Loved my time at Brothers Beer. Great knowledgeable staff who were really helpful in choosing what to drink (the guy from Belgium!!) . Fantastic selection of beers with a really diverse menu. Not overly expensive for the quality of good craft beers available. Would recommend this bar to any beer lover.

Superb sale of craft beers on tap and further variety of packaged ones. Quirky 80's decor and paraphernalia inside, which I love. Had an excellent chat with David the barkeep and enjoyed a few beers with some nice wings. They have outdoor tables for the warmer and longer evenings. If you like good craft beers, within the actual semi-operational brewery, this is for you.

Amazing place to come for BBQ. Recommend going for the brisket and ribs but go for the Buffalo hot sauce. Service friendly and casual. I’m surprised it wasn’t more busy for on a Saturday at noon.

Rob was a great host at Brothers beers, really helpful and knowledgeable on the products and gave some excellent suggestions on the food. Plentiful beer options on tap and the food was excellent. Quirky joint with some eclectic design ideas and a very cool DVD collection!

Two and a half years and I finally got back to the local beer heaven. So relaxing and unique, and has tons of board games for groups and magazines for solo entertainment. Not only do they have like 15 taps, but they also sell TONS of individual bottles too. Ultra friendly staff. Outdoor seating as well. For note, bathrooms are a few doors down.

On a quiet Sunday afternoon we met up with friends here for a few pints of good craft beer. We were some of the only patrons visiting so pretty much had the place to ourselves; friendly enough service but the staff were clearly bored with the pace of proceedings. However this didn’t affect our experience, as we happily whiled away a few hours chatting and enjoying our drinks. My friends were into the cider so happily imbibed the Zeffer Crumble Cider on offer, while I went for more of a range, one IPA from the tap and a hearty Hallertau Stout from the fridge. To accompany our drinks I ordered a four-cheese pizza, and it was top notch. The all important factor of a thin and crispy base accounted for, the topping of cheese was generous and oozing with a good dab of blue cheese for saltiness, and it arrived quickly and decently hot. They do take the retro-hipster aesthetic to heart, everything from the chintzy furniture to the thunderbirds island playset on the counter. But these touches fill up the rather industrial space nicely and it certainly is a social hub on a Friday or Saturday night. A very commendable venue for a meetup for sure.

The bbq and cider were both just what we were looking for. We had time to kill and were pleasantly surprised at variety of cider available. The BBQ was the best we've had in years. Their ample indoor and outdoor seating makes this place great to hang out at or just grab a bite.

Great place for a quiet beer or three. Good music, great staff and the food smells great. It's a nice stop before heading off for a night in the city or for a few after work.

Great beer, great bartenders, if you bring great company you will have a great time. This was my first beer stop in Auckland and the bartender lead me through picking one of the better flights I have had the opportunity to enjoy. Cheers mate

Popped in here on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a couple of beers. Whilst the outdoor tables unfortunately weren’t in the sun, the comfy warm indoor area was more than perfect. The place is dog friendly which is always a bonus for us - the menu even has a few dog treats which is pretty cool! Our dog had the lamb stew and he completely devoured it. Cool place with a good vibe. We didn’t try any food this time around however the extensive bbq menu looks excellent and we will definitely be back for more beers and try the food

Upon entrance we stood at where we thought was where we would be served, staff walked past us twice without indicating that we needed to head to the bar to be served. Funny enough she (staff member) served us at the bar without a welcome, gave us menus and we had to figure it out ourselves . Prior- I booked to dine but the reserved spot we got were couches and a coffee table? Umm how are we supposed to eat a meal on couches and a coffee table? Our food: meat was dry, over done, over priced, it wasnt busy but sure took a while to get our drinks. I wouldnt recommend this place especially for their previous reviews on their food and service! If you want to go to a bar for just drinks, bad food and service then this is your joint!

Have been to the Mt Eden one before which was cool, so thought we would try this one. The food was nice, albeit over priced for what it is. Was great to have vegan options though (including for kids which is almost unheard of!). A lot of the beer was out of stock. The kids juices were expired, the wine had floaties, no kombucha. The ‘fill yer boots’ alcohol free beer was great though! The slaw is really yum, and good fries! The vibes weren’t great there. When we first arrived the music wasn’t on and we felt like we had to whisper, so we asked for some music to be turned on which they kindly did. The staff were pretty slow, we had to go up and remind them about some drinks we had ordered a couple of times, they seemed like they didn’t want to be there (which I get to be honest, it was the new years holidays!) Other than that, easy parking which is always welcome in the city! Not sure if we would go back to this particular one.

Having been a fan from their initial opening, i was extremely disappointed with the service at the Mt Eden bar. The staff need some serious training on customer service and a civil demeanor. I was left standing at the bar waiting for 10 + minutes while one staff member made one ser of drinks another was too busy with the tablet and the third was standing there doing nothing, waiting for a customer to come back to place an order. Then tried to serve the person who had just arrived. Then there was the meal service. We ordered for 4, 2 meals arrived, they were eaten before after about 15 minutes later the rest arrived. Luckily the people with the food didn't wait for the second lot to arrive. Poor performance and very sad to see a great business let down by its staff. Having worked in retail I am well versed in what good customer service looks like.

Cool looking place on the inside but the guy behind the bar was extremely rude and acted like he didn't want to be there. Wouldn't recommend it based on the service.

Literally just ordered off uber eats, if it taste this good via delivery can't imagine how much this would have been better dine-in. Very very good

😐 Lovely atmosphere and great location for bottomless frose! We had a good time however left hungry… we are disappointed with the amount of food you get especially because in the past it was only $50 for bottomless froze AND a foot long pizza per person. This was our first time in Auckland and so we b...
