Don’t order their special stuffed bread. It tastes so bland and so waste of money. Very overpriced tho. Their kebabs were undercooked. Genuinely undercooked. Hard to chew. Their tikka(shish tawook) were well cooked and their salad was the only thing that was worth eating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. 40€ per person yet no taste.

What. A. Meal. Absolutely loved the food here, the mixed lamb in the mixed grill for 1 was so delicious and tender. The houmous and baba ganoush were so flavoursome and tasty. Honestly couldn't recommend this place more. My colleague and I ordered lots of dishes to share and it was just all so great! Friendly staff too. 5 stars!

Very nice fresh fries and hot. Takes a little longer yes, but then you also have something. Got a nice call about my order, it turned out I had entered incorrectly! Thank you very much and keep it up

The food is amazing . We were group and we take everything to share mezze & main dish. We were so full, that we could not eat dessert. You can try Syrian wine & beer. Stuff is really pleasant , funny, friendly and great host ! I will come back to such a place where you feel like at home. Thank you ! See you soon !

Stopped by this place without doing research. For sure a hidden gem in Amsterdam! It was our first taste of Syrian food, and the server was very friendly and open to helping us! The flavours were amazing. The hummus was one of the best we’ve had. If you’re hungry for middle eastern food, stop here!

Nice Syrian food location in Amsterdam with friendly service. We’ve had a nice evening with some starters, good Syrian rose wine and the kids loved their grilled chicken breast filet. We will definitely come back! Check out the photos we took or better, check out the food yourselves! No more word needed. :-)

If you're a lamb meat lover like me than this is the perfect spot! The Shekaf dish was delicious, can't remember eating such juicy and tasty lamb. The portion is also of an excellent size. Starter was again great and don't skip the baklava as dessert. Next time in Amsterdam they will see me again in this place.

Wonderful little restaurant serving delicious Syrian and Middle Eastern food. The place is down to earth with a rustic touch, and the Lebanese lager and Syrian wines add a lovely finishing touch for an all-round enjoyed dining experience. Places like this are hard to come by, totally recommended.

Very tasty traditional food! Big portions, fresh ingredients. Delicious! However the host didn't want to seat us at a place for 4 as there were 2 of us and we had to stay at uncomfortable bar stools, however there were about 3 empty (he said they were reserved, but they obviously weren't, as noone came)

Some of the best food in Amsterdam paired with amazingly attentive and welcoming service. Portion sizes are decent and highly recommended to share amongst a small group.

Summary: Good experience ruined by a huge hassle at the payment stage. The Place: is very comfortable, I liked the fact that there was a calming arabic music playing in the background. The Food: is tasty and well prepared, was ready and served within a short time, portions are generous, and prices are affordable for a place in the centre. The Staff: Two Staff members. One was a super friendly guy, he seemed very happy to make suggestions and to have a little bit of small talk. The other guy was very direct in his interaction, and sometimes even feels a little bit rude. The Experience: everything was going very well until the moment of payment. The owners refused to split the bill on multiple cards and required us to make one single payment for the whole table. since we were in a large group travelling for business and needed a receipt for reimbursement. In the end we had to split the bill between Cash, Bank Transfer, and a Card payment.

as much as I hate to write a bad review about a middle eastern business, I find myself obligated to do so here, hoping this review would be seen as a constructive one. I walked in to an almost full restaurant, which is always a good sign. I was handed out a menu; then the chef took my order, which was the Arabic mezza, and he suggested to leave it to him to choose which six small appetizers I’d get. i appreciate the efforts. The hummus and baba ganouj were ok, nothing special, the cheese cigars were good, while the meat and spinach pies were very under cooked and very chewy. (pics) Am all for supporting business of Syrians, and for people who don’t know Arabic food well some of the appetizers would look and taste authentic and good, but this place only deserves 2 stars for me.

Food was okay but nothing special. We came for iftar during Ramadan and we asked if we could be served after 30 minutes. They came 10 minutes earlier with the dishes so we had to wait before being able to eat. They only accept Maestro and cash, no visa.

It was our first time eating Syrian food and after our great experience here it certainly won't be the last! The food was very delicious and the portions were plenty. Furthermore, the service was excellent and we felt very welcome. If I ever get back to Amsterdam, this would be the first place I would hit up for dinner!

Cool stuff. Not easy to have a decent bite in Amsterdam. This place is one of the best possible options if you don't want to shell out a fortune. The owner is super-friendly, the food sublime. Highly recommended.

Really good experience overall. We had some mixed starters to share, and then two meat-based mains and a vegetarian main. The portions are generous, the service is courteous and quick. The kitchen is visible to the clients, but it is not disturbing at all in terms of smell. All in all, recommended.

Always wanted to try Syrian food, saw this place on my walk to INK hotel. Came here the week after on a Thursday at 6 pm. Made a reservation but did not need one. We ordered the Shekar which is grilled skewers of lamb and herbs. Also ordered the Traditional Syrian Shoarma. This was super good, the dressing inside made it perfect. It was pretty much a wrap with the meat inside and some sauce. Both dishes were really good as well, lots of flavor. Only downside is it took quite a long time for the food to arrive (about 45 minutes) and the other table already had food so not quite sure why there was a delay.

What amazing food! I started my meal with the muhammara, which was absolutely delicious. My main meal, shawarma, was the best I’ve had in my entire life. The meat was tender and the pita was glazed with a delicious sweet sauce. Definitely go to Palmyra! You won’t regret it!

I love this restaurant so so so much. I am a flight attendant and on every layover I get in AMS I walk no exaggeration five miles out of my way just to come here. The food never disappoints. The tahina is so good I cannot find anything in the states that even closely compares. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

The food was fantastic, really tasty and huge portions. I definitely recommend the little appetizer dishes. I had the lamb chops as the main dish and they were incredibly juicy, tender and full of rich taste! The service is also really nice, the waiter is so nice and efficient. Good job!

The food here is indescribable. It's delicious! We got the mixed grill and everything was amazing, the meat was tender, flavourful and makes you want to dance. The service here is what really made this place! So kind and friendly. Highly recommend

The found was just mouth-watering. Everything was fresh, cooked by authentic chefs, the menu is diverse, vegetarian-friendly as well! One minus is that some dishes are a bit oily, so for those particular about their diet is better to check with the chef and ask more questions. The portions are quite big so I definitely recommend going there with an empty stomach, so you can enjoy the variety of dishes they have to offer. A must try is definitely all the deserts they have. A great experience if you want to get introduced to Syrian food. For drinking I do recommend their Syrian wine, which has a lovely flavor not too sweet but also not dry, that goes very good with their dishes. Their tea is also flavorful and strong, recommended to have next to the desserts! The staff is very friendly and the background music is also lovely!

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
