I have no words to describe how satisfied I am with this hotel! We stayed there on my birthday and I had a specific request to get the nicest view possible and they actually did give us the best possible view of Amsterdam with no extra costs. The hotel from the outside looks pretty old but once you enter, you will be greeted by the most beautiful hotel reception. Our room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable! The room and bathroom were clean (except from a small spot on the carpet) and the breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of pastries, drinks, fruits etc. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and if possible, ask for a room with a nice view. It’s going to be worth it!

Comfortable rooms with a nice view of the canal. We got a corner room on the 10th floor and the view of sunrise and sunset was spectacular. The city also looked beautiful well-lit at night from the room. The check-in process is a little slow as there was a huge queue of guests waiting in line. The express breakfast is delicious but would get boring after day 2 as the spread does not change.

It’s a holiday innβ€”don’t expect too much. Nice staff. Rooms are very small and poorly designed (and carpets not vacuumed). The bathroom door is frosted glass which does not close fully. It makes doing business in the bathroom challengingβ€”and when you turn on the light at night the entire room lights up. I know common in Europe, but would be nice to have a full door on the shower. Given the size of the bathroom, when you shower the entire place is soaking wet. The breakfast is not awful, but it is like a zoo!

Almost all the staff was extremely friendly and great. My room was clean. Breakfast was plenty. Reception was super friendly. Unfortunately the front desk staff on Sunday morning was extremely rude. It almost felt like they tried and went out of their way to taint my so far very positive experience. I booked over the phone in advance and was told that I can leave my car parked after check out until I leave that same night. And that it would all be included in the price I payed. Great! However, After checking out I was asked to remove my car from the garage. After explaining the situation I was essentially told that what I was saying is not the truth and I should pay extra for parking. I was shocked how disrespectful they treated me. I kept saying that I don’t think it’s fair being told one thing and then being treated like I am lying about it. After that it almost was like they were making fun of me and trying to irritate me by pointing out the fact that I either pay them for parking or find a parking spot somewhere way more expensive. Then they argued that they have guests that booked the parking spots and that’s why I couldn’t leave my car. Only me paying would make it work. Which obviously doesn’t make any sense since me paying extra is not gonna make other reservations disappear. In the end I didn’t have any other choice but to pay. This was really frustrating since I think you should always stick to what you promise a customer. I spent about 500€ for my stay at the hotel and only found out after that all that inconvenience and trouble was for the laughable about of 12€. Having to go through this was an extremely unsatisfactory experience . I would not recommend this place for the chances of this happening again. Prices for other hotels are very comparable so I would suggest to stick with the known good hotels that have higher standards for the selection of their employees.

It was a pleasure to stay here even for a short period of time. We were a bit tired from a trip at the northern Netherlands, so when we came here of course we expected that everything will be okay as it is a high rated and stars Hotel. Covid has affected everyone for sure, but when we arrived here there are surprisingly a lot of people. The hotel was participating this online promo where people can bid and pay cheap prices, I assumed that's one of the reasons, and it was during Weekend as well. The room is perfect, I would expect a small fridge, but they do not have it, not a big deal anyway. For the location, it's really nice, you have a great view of the Riverside and the hotel is easy to find with a parking outside (public) or the private parking underground. There was a shortage of staff for our dinner, we waiting almost an hour for our main dish, but the bar restaurant manager explained and given us some complimentary drinks. We really appreciated their service. Still, a great place for you to stay if you're visiting Amsterdam or the North of Netherlands.

Good clean accommodations. Friendly helpful staff. To get to the center of the city, you can take the Metro or the ferry. The metro station is a 7 to 8 minute walk from the hotel. One stop and you're in the Central Station. Most of what you need as a tourist is one or two metro stops away. The ferry, which is free, is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel and another 10 minute walk once you disembark next to the Central Train Station. Breakfast is good, but dinner at the hotel restaurant is nothing to brag about. Elevators can be slow at peak times.

Had a good visit at this Holiday Inn Express. It is an unusual express because it has a restaurant serving mostly lighter fare for lunch and dinner and also has a full bar. Rooms are clearly recently renovated and are modern and a clean look. About 400m walk to the local train, and nearby grocery and market.

Loved this hotel: breakfast is the best we've had for being included, the fresh cheese and out of oven croissants were highlights. Staff go out of their way too help you and guide you through the tourist areas. There is a grocery store across the parking lot, which has amazing meals, baked goods, wine, everything you need for cheap. The metro is a few blocks away. Easy access to metro or the fairy to get to the main central station. I definitely recommend this hotel. The experience walking through residential and the train system is part of exploring the culture. Room was small, no mini fridge, and no gym facilities but we made it work. The rest made it worth it.

Fabulous budget hotel. Friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much. Modern and spacious lobby, dining and bar areas, breakfast was fabulous and one of the best buffet style breakfasts I've had! Our room was compact, but perfect with wonderful views of the city. Comfy beds and pillows, and the decor tasteful and modern. I will 100% be re-booking on my next trip to Amsterdam and highly recommend others to check this lovely hotel out.

View on Amsterdam In morning and evening this is perfect and favorite things. Hotel located not such in center of town but you can use easy any transportation, such Metro, tram, bus. Staff on front desk is friendly, helpful with anything you need. Every morning you will have breakfast what is good point before you plan your day In Amsterdam. Also if you don't wanna go any where by hotel is Marketplace, lovely spot with choice of food. Be ready that hotel quiet busy you will met a lot of people there, but it's good :) Room is clean, comfort, and smell good, everyday is housekeeping. Thank you Holiday inn Express for comfortable stay.

At first sight the room seemed nice and it had a nice view. But when we checked the bed it was obvious that the sheets were not changed. There was hair all over the pillows and under the cover. I called the reception and they called maintenance to change the sheets and they promised us a compensation. The next day they told us they could not give us a compensation for this incident. They have signs all over the hotel promising "clean is clean". What a joke!!! I'm really disgusted by the fact that they wanted us to sleep in the filth of other guests while they take pride in their so called "clean promise"! I've been to cheaper places that don't look so nice but at least it was always clean. On a value for money scale, this "hotel" scores far below zero.

I love the closeness of it to the nearby metro and the ease of checking in. It was also great that they accommodated our dog during our stay and even had a doggie bed for him. The breakfast had great variety and compared to the other hotels I was looking at for my stay, I believe I really lucked out with the hotel. Staff was friendly and quick to help and check in and check out were easy. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Amsterdam.

1 had an excellent experience at the Holiday Inn Express. From the moment I checked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always going the extra mile to make sure I was happy and comfortable. The room was spotless, comfortable and peaceful. The bathroom was also very clean, with plenty of towels and amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the linens clean and soft. 1 appreciated the restaurant and bar onsite, and the food was fresh and delicious. The lounge was a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is in a great location near many attractions, restaurants, and shops. It was easy to get around and explore the city. Overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Express was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. πŸ˜‡

We visited this hotel during our holiday. Staff was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the cleanliness.... Okay. Honestly it was a disaster. Bathroom full of previous guests' hair, stains on the bed sheets, not working kettle and barely working remote control made us take a decision to never come back there again. We do not really care much about amenities but come on people, the room was literally filthy. Unfortunately we won't be back ever again πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday inn in Amsterdam it was fantastic. Great room very clean and big two twin beds and loads of room. The bathroom had a shower and that was great. The room included a breakfast which was lovely. The staff were fantastic and were very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is only a short walk to the metro and 10 minutes from Central station. On leaving the hotel the staff made us coffee. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had a great time. Thank you

Delicious breakfast, make sure you get there on time it though ! They close it off right at 10, friendly staff. Very clean, modern and clean bathrooms. It is out of the noise of the city. You only walk 15 minutes to the ferry (free) and you are in Down town. You have the Food market passing the street with cafeteria and restaurant. My Best choice in Amsterdam

20min waiting before I got key. They ask me to reception desk, but after some wait reception asked me to go away. Then second reception tried take 330€ for taxes, but actually those were 19€. There should be birthday surprise, it cost ~35€, but only got one chocolate and few balloons. (More likely 5€ thing) Breakfast was terrible, no plates, salad or other fresh things. And when there were again something that you want, they close area. I was there at 10:20. After first night they call to room and asked me to leave, but i had 2 nights. when we get to reception to ask this, they tried get pay from us city taxes again.

Luxury feel for a not overly expensive price. Close to supermarkets. 10 minutes walk to metro, easy to do with no luggage. Delicious breakfast which changed selection daily. Bar reasonably priced.

This hotel provided an excellent experience during my recent stay. The only set back was all the current construction in the area and on the premises. The rooms are well maintained, the staff was friendly and hospitable, and the atmosphere was calming. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and experience!

We had a wonderful stay here as a family! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we loved the room with an incredible view over Amsterdam. We also loved the dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxing after a busy day in the city! Totally recommend to stay and dine here when visiting Amsterdam!

Pretty nice HIE hotel. Near the water and many room have good views. Its a little outside of the main city center so not much noise. My room was quiet. Very friendly staff. They were aways helpful. Good iron and ironing board in my room. The rooms are small but modern. No ice machines on floor so that was a bit inconvenient. The wifi was very fast (but remember you cant connect a Nintendo switch because IHG can't get their act together).

Wonderful weekend getaway. Close to centre, access to a bar and huge grocery store, we celebrated my husbands birthday and it was worth it, we had our room on level 13, the view was breathtaking. Loved the energy from the team, Andrada from reception is funny and so down to earth, the breakfast team are smiling and welcoming. Rowan helped to organise the surprise, and he did great. The bar at night is nice, but sadly it closes early, and on Saturdays stays late but it isn't lively, though service is good, the bites are delicious too. The one thing I didn't like was the breakfast set up, but was surprised to see they have Vegan croissants, that's a nice touch.

I had a very positive and pleasant stay here. Clean room, lovely view and very good bed. A big plus was the TV with built-in chromecast. The room had all the necessities and if you forgot hygiene items, you got them there. Everyone I met, from check-in to the house keeper was very welcoming. An extra thank you to the bar, with very good food and drinks and not least; very nice staff behind the counter.

Simple rooms without terrible facilities, a lot of people, and I was impressed at night, especially that there were people sitting outside the hotel as well. There was no security, I don't know how With a camera you can watch everything. The Greek girl at the counter is helpful and the kindest of all

Over all best service and hotel was super clean and they give us a free upgrade for the view room. However its bit of walking and metro thing required to reach city but not that bad. I would consider to stay again very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Last not the least breakfast was good too. Thanks Holiday Inn

Room and service was good here. Though a little surprised that they didn’t provide toothbrush till we asked. Breakfast is quite good. Quite a number of choices. A little far from the metro station though, especially when you have to drag your luggage for good 10 minutes through some streets.

The hotel is modern, well furnished, well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and we had a nice view across the harbour to Amsterdam city centre. Buffet breakfast was good quality, varied choices provided and not overly busy. The hotel is located in the north quarter of Amsterdam, across the harbour waterway, so either the Metro, ferry or taxi is needed from city centre. The Metro station is a 6-10minute walk from the hotel, City central station is the next stop and service is very efficient. A 12-15 minute walk in the other direction leads to the ferry landing. These ferries are free to use, run every few minutes directly to the central station landing, a great service. Despite not being in the city centre, we would happily stay at this hotel again.

Big modern hotel. Clean and functional. Check in was terrible but I gather that was an unusual day and that the hotel is very full, the check in staff were doing their best and were good humoured. The bar area is very pleasant with a nice atmosphere and friendly severs. Breakfast is included and is very European with cereals and fruit, breads, cold meats and cheeses, scrambled egg and some bacon - fresh and adequate. Good choice of chilled fruit juices and good coffee from the machines. Our room on the 14th flour has a great view but is rather small, no desk or sofa just a chair and a small surface. With a quicker check in and a better sized room it would have been 5*

Nice and clean hotel, reception is friendly and helpful. Anna doing very good job. Good location close to market, metro, ferry. Easy way get in and out of town. Also easy to central station. They has bike for rental. Breakfast is great. A lot of choices, fresh and hot breakfast. The room is great, clean, nice view and is quite.

Although it's a free ferry ride and a 15 min walk from the rail station it's worth it ! Welcoming and friendly staff, great breakfast and wonderfull views of the river and across to the city. Our room had full width main window and side window looking onto canal. Very convenient for a very clean, good price supermarket . . . ideal for water, snacks etc One star missing from location as some people may prefer hotel with public transport accessibility but 5β˜† for us as we enjoyed the walk.

  • 5/5 Adrien D. 1 year ago on Google
The room was clean, comfortable and with all the equipments you would need. Breakfast was good too, even if it was just a bit crowded during rush hours. Finally the hotel is not downtown but it is very easy to reach it quickly in metro (1 stop from Amsterdam central).

I loved my stay in this hotel! The food is really good, and the rooms are really nice. They are big, comfortable and I sleep really well there. The TV even has a Chromecast, which allows me to watch videos on a bigger screen! When I arrived, the hotel staff was really nice. In particular, I was welcomed really well by Alexis. He made sure that I had a seat each time I was coming by the restaurant, and explained me really well the meals, while making clear introductions to the special food of the day. His service was really good and the fact that he is happy to provide a good service to me and to the other customers makes this experience even better! He was nice, good, reliable and efficient!
