Superb club - in the traditional sense. A few well-worn corners that give away the Squadron's true purpose. A superb lay out that aptly lays out the Squadron's history on Auckland's waters. A dining room with enough life to be comfortable, but plenty of privacy to ensure one feels special dining among their party. Seafood dishes are delicious, and lamb and steak ensure everyone is happy. There's even fish and chips for the kids. A good wine and beer selection makes for a good transition between the dining room and separate bar - both with extraordinary views across the harbour. The centrepiece though: the America's Cup. Go here and enjoy a unique experience to really make for a special evening.

Beautiful views over Auckland harbour and Harbour Bridge and excellent facilities. Just miss that welcoming feel. Staff could be friendly and less formal. Very traditional building and staff practices (and although that makes it great for National to party) it does not give a welcoming feel and sense of belonging. One word to describe it would be cold. Good if you like conservative views on how things should be done formally but would be way better if it was a little less.

Excellent views from the bar and restaurant. The History of Yachting in New Zealand is second to none. From the America's Cup , Prada Cup and multiple cups of different classes of racing. Prime location at Westhaven overlooking the beautiful Waitemata Harbour and spectacular views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Beautiful view. Some nice staff. Food is OK. Takes 30 mins to cook a medium rare steak. I wonderred if its a normal time frame. 😂😂 Hungry so will not do more than 3 stars. Updared: I'm full and the food is good. Can see why they will take a little longer Ahahha.

Fabulous new brunch menu. I took my parents yesterday but have taken US & AU friends previously while visiting NZ. Portions were modest but richly so any initial questions were put to rest. For momento lovers there is a store open 7 days for RNZYS bags, jackets, rope (for dad..) and jewellery and on the balcony the silverware is almost as impressive as the brunch panacotta.

The Yacht club took care of us during a moving and sad time of loss of a dear person. I attended a "celebration of life". The food and service was wonderful and of course the venue is classically elegant and boaty, peeking out over the harbour, under the bridge. The walk along the marina is very pleasant and one day I hope to have time to stop and sit at one of the loungers!! Thank you RNZYC of Auckland.

This public venue is impressive enough because of its location which reinforces the nautical theme of this grand building. This guardian of The Americas Cup is laden with rooms to cater for multiple events that truly have iconic views.

First time sailing on the MRX. The coach was awesome, made learning fun & safe. Thank you putting the online courses together too. I am so happy & looking forward to my next lesson. :-) Lunch was delicious with beautiful sea views. Highly recommended.

This is a bit of a different review as I was fortunate enough to be a supplier for a corporate celebration there over the weekend, rather than a customer. The event manager, Victory, made delivery and pick up a breeze, and was a great communicator. The location is established, access is good, and every window is like a postcard to look out of. I would certainly recommend the RNZYS for any event to impress.

Food was good gastro pub fare in the upstairs bar but the service was a little slow. You can't beat the location though. Absolutely stunning and we can see the Americas Cup as well.

Lovely function location. Amazing main course (buffet) Main criticisms: the desserts were not the best & milk for tea could only be used from the coffee machine. Frothy milk in tea is awful, and an insult to tea drinkers. This can be easily rectified through the provision of fresh milk especially as the servers were not about to ask for it. Some of the toilets were out of order which was odd. The security staff at the door were friendly.

It's a beautiful place to hangout with friends, or a special someone, and see the pretty lights displayed from the Auckland Harbour Bridge. You can also talk a stroll on the boardwalk too. Best views at night of the city and AUCKLAND Skytower.

Got invited on a company event for a sailing race course with Elliot 7 and one of my most thrilling activity as I'm not into sailing or done other water activities apart from swimming in pools and beach. Felt very privileged to be inside this building and saw all the memorabilia of NZ sailing. Had drinks and nibbles in their bar area and also bought souvenir - shorts and shirt with RNZYS emblem which are so cool. The old building with quite outdated interior is not a downside of the rich history the building houses. There is a great view from the first floor of the outside surroundings of the marina and harbour.

We didn't go in here, but we stood under shelter from rain to take pic's & watch the light show on Harbour Bridge...

My partner and I had a Sunday roast dinner and we bought enjoy our meals. I had asked to have fish and dairy free roast because of my diet and the food was very nice. The waitress was professional and friendly to take our order and help me with for special order. The restaurant view is beautiful with Auckland harbour and Bridge. Highly recommended.

😐 Lovely atmosphere and great location for bottomless frose!
