What a wonderful experience this Motherboard Spanish restaurant was! We just stumbled upon it! The pinxtos and rioja were so good. We had two meat varieties and two fish. Our plates were clean at the end which is a feat for us because we always leave something on the plate. We thought about getting a second round of the steak one! They were toasted up prefecture and I have never had such a delicious bread before in my life. The lady in charge was kind enough to spend some time with us and tell us about the restaurant. It was pretty fantastic!

Great tapas restaurant in Jordaan! Book a table and try out some of their dishes. My favourite was the meat and the bread, really tasted like a night out in Spain. The staff was also amazing!

Good spanish restaurant. We took a sangria, paella for 2 people. Quite fast with services, price a little bit high than normal.

It was a very tasty and authentic experience, it felt like we stepped out from Amsterdam and traveled to Spain for a little moment. We visited during the weekend, therefore it was quite busy for them, but the staff would not make you feel it, they were very attentive and happy to assist their guests. Definitely a place to recommend

Beautiful, elevated pinxos. We’re had a selection after a mouthwatering description of the full range. Huge selection, everything stunning. Friendly and helpful service.

Small and cosy restaurant. Staff is really nice and friendly. We ate a very good vegetables paella and tons of nice tapas. The highlight was the grilled octopus which was tender and tasty.

Nice atmosphere, tapas are nice but quite small portions for the price. Is much fancier than your typical Spanish restaurant. Nice for a date. The sangria was delicious and the service was great. I definitely recommend the deep fried avocado and the selection of spanish sausages.

Was about to order a wine from the menu. But was advised by the waiter to have another one which was not on the menu. I followed the advise. Price was not cmmunicated at the time. When the bill came, it appeared to be 10 euro per glass. Felt really scammed. I expressed my surprise politely. But they did not seem to care anyway.

Beautiful Spanish restaurant which is specialist in “pinchos”. They have them by the bar where you can go and choose them or you can have a la carte menu, including paella. It was my birthday, so we went for the pinchos which were AMAZING! Really tasty! We had 6 of them and I could keep going! Great wine list and the waiters and manager were really helpful and super friendly. Incredible service! As a dessert they brought a birthday candle and they all sang Happy Birthday in Spanish for me. Very cute!

My wife and I have lived around the corner from La Oliva in the Jordaan for the past 5 years and I have been remiss in sharing our experience and giving them the great review they so richly deserve. Over the years La Oliva has been one of our go-to places to bring guests, all of whom have loved it, or for a night out. I have to say, they were a God-send during Covid! The food is excellent. The pinchos (like tapas but from northern Spain) are a great choice. I have to say my favorite is the pan con tomate and their pata negra which are some of the best I’ve had anywhere - including Spain (pictures attached). They have a nice wine selection also! The service is nearly always friendly and warm (nobody’s perfect) and they have a nice interior as well as outdoor tables on one of the best people watching streets in all of Amsterdam. We’ll be moving soon and La Oliva is right at the top of the list of places we’ll truly miss. Enjoy!!

Pinxos are very tasty and portion is quite big compare to the ones I’ve had in Spain. However I have to comment on the paella. We ordered the sea food paella, it was very salty, some of the rice was also not well cooked. Besides that there was not really other nice flavours in the paella. This was one of the worse paellas I’ve ever had. (All my paella experience was in Spain so maybe the bar is a bit too high).

Went when it was a bit busy, managed to find a seat at the bar. It took them a moment to pay attention to me but the food was delicious, had the asparagus salad and the grilled octopus. Great wine suggestion as well by the waitress

Really great food in a great area. We were in a little bit of a hurry, but were superbly looked after by the staff. They made good menu recommendations and the service was quick and friendly. We were lucky to find a table outside without a reservation, but I think I would recommend booking.

Do not bother, the food is shape no substance. It is deprived of the taste the ingredients should have, even the bread isn’t what basque food has at basics. It’s more Dutch food in pintxos shape. The service is a mess too, the lady serving us on Sunday was struggling with the basics. Those 10€ wine glasses aren’t worth quality wise, location is great, maybe just have the pimentos de Padron. Shame how bland and not pleasant food was, the octopus pincho was the most chewy I’ve ever had 🤢

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. I love going here once a while to taste the different pinxtos. Some of them stays same but some of them are changing. It’s been very rare that I didn’t like what I ate:) It’s also a great restaurant to take friends and family when they visit. So far everyone liked it! I love that the service and quality stay same over the years! I will keep coming!

Nice restaurant. Great vibe and excellent service. The food was good but not outstanding. Selection of Spanish wines and a red and white vermouth

Book in advance! This is the first thing, the restaurant is always fully booked. The pintxos were very good, the waiters were very friendly but the price is a bit high, though the experience was very worthed! Recommend!

It’s not worth it and I could feel it. I booked a table of 4 but when we arrived the reservation was only for 3. I asked to be moved to the bigger table across and the reply was: that table is reserved! - well, so was ours and we were more and got a smaller table… Food is acceptable but it is super expensive for what you get. The paella was on the verge of going back due to too much salt. Not coming back.

Many places around here was closed for food. We came here hoping to have some pintxos and were mindblown!!! Highly highly recommend

ambient - nice and cozy food - good and cool (vegetarian & vegan could be implemented) wine - good selection budget - slightly expensive

I went with two of my friends for a Paella and Pintxos, it was a very disappointing experience. The Paella was partially burned and the amount not enough for three people. We wanted to give it back, but the Restaurant Manager would refuse to give us a discount or make any other compensations by herself at first. I've had only good experiences with the Restaurant in the past and this was an very upsetting for me and my friends.

I am very happy with this restaurant... I got the recommendation by my hotel the Craftsmen and everything was very well. My wine excellent... My main course was a beef tender loain (medium rare for me) with potatoes, mushrooms, green asparagus and blue cheese sauce... It was perfect... And finally I took a dessert... This I only do if everything else before was well and I had a chocolate mousse with warm strawberries in a light cake... Everything together in your mouth was a great tasting... Love it. The restaurant is leaded by a Spanish speaking crew and guys and I spended a well time there with nice music in the background. Thx and #highlyrecommended

👍👍 The perfect place to enjoy high-quality seafood at a reasonable price. Was surprised to see this large restaurant buzzing at 5pm (both inside and outside!) but after seeing the fresh fish on display and trying the sashimi which just melts in the mouth I understood why. The staff were also very well-...
