Milenta. M is for melody, the song of South American food & wine. I is for innovation, found swirling through the smoked mascarpone wow how did they do that—mixed with the chilli chocolate tart it tastes like there’s a house fire in my mouth and I love it. L is for luxury, because you’ll spend too much and feel guilty then think hang on that was so yum I don’t regret it. E is for enchantment, as the moody lowlights hide your red wine teeth. N is for nurture, where the staff meet your every need. T is for try, ‘cause you hope the rest of Victoria Park Market will hurry up and pick up their game because it’s actually a nice part of town. A is for am I going back? Yes.

Absolutely fantastic evening. The food was exceptional. The flavours... superb. Service.. wonderful. Cannot wait to return but with more people so we can order more dishes and be able to have them all. The best food we have eaten in a very long time (covid aside). Wonderful atmosphere also.

Good restaurant very nice outdoor area Great atmosphere Food was good however chicken was bit cold I would recommend they add more to the menu on the main as 3 options is very limited If they had steak would of been amazing Also more lighting as I couldn’t see the food I wish i could reply to the owner but here is my reply: Fresh produce well thats not true most of your food is pickled the chicken had nothing fresh with it Also your rib eye was $85 for very small piece!!!! And lot of fat to make it look big

Waitstaff are very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was so delicious - fresh and bursting with flavour. We had just about everything on the menu and finished it all because it was just so good!

Amazing dishes and attentive service. I adore the location and decor has been well thought out and perfect for the area. We usually go for lunch and hopefully dinner sometime soon as I'm told the vibe is so different night vs day. Loving their heirloom tomatoes, picanha and delicious slow cooked on coals aged wagyu with bone marrow. My absolute star dish is their dessert, tres leche cake with smoked raspberries.

The food was great, and the service was excellent. We like the ambience, the open fireplace's wood fire smell, and the secluded setting.

Went for a birthday dinner and the service was impeccable. Milenta has very attentive wait staff who had some good suggestions on what to eat, also great back of house staff producing some amazing dishes. Cocktails were flowing and very well balanced. Nice decor and atmosphere with subtle low lighting and the aroma of the embers and flames right there in the kitchen. Mmm. Favourites were the blistered okra with the yellow mole and the blue cod in banana leaf. That being said, everything was divine and full of flavour. Highly recommend the dry aged ribeye, treat yourself! We also had the grilled chicken with a beautiful red pepper hummus but demo’d it before any pics could be taken. Will be back, new Auckland favourite for sure. Shout out Al and the rest of the wait staff.

Best food I've probably had in New Zealand. The pork, on recommendation, was mind blowing. I never knew pork could be better than wagyu in a sense. The pineapple with it added an extra layer that cut through the fat and just put it on another level. Every dish here was amazing but I'll never forget the Kurobuta Pork chop.

Hidden gem of a restaurant - I went past this place many times but didn’t know it was there until a friend recommended it to me - all food we tried was amazing or great. octopus dish is a must try - look scary but yummy! market fish was good choice too, adding potato pacel to the mix was good choice - small size potatoes were a pleasant surprise as it had natural sweetness I really liked. I went to this restaurant twice and I will go a third time soon. :-) If you can, try going on a rainy day… the sound of rain on the roof made the atmosphere dreamy and special.

Very pleasant experience at Milenta. The staff were friendly, personable and helpful. Even witnessing the wait staff with difficult customers on the next table they were very professional. Experiencing their Waitangi Day set menu was a treat! NZ inspired cuisine was absolutely beautiful. We paid a fair penny, but it was well worth it! A must go to and I look forward to going again to experience their typical menu!

The market fish and kūmara gnocchi were way too salty and the portion size was disappointing given the price. The pork chop was overcooked, extremely dry and covered in a peppery ash. The guy at front of house was very friendly, however the lady serving my table was a bit intimidating and ruined the vibe.

Milenta is crushing it. So distinct in its atmosphere, delightful in its service and delicious in its fire roasted food. Fortunate to have it in the area, so don’t sleep on it.

Hands down the coolest restaurant in Auckland! Love love love the South American themed menu with its wood fired cuisine deliciousness, and then there’s the indoor/outdoor setting that’s just so unique. We had such a great experience and will be back.

What an exceptional meal at Milenta last night! Food was phenomenal with unique flavours, and everything was perfectly executed. We had the fried paraoa with cheesy Jalapeño dip and trevally ceviche with yuzu horseradish cream for entrees. Yellow Belly Flounder with capers and crispy pork belly for main. Plus a side of beautifully roasted beetroot and carrot with smoked labneh. The wood fire brought a nice element of char and aroma to the dishes and we easily polished off all our plates. We even had room for dessert. Rhubarb and pear empanadas, drizzled with warm vanilla natilla.

Tucked in Victoria Park Market this place has a wonderful atmosphere. The food was amazing, shared plates of mouth watering flavors. Good wine selection. Staff were extremely converse with the menu and helpful with comments. Highly recommended for a special night dining out. Winter...wrap up warm as it is semi outdoors but lots of heaters and yes is undercover...summer time they roll the roof back, stunning. Thank you very much enjoyed our dining experience..will be back

What a vibe! Such an amazing setting, tucked away and feels intimate yet has such a buzz about it and love the outdoor feel it has. The staff were absolutely second to none, friendly and knowledgeable about the food we were having and created a really warm environment and made it feel really special without being pretentious. The food / drinks were deeeelish! Flavour combinations I hadn’t tried before and the Hendricks margarita was like a refreshing shower at a boujee spa in a drink - just fab! We dined for the valentines set menu and for dessert we’re escorted to their bar next door called Shy Guy, and in all honesty I had a little apprehension about how it would flow with our evening but it was perfect. The atmosphere and vibe they have created at the bar is exactly what Auckland has been needing! It reminded me of the places in Sydney or the UK, a place where you can talk the night away with friends listening to good music (tunes were spot on) a super cool venue and great drinks. I wouldn’t have gone to Shy Guy without this experience and now I can’t wait to go back with friends. This place is exactly what not just vic park, but what Auckland has been needing. Huge kudos to Naz, the chefs, the front of house team and all the others who make this place what it is.

We had a semi impropt decision for a place for dinner and decided to try here. We booked around midday and got a reply about an hour or 2 before the booking. We booked for an indoor area and was led away to the bar down the road. This might've been because the main area was full but we weren't really told why. The bar was nice though and we did get a nice booth to sit at. The retaurant is loacted on the carpark end of Victoria Park Market. There is a small sign by the door. The food menu is fairly large and does have a selection of interesting sounding items. We grabbed a few to share. Most of the plate were smallish though or were just so easy to eat. The Peruvian ceviche had a nice coconut flavour to it when you mixed everything together. The dressing on the tuna tiratido paired well with the fish but was a bit too sour to eat by itself. The fried arepas were crispy and filled with tender and tasty beef. The burrata was nice but I was looking for and failed to find any of the charred grapes. The picanha tartare was really ncie with the potato sticks. The pork chop main was delicious. Beaufitully cooked and seasoned and was very juicy. The main was just the protein so it might be good to order some sides too. Desert was mostly a let down. The tres leches cake was very nice and creamy. Nice flavour and tasty. The ice cream that came with it was a bit icy and the flavours were interesting. The leche flan was nice but the mango caramel on top was not. Not sure if they used fresh mango but it tasted more like a chutney with spices which I didn't like. The alfajore was just bad. It was so hard that you couldn;t relly get into it. It just tasted sour to me. It was one of the few times we actually sent a dish back. Overall the food was made really well and tasted really good. You can probably pick any item (expect the desserts) on the menu and you will most likely enjoy it. The bad desserts did leav a figurative and literal sour taste in my mouth after a really nice dinner.

Overall high quality and tasty food. Cool indoor outdoor bar vibe, but warm for dining over winter. Had a number of dishes and all delicious.

I took my family here for dinner, we absolutely loved the atmosphere and the assortment of delicious food. The girls who served us were lovely! looking forward to coming here in the Summer months to see the ceiling open under the tree over a few cocktails.

One of my favorite restaurants in Auckland. The quality of food and service is always consistent. We had a birthday dinner here and were quite satisfied. You can also bring your own cake (with a $35 cake fee).
