This pond was previously known as 'লেডিস হলের পুকুর'। However, the reconstruction work of this pond of Sher-e-bangla Agricultural University has been ended by this october, 2020. Soon after the reconstruction and amplification of the pond by digging, it has evolved as one of the Most exciting students gathering points in the University. As the reconstruction gave the new attire and beauty to the pond, students appeal to rename the pond. After a rigorous online poll voting in University's most popular page (SAU FAMILY) most vote casted for "রমজান ভাইয়ের পুকুর"। This " Romjan vai" was a very unknown figure in the students which we may termed as "general naive student" got viral overnight soon his name was added to the voting poll. He used to catch big fishes at deep night in this pond and nobody still can exceed his art of catching fish from this pond at night. This History and artful talent of Ramjan vai influenced students to put their vote for his name. We wish this democratic demand of the common students of SAU will reflect to parmanently renamed this pond after Ramjan vai.. Hoping this information will be milestone to recognise and popular this name Worldwide...

Storyteller: Ramzan Bhai (Original) ""রমজান ভাইয়ের পুকুরের ইতিহাস "" ২০১৫ সালে কোনো এক রাতে রমজান ভাই হর্টিকালচারের কর্নারে মাছ ধরতেছিলো।ঐ রাতে ও ৪ কেজি ওজনের ১ টা নাইলোটিকা (খবরের কাগজের এক পাশে মাথা, লেজ আরেক পাশের বাহিরে) আর ১+ কেজি একটা তেলাপিয়া মাছ পেয়েছিলো ১ ঘন্টার মধ্যে ,এর চেয়ে ছোট মাছ যা পাইছে তা ছেড়ে দিছে। এর আগেও ও মাছ ধরতো,কিন্তু এত্তো বড় আর পায় নাই। ফজিলাতুন্নেছার সামনে আমাদের ব্যাচ + সিনিয়র ১০/১২ জন মাছ ধরতেছিলো।রমজান ভাই তাদের দেখে নাগলিঙ্গম গাছের মধ্য দিয়ে চলে যেতে ছিলো,তারে যেতে দেখে বড় ভাই রা ডাক দিলো তার ব্যাগের মাছ দেখার জন্য। মাছ দেখে সবাই থ!সবাই যেখানে এক আঙুল সমান তেলাপিয়া পেয়ে সন্তুষ্ট, সেখানে ৪ কেজি ওজনের মাছ দেখে থ হওয়ারই কথা।পরে সবাই বললো ওদের কিছু মাছ ধরে দিতে।আধা ঘন্টায় ছোট বড় মিলিয়ে প্রায় ৩-৪ কেজি মাছ ধরে সবাইকে দিলো।এর পর সবাই ঐকিক নিয়ম করা শুরু করলো,যে ৩০ মিনিটে ৩/৪ কেজি মাছ ধরে,সে ৪/৫ ঘন্টায় কত মাছ ধরে?!?!? এরপর থেকে মাছ ধরায় রমজান ভাইর নাম ছড়িয়ে পড়লো।শেকৃবি প্রশাসন বিশেষ করে সেকেন্দার স্যারও একমাত্র রমজানকেই চিনতো মাছ চুরির জন্য😊। কাহিনি কথকঃ রমজান ভাই
