The seatings are spacious and diners enjoy their tiny privacy. And service was perfect. No waiting time and we got to sit by the balcony watching the ferries jotting in and out. Beautiful view. And the servings were just too good we wished for more space in our tummy. We almost got lost just climbing those stairs and probably needs signage to show the way. We laughed all the way up till we settled down on our seats. Worth a try. For my kitchen was closed that night😂~ it happens

Immaculately presented restaurant with good service staff but far too slow for food coming out for our corporate group. An hour after arrival and still no bread on tables. Dinner took over two hours and was not exactly good sized portions. Don't order the cheeseboard you'll get two thin slices of cheese that's all. Lovely view and staff but that's about it sadly.

This restaurant has been around for years. It’s located in the Ferry Building, top floor. Nice views of the harbour. The venue is modern feel, open planning & bright. Has an old school feel about it, with the diners we saw there. Service was ok (waitresses are young & polite) could be faster but the food makes up for that. We had starters of Wagyu Beef Carpaccio & Tempura Scampi Tails & Scallops. What a sensation of taste, these where beautiful. Then we shared between 3 the Seafood Platter, full of Oysters, Clams, Mussels, Sashimi, Prawns, Squid & Fish. All done in a different natural or with a sauce or Batter. Fresh, Lightly covered & Delightful tastes. Expect to pay $$$ for the food but we’ll worth it for the taste. Well done to the chefs.

An exquisite fine dining experience, with fresh seafood and impeccable service. Each of my meals came beautifully laid out and felt artistic even. Also, the restaurant was very spacious and comfortable. The impressive display of liquor in glass cabinets further enhances the luxurious ambience too. However, food can take a while to arrive, with the salad being served mid-meal, unlike in most restaurants. Overall, however, I would definitely recommend Harbourside to those seeking a high-quality and high-end seafood feast here in Auckland. Located right in the ferry building, I'm sure it will be easy to find too.

Great family gathering for my partners birthday had the seafood platter and some of the starters all delicious, forgot to take pics of the mains but all very tasty as well the deserts were to die for and the wine list is great, finished of with an affogato and delicious port, our Waitress Charlene was amazing and made our night even better very thoughtful of her to bring out a birthday dessert after hearing us toasting on the birthday!! She is a keeper give her a pay rise or I will offer her a job 😂😂!!

We enjoy coming here and have visited a few times. Always excellent service. Their best dishes, in my opinion, is the seafood. Superb settings and ambient. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The front of house lady was very welcoming and warm and found a table for us outside where the ferries come in to play. I had been craving mussels and was satisfied with my entree sized bowl of large mussels in a creamy sauce. The sauce was very salty but the mussels were joyous. My partner had the scallops with a cauliflower puree. They were nice but three scallops does not make a meal however nice. I gave her some bread to give her something to eat. Both meals were tepid in temperature. We shared a side of broccolini which was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our lunch but the scallops at $35 for three was over the top. And the waiter banged on about cooking fish to perfection and could not even pronounce the fish correctly. I came to eat not to have a poor tutorial on fish preparation. The view is okay although on a more pleasant day may have been better appreciated.

I have to say the staff are so professional and super friendly! My experience has always been positive every time I go to Habourside! They have the best sushi ever, I cant even explain how good it is, mocktails are to die for! Thank you so much Habourside, ill definitely be back!

Great food with great views and nice service. To be honest it’s a bit too windy to sit outside even it’s not raining, still feels so cold. The food are more like fusions which is not bad. The 🦪 are really good with a very reasonable price 👍👍👍

Really nice location and staff were great! Dropping a star as the portion sizes were a bit small or could do with some included sides for the price. Incredibly flavourful food for what we had though! Thanks

Amazing service and uninterrupted of fun time at Harbourside Ocean Bar Grill (HOBG) on 11th Dec 2021 to celebrate a year of blessings. I was very impressed with the service team at HOBG that served a group of close to 20 of us patiently and attentively. Even with their masks on, I could feel their hospitality and sincerity in their service. Bravo to the team. The food was reasonably good and I enjoyed the ambience thoroughly.

Have a wonderful birthday BIG lunch arranged by my wife, fresh seafood platter, seafood chowder with great true harbour view, unfortunately unable to finish all dishes...., very impressed with the warm service.

I had an absolutely exquisite New Year's Eve dinner here. The food was second to none, the service was great - the right amount of attentiveness. So much that I decided to tip, which is not really common practice in NZ but the waitress really deserved it. Our total bill ended up being about $470 which is a lot, but for 4 courses, wine, beer, and cocktails it felt worth it for a special occasion.

Exceptional food. They were rather busy, so it made it hard to get drinks. It’s very expensive, but that’s reflected in the food.

Had a superb anniversary meal with the best seafood platter and scallops dish. Nice view over the harbour with attentive waiters. Fine dining done right. Large wine selection if you are into wine.

Quite expensive, food was nice, if getting a main, be sure to also order some sides. Scallops from entrée menu - absolutely amazing, did not take photos but beautiful dish, cooked to perfection, but comes with only 4 scallops..

Lovely ambience, tomato salad was average main, snapper a little dry, but mistakes happen, no kitchen can do 100% every time so will visit again Pork belly? WOW cinnamon bark was amazing. do not be put off. It is a really worth the experience. Eaten numerous times and always great. Service warranted a tip but at the lower end.

Great service by Jake and Aki, and the food was divine. Make sure you ask for a table with a view. My table overlooked the wharf and the view was awesome 👏

This was an experience we can't fault. My partner couldn't stop praising the scallops and how amazing they were, steak was cooked to perfection, champagne was the perfect beverage to wash done our meals. Phenomenal service from absolutely everyone. We will definitely revisit in the future.

Went here last night for a friend's bday dinner. Place seemed short staffed so the wait was long. Food was well worth waiting for. Waiters were very busy but still took great care of us. I had written in the reservation that it's my friend's bday and would like a bday dessert. Reminded them upon arrival , but when desserts arrived it was still missed out.

My family of 3 had a reservation for 8:30 on a Tuesday. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were asked to have a seat in the bar while they prepared our table, should be about 5 minutes. No issue with this. About 15 minutes later, right before I was going to ask the host what was going on he came over to me and asked if I had a booking. This is the same guy that told me to go to the bar 15 minutes prior. Once we sat down outside the waitress was very nice and turned on a heater for my son and wife and brought a blanket for my son. From that point on the service was pretty poor and very very slow. I came to this restaurant specifically for the crayfish which they didn’t have. I heard a man next to me tell the waiter he had ordered 4 things that didn’t have. We had to track down the wait staff to order each time and my second drink took so long I just told them to keep it because we were ready to leave. My wife ordered 2 soft drinks and got charged for 3. The food was good, the staff were nice but the service was very poor. I wouldn’t go back for that reason. I assume our experience wasn’t typical, maybe it’s because we dined late by NZ standards?

Really good place to go for a nice dinner with a view. The food and service was excellent. My dessert was simply amazing. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Auckland
