Decent portion sizes and reasonable prices with the added bonus of quick, friendly service. The food at Destra del Ponte in Amsterdam was OK, can’t say it was remarkable or filled with the stand-out, rich umami flavours one would normally associate with Italian cuisine from our previous experiences. Overall, the food here at Destra Del Ponte will fill you up but in my view, missing the wow factor I had with other Italian restaurants.

If at all possible, try avoid this restaurant. The service and quality of food leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, it took over 20 minutes for order to be taken. Once the food arrived, two orders were incomplete (ordered chips but they did not come) and one dish did not arrive at all. After numerous inquiries and 20 minutes after all others had finished their meal, the last dish arrived and the chips did not come at all. The staff member did not appear concerned and seemed frankly incompetent. The quality of the food did not make up for the poor service. The senior staff member showed a blatant lack of care once I raised my concerns. Very poor dining experience.

Great service and generous portions. Comfortable and intimate Italian dining. Pricing was also reasonable for being in a very touristy area. Very polite and friendly waiter. The Carbonara was VERY good! Pizza was a bit undercooked, but was still decent. If you're looking for pasta in this area, this is the place for sure.

Went here on a recent trip to Amsterdam. Our waitress (I was under the influence so forgot to ask her name) literally could not have done enough for us. There was 7 of us and she catered to everyone needs and wants. She even helped us with directions on how to get back to Zaandam after the trains weren't running. To top the night off after our amazing food we had a performance from a lady that literally walked in with her little guitar and funny hat and literally blew us away with her singing. Even the waitress said it had brightened up her Sunday night. Obviously this doesn't happen every night but it definitely made our night even better after the amazing food and service we had just received. If your in dam and fancy some really tasty food and amazing service get yourself here!!

Such a lovely spot! Happened upon here one evening and have been back several times. The ravioli was extremely yummy, and they serve excellent drinks. The servers are super cool and thanks to banter and hanging out with the waiter and chef I got a bunch of drinks on the house including 2 Sgroppino, which is super good, 10000% recommend. The interior is very charming as well. I’m vegetarian and they have many options if you are too!

One of the best steaks I had in a very long time. The steak was perfectly cooked as requested and the mushroom sauce was just flawless. Thank you for a nice dinning experience after a long day in Amsterdam.

Nice friendly little back street cafe. I went in the afternoon so they were still serving toasties and lunch menu.

Very nice, little italian restaurant with an excellent service and tasty food.

We wanted a nice comfortable, warm friendly italian and found it here. Just finished a Bolognaise with a Focaccia and enjoying a beer to finish. The sauce was rich with a sweet touch from the fresh cherry tomatoes, perfect with the fresh bread, baked to perfection, and the portion size? .... dont expect to move for 20 minutes. It was everything I was expecting if not more from the first moment I saw the wooden floors and the cosy warm dim lighting. My compliments to everyone involved in making this a great place to enjoy a evening out. A must if you are fancying a family Italian night out at good price.

Chosen at random while walking in old town, looked like casual Italian dining at reasonable prices. Right on all points. Decent Italian food from fairly good menu. Limited wine selection. Good service. Very very reasonable prices for pretty good food. Would return for another casual meal.

We had dinner here this evening and the guy working was working the front of the house alone and he was amazing. I couldn’t believe he was able to have a full house and everything ran smooth. We asked him if he was the owner and he said no. We could t believe a worker worked this hard. It was a amazing experience here. We are from Canada and loved how hard of a worker he was. If we could give him 7 stars we would .

Being from Canada and walking through side streets of any country can be questionable if you don’t know where you are and who to trust. We came into this perfectly quaint restaurant only to experience wonderful service. Our server ran from one end to the other but would slow down once approaching the table. He was impeccable and the food was amazing. Come in… you’ll enjoy it.

Was walking the streets in Centrum and had a look at the menu. It looked pretty empty as it was late (9:45pm) I asked the waitress who was on break at the time if they would still serve us food and she smiled and said of course. When we took our seats the beautiful waitress made us feel more comfortable as she threw jokes our way which was a good gesture. I was looking at pizza but then I changed my mind and went for the spaghetti bolognaise which was homemade and wow I wasn’t disappointed. Overall I had a lovely night and everything was great. I didn’t get the waitresses names but they were stars. I will definitely be coming back soon Tej London, UK

I eat here a lot of times, the food is like at home plus the staff makes you feel so welcome. They even remembered my name. Merve and Marjolijn are such a great team. I would recommend 10/10.
