👍👍 We had an amazing time and equally amazing food! We had someone with us who has to eat gluten free (due to coeliac disease) and they were exceptionally patient and helpful, figuring out what our best options were and making sure all her food was prepared and served separately. The food was delicious... People often mention dishes, great, good, amazing, menu, restaurant, experience, flavors, service, nice,

I usually don't write revieuws, but I got really impressed today. Lets start with the incredible food, it was amazing! I lived in different asian countries, and I really could get the feeling like I was there again. The flavors and the combinations were fantastic. The staff was also super amazing and really caring, I want to thank Ravi and Kayleigh for the incredible service and the explanations. And of course last but not least the young man Baran! He was such a sweet and honest person and welcomed me with open arms 😉. King regards, Veronica Owens

We had an amazing time and equally amazing food! We had someone with us who has to eat gluten free (due to coeliac disease) and they were exceptionally patient and helpful, figuring out what our best options were and making sure all her food was prepared and served separately. The food was delicious, all the dishes were detailed and flavorful. We spent around 45-50 euros per person, including drinks (though we did mainly drink water) and including tips. Especially for the quality of the food the price is extremely affordable and I would highly recommend visiting this place.

The food was great! The food was very original, but most importantly it tasted amazing. Service was great too, the waiter that took care of us, was very nice.

In my opinion, the best fusion restaurant in Amsterdam. Try their culinary fusion of French, Chinese and Far East Asian cuisines. Every dish has a flavour that will take you through a journey of tasteful adventures. Book a table for the evening and enjoy the delicious courses of dinner. You can share each dish so you can try the whole range of flavour just like the chef says: sharing is caring.

Umami by Han was a big letdown, we expected a lot from it due to the way they present themselves. However the flavors were lacking big time for the price that you pay for it. When we entered the restaurant, the atmosphere was nice. The restaurant had a trendy look to it and we asked for a more quiet table, which they provided. But then when we had to order, we had to write the dishes down on a paper ourselves, which felt a little like an all you can eat… very out of place. We had very high expectations of the food due to the pictures and stuff we read online about the Michelin menu. The food however, was a big letdown. The plates were presented very nicely but the flavor was lacking. We were really excited to try the lemongrass chicken and the ginger chicken. Unfortunately they did not live up to their name at all; the flavors were bland and the ginger and the lemongrass flavors were nonexistent. Also the lemongrass chicken had a lot of sriracha or sambal on it, which was very overpowering in taste. It was cooked or steamed and still had the skin on it, which was very chewy and not nice at all. We also had a bunch of other dishes (see pictures) but all of them were really bland and unbalanced as well.

Absolutely incredible Asian-fusion establishment in Amsterdam. We tried 5 dishes; each one was excellent. Giving service 4 stars, because our waitress was not the most attentive, and one member of our party’s entree was “lost” for about 10 minutes, and eventually was delivered, but the waitress seemed confused as to if she had rung it in or not. There seemed to be a lack of communication amongst staff. It was also quite hot inside. Pros: convenient location and easy access, lovely aesthetic, outdoor seating, DELICIOUS food, great flavors, authentic and creative dishes.

This was world-class dining at its best. Everything was stunning, including the decor. The menu was well thought out, and the flavors were balanced. The servers knew what was on the menu. They were attentive and timely on everything. Hurry and eat here before the prices begin to match the quality. I would have gladly paid more, and I have, at an Asian fusion restaurant in Hoofddorp with food that is not even close to this level. This made my last night in Europe incredible. The only negative was the stairs to the restroom, yikes.. this was trippy even for Amsterdam. Otherwise, many complements to the chefs.

We were on holiday for a week and came here twice. Everything was amazing! I have a lot of intolerances (Dairy, eggs and gluten) they were really helpful giving me the necessary information about the food. The staff were all really friendly and the food was beautifully presented as well as delicious. Could not recommend more!

A very fun dining experience, with many dishes to share. We chose the three course menu as a group of two, which gave us four dishes per course. Portions were generous and we skipped dessert as we were so full. The umami duck, cauliflower, gyoza, and Sichuan sea bass were the best plates. If I returned, I would skip the mango prawns and cucumber salmon, which were not as interesting or complex in presentation or taste. The restaurant was full and it seemed like the staff were very busy. After being sat at a table, we waited a very long time for a server to arrive or to return to take our order, and for our drinks to arrive, as well. The servers are knowledgeable and kind, and clearly work hard - I just wish there more of them!

This is such an amazing concept. We got their pre-chosen menus, and they were so well thought-out. Each dish was an experience in itself, and there weren't any boring or out-of-place dishes at all. The wine menu was great as well, with the opportunity to get specially selected wines for each course. It was a really amazing dinner that really made us try some new things, and this restaurant feels like a must-try if you visit the city.

A lot of flavors in the food that mixes well together and is really delicious. The portions look small but they are more than enough that we could not try their dessert.

It was a great diner. Better than I though on food. Service was not really friendly, quite junior, but no big deal. All small courses of the menu creates a lot of variety of flavours. I would have liked a bit more spicy but this is personal. Overall the quantity and quality is there and price is correct. Good place to try when with friends so you can try everything. Well done.

The dishes seem nice but are a bit too ready-made. The wakame and vegetarian dishes are super nice, but the meat dishes are cold and not freshly cut.

The customer service is friendly. The place is not too crowded. The food is simply amazing. As an Asian, there are a lot of tastes in the dishes being recognizable, but the restaurant is giving new combinations that I have never thought before and made everything very interesting. I got a lot of pleasant surprises when I was eating there.

Overall it was a bad experience. I’m mad at Michellin for recommending this. There were 6 good dishes out of 17 we tried. The dishes were often under or over seasoned, not cohesive, and generally poorly executed. 1st course - 2/4 good dishes - Duck was dry and not flavorful - Tempeh was good - Salmon was excellent - Seaweed salad was uninteresting 2nd - 3/4 good dishes - Scallops were cooked well, but the panko got soggy and the gravy was way too overpowering and aggressive - Bacon was really yummy - Lemon fish was good - Fried mushrooms and artichoke was really good. It was our favorite dish overall In between - 1/4 good dishes - Vegan noodles was alright but basic - Iberico pork was good - The squid with the chinese cumin lamb seasoning and basil was really weird. That seasoning is meant for gamey lamb flavors, not a delicate squid - The fried crab was fine, but kinda doughy, and the raw bean sprouts didn’t pair well Third - 0/4 good dishes - Black cod skin was soggy, cucumber sauce was weird and made it taste more fishy. By itself fish lacked seasoning - The beef was good but the sauce was way too salty. Had to scrape the sauce and eat with rice - The curry prawns was horrible. The prawns were like small shrimp and tasted cheap, and there was barely any curry flavor. The prawns were blanched or something. Why weren’t they seared? - The portobello mushrooms were fine, but the chili oil/basil oil pairing didn’t seem to fit The fig dessert thing was meh. The fig was not ripe and didn’t taste like anything. Brulee on it made it better. The caramel(?) dollop overpowered the berries. The sesame brittle is good on its own but doesn’t pair that well with everything else

Everything was on point! The staff were amazing and the food was outstanding. We liked the concept of social dining because you are able to taste different plates. We took 12 plates in total and all of them were unique and flavorful. Definitely worth trying for a special occasion.

I have been here several times now and explored their tasting menu as well as their street food, all amazing! The tasting menu is definitely an experience to savor with time and good company. The sauces are very special. The street food menu is great for something simpler and less pricey, the poke bowl and ramen are particularly tasty. Thank you and I'll be back again!

Modern fusion kitchen with light dishes and an extensive 3 course menu. Dishes chock-full of mixed flavors and tanginess. All dishes were luscious one after the other. Honorable mentions go to the Sichuan Seabass with its mildly spicy Sichuan sauce and well-done French beans, the Ginger Chicken with its spicy and sweet ginger and truffle sauce and the Hoisin Duck topped off with chives, chips and the delectable hoisin sauce The Strawberry Mousse Cake was another tasteful delicacy. The raspberry sauce was exquisite. Service was excellent other than the lady who had taken our reservation who had some sort of attitude towards us.

It's been such a great experience dining in Umami. They have a great tapas portion style menu, so we could try many dishes. The enterior is very nice and despite the fair price, it has an elegant vibe.

Had such a great dinner here. Atmosphere was great, service was amazing and the food was fantastic! Bib gourmand worthy. Also the interior was nice, good resemblance to the asian cuisine. We will be back soon with a group of friends!

Very good and affortable food. This restaurant has a really good concept, you'll enjoy at least three courses consisting of two dishes per person each. You can decide to share each dish so you can try more dishes. Every dish has a lot of different flavours and is prepared really well. My favourites of the evening were definitely the ginger chicken, crispy crabby and buttery beef. .

As always, simply amazing. The concept is one of my favourites, best place when you want to have a great time with someone. My boyfriend took me there on one of our first dates and it was definitely impressive. Now I go there whenever I need to have something special in my life :) The staff is super friendly and food is just... Wow!

Wonderful asian fusion restaurant. Stopped for lunch and had a really good experience. The food was beautifully presented, portion size was adequate and taste wise... absolutely delicious. The duck comes with a interested anis infused sauce which made it a interesting experience. Prices are adequate too.

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price.
