Was perfect! As a Colombian, I can tell that the food there was quite authentic. The prices were nice and the quality of the food was good. They have good variety of dishes and the staff is super friendly.

The place has a quirky ambiance, de interior design is definitely a mix of objects with wood and fairy lights. Nice beer, good service, nice Colombian food, the bean soup was really tasty, but no cads accepted, so be sure you have cash.

The food here was absolutely incredible, and judging by the regulars it seems like it was fairly authentic as well. Unfortunately can’t remember the names of the dishes, but the hostess was incredibly nice and took the time to explain what everything was. She made us feel so welcome. The portions were also very large, so come on an empty stomach!

My partner and I come to this restaurant quite often as we really enjoy Colombian food. The atmosphere is informal and cheerful, with a very colourful ambient; the food is very tasty: our recommendations are the yuca with chicharron, the sopa del día, and the Tropico special dish with different cuts of meat and chicharron you can see in the picture. Totally recommended for a sprinkle of Latin America!

Super recommended!! Went to tropico about 10x now! Never disappoints. I went there since they had a place in de dam up until now at the new location. I must say this is the best their food has tasted so far! And of course super nice staff! We were 5 people and we ordered allot of food, it all came down to 145 euro’s, good price in my opinion. What we ordered: Bandeja paisa, ceviche, carne ala parilla, aros con leche, jugo de mora y cervesa!

As we are 1st time trying Colombian - we did 3 starters and 3 mains plus a side of fried sweet plantain. It’s too much - end up taking home 1.5 main dishes. Could be better if the staff can recommend or guide us. The starters are a hit because of the freshness in flavor. The main is heavy due to meat and rice. The pale Colombian beer is light and again easy drinking.

I absolutely loved this place, made me feel right at home. Their service was incredible and of course so was the bandeja paisa. Definitivamente voy a volver cuando vuelva a Ámsterdam ✨. Their prices are also super affordable!

Woaaaah!! This would be a good Colombian restaurant even in Colombia, I think that says it all! Pro tip: Sometimes they have “maduro with cheese” but not in menu because they’re difficult to get etc. DO TRY THEM!

Tasty food, not many options but the ones they have are quite good, juices are amazing be sure to try one. On a bad note, they so not receive any electronic payment so be sure of taking cash with you.

This is the best place for an authentic Colombian meal! We loved the restaurant, the environment was lovely and warm providing a wonderful family experience. The food is absolutely delicious, it transports you to your hometown. We will definitely go back soon! 10 out of 10!!!
