcoming. Both the vegan and the meat options were good and the typical spices were really well balanced. Wrapped the dinner up with great vegan cake along with refreshing homemade juice. Highly recommended

I fell in love with this restaurant in the first time I went there. Now it's my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam for sure. Delicious food and friendly staff, apart from a nice decoration. The combo of everything makes everything super gezellig hahaha. Love it!

We ordered takeout and I wasn’t sure how it would be because of the way Ethiopian food is served but the injera came on the side and it turned out great. They also have all-teff injera which is gluten-free. We got the spicy combination platter for two which came with a variety of meat and vegetable dishes, and it had just the right amount of spice. Highly recommend the spicy lamb and the kale!

Dined here with my family today and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and our chef-waiter talked us through the dishes and gave us some great recommendations. The avocado and lime cake was to die for. Would definitely recommend, especially if looking for Vegan options!

Super flavorful food, friendly service, and a cozy interior! The injera is so fluffy, veggies are delicious and the chicken falls apart from the bones. Also recommend the hibiscus baobab drink for its unique and refreshing flavor!
