We didn't have the (extra cost) buffet breakfast as it's way more fun to go and try places nearby — and there are so many options! No communal areas or bar but again there are amazing options to explore all around. It also means it's a very quiet hotel despite its great location.

Awesome location. Clean. Comfortable beds. Delicious and always fresh breakfast. Friendly staff. Great WiFi. All rooms have nice little balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel and the metro station is 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay again 👍

Hotel room was clean, good size and basic equipment. We had a room with a balcony with a very nice view. Very good location near the beach and city centre. Bus stop is located in front of the entrance of the hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was very cool, good variety of cheese and spanish salami, sausages, bacon, eggs but also fruit, pastry, juice, jam, honey, two coffee machines, milk, muesli, cereals…

For the location, the good room and very friendly service from Frederico and Mike (I hope i remember your names correctly!?) at the reception. Good value for money.

Visited here for a holiday in June 2022. Originally had to cancel our visit for 2020 and was refunded no issue so decided to rebook here 2 years on. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and it is situated in a good location. Breakfast was also good. Room had a mini fridge and decent air-con and a nice little balcony. It is also ideally priced considering all this. Was recommended this hotel by a family member and would pass on this recommendation to family/friends visiting Barcelona (would maybe recommend booking a terrace room).

Very good hotel in this price. I stayed with my family. Tasty breakfast. Hop on hop off bus stop is near. Beach is with in 1 km. Service is great. Supportive hotel staff. If you need somrthing extra they provide you free of cost.

We booked this Hotel one month ago and in the last Day before our flight we got a Spam Mail that they changed our Hotel without permission so we were forced to take the other Hotel that is more than 15 Minutes away from evertyhing we planned to go to before because it was to short planned to organize another hotel . No call or anything from Hotel side. When we arrived at the other Hotel we had to wait 2 hours because nothing was right for our Booking. We wanted to talk to the Manager to Show him how much this change damaged our vacation but He was never there and we werent allowed to talk to him. They Gave us a Hotline number but no one took of the Phone. At the End, this organisation ruined our vacation and i would not suggest this gargalos Hotel chain to anyone Who wants to enjoy his vacation in Barcelona.

The view was good, better than I expected. We enjoyed many sites and restaurants within reasonable walking distance. The breakfast buffet was very good and the ladies there, Scarlett and Yuli were very friendly.

Very clean hotel. V. Nearby bus stops. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Most rooms have balconies. Short walk to the beach. Alas, no kettle in the room.

Not worth the price. The rooms are basic, no air-conditioning in April even though the listing says it has AC. Many of them face a wall/elevator and if you request to change (having booked in advance) they will make things difficult for you despite having other rooms available. The only plus is that the location is good and they have a luggage store. At checkout time beware of a lady who knocks and opens the door immediately shooing you out.

I had a really bad experience with this hotel. I almost never leave negative reviews (literally maybe one other time in my life), but hope others can benefit from the information. We stayed in April 2023. It's a shame, because the location is good and the staff onsite is nice. However, there was trash outside the hotel entrance for the entire three days of our stay, no one cleaned it up. The restaurant next door managed to keep their area clean, but not this hotel. There were ants in our room and the cleaners came at really weird times - super inconsistent. Beds were uncomfortable and the smoke from restaurants below overwhelmed the patios, so it was even tough to enjoy the outdoor balcony. FYI there are other hotels close, so I highly recommend looking into those instead of this one to take advantage of the good location. The worst was the customer service. I booked my stay months ago, but never received a confirmation email (yes I checked spam). I wanted to make sure I had lodging, so I contacted customer service to explain the situation and booked the same room to ensure I had lodging since I was leaving the following week. I only revived confirmation for the second booking to my email, and when they responded, customer service confirmed only one booking. So that was that. But then when I checked in to the hotel, they said I had two reservations and would be charged for the first night in BOTH ROOMS, despite the fact that I reached out to avoid this very circumstance. They refused to remedy the situation and were super rude to me. I was shocked to receive the kind of treatment for something so obviously their mistake and easy to fix. Maybe they are under new management since the other reviews? I am not sure. Beware of this - I recommend looking elsewhere!

I'm only not giving a 5 star review because of the room we had. It was a loud room being near the air conditioning unit outside the window. No natural sunlight or air either. But the staff and hotel itself was brilliant. Staff are lovely and friendly, and they are always happy to help. Breakfast was great, good variety. Brilliant location. Near public transport and everywhere was easily accessible.

Great hotel. Exceptional service and friendly staff. Can absolutely recommend to stay if you need a place that is close to the beach. The room was solid and had everything you needed. If anything was missing the staff would help you as well.

Location 100%, reception very helpfull 100%, breakfast good and choise inaf for everyone. If we come back to Barselona we will take this hotel. Tkanks 😉

Location was perfect, our room had a port view and we can go to barri gothic area in 5 minutes by walking. Breakfast was much better than i expected. The room was quite big. So I totally recommend.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.Situated near the beautiful marina with lots of nice restaurants and in a great location to reach either the Cruise ship terminals or view the main sights.Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were NOT good. We had reserved 2 beds, but they put me and my adult son in a room with just 1 tiny double bed (they did the same thing to my sister and her adult son too). Our room's air conditioning was broken, and all they could offer us was a fan, which did NOT help much since it was July. There were ants in the bathroom and the mint they left by my bedside had been sucked on then put back in the wrapper - leaving a sticky mess everywhere. Gross! The location is really great and the breakfast was fantastic, that's the only think from keeping this from being 1-star.

Very attentive staff, rooms could do with a refresh but the most important ingredients are there, clean and comfortable. Big plus point for the WiFi, works really well unlike most hotels i have been to in BCN.

Hotel del Mar is located at the intersection three neighborhoods: el Born, Barceloneta and Barri Gotic. The hotel is steps to the subway and there are several bus lines that stop right outside the door. Rooms are small but the Terrace upgrade was awesome. Bathrooms tiny, but the water pressure from the shower practically blew me into the room next door. Hotel del Mar offered the very best breakfast that we had in Spain. Ferran went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. Thank you

Hotel Del Mar has the best concierge staff. The rooms are excellent and breakfast is superb. It was very easy to get around Barcelona from this hotel too.

The bathrooms didn’t have a lock even though I chose a 2 bed room. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, on the first day the sink was clogged and the rooms were uncomfortably hot.

Awesome location, easy to acces and close to the key places. Room was OK, nothing fancy, clean room and neat bathroom. Aminities OK. I would say efficient and good for a weekend but not for more than that, I guess you will need more comfort. Service was OK. What was needed without extra.. Value for money.

Wow, couldn’t ask for a better location, hubby and I had a few hours to spare before check-in and we walked around town while staff held out luggage. In less than 12 hours we were able to chop at the mall, site see, go to museum, eat at an amazing tapas restaurant, get a pedi, and stop at a cafe for pastries and coffee. On top of that, they were able to check us in earlier than scheduled. Room had a beautiful rustic balcony with an outstanding view.

The hotel has a nice location. A bit old and not the cleanest. Our bed had a broken leg which wasn't fixed during our one week stay. Breakfast was quite good, great for early mornings.

Location is nice, but for this price, literally everything else is quite bad. No airconditioning, bad matrasses & duvets, very old interior and aside breakfast no hotel facilities.
