Whisky lover's choice! Not expensive at all. The owner knows everything, just tell him what flavor you like, he will give you the right whisky. I like smoked whisky, he recommended the "menu 6." Was great! I will definitely visit there again!

Whiskey café L & B is the best place to sit down and have a relaxed chat, listening some slow jam jazz and sipping the best whiskies. The place is a huge contrast compared to the mostly chaotic, overly noisy coffeeshops around. The owner is very friendly and he knows a whole lot about whisky. Recommend!

There are few things more wonderful than spending an evening in the L&B tasting a series of whiskeys. This whiskey café has a wide range of Highlands, Speysides, Islays and more! Ask the bartender to pick one out of your favorite category and you’ll not be disappointed. For those new to whiskey, there are little tasting menus you can order. Sit down with a friend at the bar or at a table to start your journey into the world of whiskey. Let yourself be familiarized with sherry casks and peated Islays. Check the menu if you like to know more about whiskey jargon or ask the friendly bartender Gianni. This cozy venue has everything a whiskey lover would like, which is great for what seems to be the only whiskey bar in Amsterdam(!) Do check with them before you go. Their website and menu are not always up to date :).

Beautifully cozy little whiskey bar tucked away in Amsterdam. They had more whiskey than I would ever know what to do with (much older than I am), and a great bartender who knew his whiskey! Overall was a great little find, and I hope to come back here again to try some different bottles!

They have a pathetic banner on a website, but they didn't bother to update Google Maps. Like some one will visit website instead of looking the working hours on a map. We came and met s closed door

Definitely a whiskey heaven for lovers of all whiskey and bourbon. It was a little crowded when we went there on a Friday evening, but all the more gives the place a nice vibe.

A cozy, wonderful hole in the wall with a superb selection. Tasting menus were worth the money. Knowledgeable staff. No menu of their entire selection (it would literally be the encyclopedia) so beginners must ask for help! but if you know what you want then it’s heaven! Credit cards not accepted only maestro debit cards and cash. The place can get busy and hard to find a spot and there is a line for the bathroom.

You can taste the whiskey first and then order of you like. One of its kind of place. Easily accessible from Rijksmuseum Tram station. Bartender is very friendly and knowledgeable. Menu share a lot of information about Whiskeys. You'll find most of the whiskeys available here, not available in local shops. A must visit. If you are a whisky lover, this place is a must. They have a huge whisky menu, from all around the world (USA, India, Japan,...) and it's possible to find a whisky that is for your taste. The owner knows a lot and can easily recommend you something. You just must be aware that the price range is from 6€ up to 50€+, so believe me, they possibly have what you are looking for.

Vibe in this place really depends on the bartender. Some of my friends and I went for a chill night with whiskey’s, but the bartender was rude as hell. I came to the bar and asked for drinks, he said sit down, I will come. I set down, and we waited 30 minutes without being served. Awful service and really do not recommend if you want to have fun in a group larger than 2.

Great place if you like Single Malt Whisky - they do not only have tons of different distilleries but also multiple vintages available. Special recommendation for the tasting menus - a flight of 3 types of Whisky - great!!

A wonderful whisky bar with an astonishing variety/selection. From outside this place looks like a forgotten place but inside it's a miracle, a very special spot. I've been there some 12~ years ago, same quality, just more to choose. They have some very rare bottles, hard to find brands, bottles from long-closed distilleries etc. The service is always decent, the owner (also the former bartender) has retired but our young friends who now work at the bar are also very qualified and know what they do - without being arrogant or snobbish. Don't forget to check the menu, the treasures are hidden in there!

Great whisky selection. I met up with friends here tonight for my birthday and enjoyed some excellent whisky. Out of their huge list, I splurged on a glass of a 1990s bottling of Oban and also tried some Caol Isla from the mini cask they had tapped. Both were great. Overall it was a cool experience for a whisky lover.
