The lady called ramona who checked us in was very freindly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The bit that let's down the hotel is lack of sound proofing. There's alot of rooms on each floor. The people above us every night at 2am started banging around. Every night through out it noises of a chair been dragged across the floor. I could hear the people next door talking so the walls aren't at all sound proofed . Because we got woke up every night and early in the morning

A fantastic hotel within walking distance of central Bergen. Although it's set back from the main road it was still easy to find. Check in was efficient and friendly. Room was ultra clean, plenty of tea and coffee provided. Very comfortable bed, shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice and everything looked so fresh. Staff in the restaurant were super efficient and very friendly. The viewing lounge on 11th floor is worth a visit. We were even provided with a breakfast pack up as we were leaving for an early train. I can't fault anything and would certainly recommend as a place to stay in Bergen

First room was too small. A person of 1.8m height and above will not be able to comfortably sit on the toilet. This room also had some strange ticking sound that was continuous in the background and can be particularly heard in the night, so sleep was a bit disturbed. We requested a change of room and the service was impeccable. We really appreciated that. The second room was more spacious, and a bathroom with a bathtub meant that the toilet also had more space for standard level of comfort. Ticking sound was non-present. Much better sleep. Breakfast is incredible as reputable for Thon chains.

Perfect location for stay in Bergen, at the end of the wharf so it's a bit more quiet. Near museums and bus pick up, walking to restaurants and shopping. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and filling. Enjoyed spending an hour in the evening for wine or coffee in the lobby.

This hotel is in a great location, close to all the main attractions. Our room was spacious and had a nice little balcony. The breakfast was fantastic and had a ton of options. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted us in booking a cab to the airport. Highly recommend.

Great location, very close to the main attractions. Central but quiet. Our room was located next to the elevator, but we haven't heard any noise, so it seems to me that the soundproofing is good. Clean and modern rooms even though the rooms are pretty small. The breakfast is amazing. Very nice and helpful stuff. A comfortable, small lobby where you can help yourself with coffee, water and tea.

Good hotel with great breakfast and great location. We were staying four people in the room, that’s why we had an unfolded sofa-bed, so the room was a little small, but for two people it would be amazing.

Stayed there during June. Hotel rooms are relatively clean. Acceptable space. Hotel staff are very friendly. Location is a plus very close to city center and Airport shuttle bus station. Prices were relatively high for a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately the safe box was broken and was not fixed which seems strange

Ok location, but noisy hotel under the surface. The hotel is reasonably located near the main attractions. It was renovated around 5 years ago, and looks fairly modern inside. However none of those renovations must have addressed noise, as we were kept up several times by the rooms around and above us. Every footstep, moved chair, and flush of the toilet, could be heard. I would not recommend staying here for the price - pay just a little extra, and find a nicer hotel in Bergen.

The location is perfect - quiet steet in Byrgen - great place to start your journey in Bergen. The breakfast is good and service is great. The rooms are very tiny.

We only stayed here one night (our first night in Norway!) But it was a great experience. They got us a room earlier than our check in time (although we did end up waiting a bit because the room they had available when we walked did not have a view of the harbor). The room was very nice, and it is a great location, you can walk to most places you would want to visit in Bergen from the hotel. It is right next to a castle museum, so we went to that the morning after our stay there. But I just skipped a crucial point. Breakfast! The Breakfast buffet at this hotel far surpassed all the other hotels we went to (partially because it had the best tasting coffee!). There was a vast quantity of items that were very good. I loved that they had fried eggs in addition to scrambled eggs. I can't recap all the variety, but it was all good. Aside from the coffee, my favorite was the croissants which were perfect. We checked out and left our bags in their secured bag room to walk to pick up our Hertz rental car from a parking garage a ways away. If you are doing something similar, read all the reviews of the rental car pick up, it was the only reason we had a good experience with it 😂 When we returned for our bags, we just parked out front of the hotel. All in all, everything was extremely smooth.

Hotel is very convenient at the seaward end of the Brygge next to the castle. Easily walkable from the train or bus stations. Rooms are clean and comfortable, shower room was spotless. The breakfast is superb - easily one of the best we have tried. Great scrambled egg (preferred over the fried eggs), but bacon too crispy but not burnt for my taste. Fresh fruit and lots of different baked stuff, wide choice of bread, nice coffee and fresh juices. Waitress came round topping up coffee and with a tray of small biscuits she had just baked which was nice.

The rooms were a bit small, having stayed in same brand in Oslo. Also next to park for pop festival (last weekend Aug). Breakfast was very good. Decor a bit dark and over the top. Staff were very helpful. The hotel is on the other side of the wharff where most ferries dock, a fair walk from ferru if you have luggage

The room was what we expected. Clean, roomy, and safe. The location is great for sight seeing everything, but the best part is the breakfast! I have never seen a better breakfast at a hotel. So much selection and quality of food!

The actual hotel is ok, but parking is a nightmare. Also keep eyes on your belongings because some guests steal even phone charging cables if you leave it in the lounge. Be prepared to queue up if you want coffee for breakfast, because there's only 1 coffee machine there.

Love the Thon Hotels. Always stylish, fun, and fantastic breakfasts. Always great locations and fantastic staff as well. Front desk agent was nice enough to upgrade me as I wasn't keen on staying next to the elevator. Super quiet, clean and great views. They let me leave my suitcase there all day after check out while I did a Fjord tour. Can't wait to stay at another Thon hotel!

Very good hotel. The rooms were very clean, even though they were a little beat small. The breakfast was fantastic, with a big variety of food. The personnel were kind. I think that is a very good choice.

For the price, a great room and breakfast. Room was homey and up to date. More than just a white box and a bed. A short walk to the heart of the harbor area makes it quiet due to lower traffic volume. Walk towards the fortress and you will see it on the right side. Tucked behind an office bldg. Google maps was just a bit off. I liked the hotel a lot!

Fabulous staff, great location for town, really quiet room and we were on the front facing the road with a beautiful view of the water. The most amazing breakfast there was something for everyone and all fresh and tasty.

Overall stay was ok but a big paper bag with souvenirs went missing from our room after daily room cleaning service. We notified the hotel staff but were told that the items could not be found; to re-purchase them and send the receipts to the hotel. We did as told (losing a considerable amount of time on our last morning in Bergen; plus, some items were not purchasable anymore) and have just heard back from the hotel (without an apology) we now need to send the original receipts to them, and report stolen items to the police (! I am not in Norway anymore). I feel quite annoyed to be honest. We should have asked for a 1-night cost reimburse straight away (which would have covered the cost loss).

Multiple pillows for each guest was a welcome surprise!! A decent sized, clean, modern family room with good storage facilities. Throw in a tasty breakfast, friendly service and a hotel location which is a short stroll to the docks and the city centre makes for a happy experience.

Slept well through the night, breakfast was delicious and parking was effective and safe. I got a good workout by myself in the fitness room, you have to ask for the key at the reception. Only drawbacks were that the elevators were slow and the system they moved in were ineffective. Also that I could feel the springs in the bed I was sleeping on but other than that a wonderful place to stay just make sure to enter the town from the right direction because you can't pass through the center.

Great hotell! Nice and clean. The rooms are not the biggest, and maybe a little small, but has everything you would need, small fridge, great bathroom, etc. Quiet hotell with very friendly staff. The breakfast is really good! Even in Corona-times! The location is so perfect. Cause it's in sentrum but at the same time a very quiet place. We are staying here next time we are in Bergen for sure.

Perfect for a stay in Bergen. Don't let the outside look of the building scar you away, the inside is modern and comfortable. The rooms are well equipped, we had the chance to have windows with view on the port. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offered one of the best breakfast buffets for the price range, including dairy free milk option, fruit and vegetables, warm and cold meat, fresh bread and juices.

Nice and neat hotel. The best breakfast table I have seen in a hotel so far. Iron and board even in the smallest and cheapest room. Large multimedia TV with chrome cast. The shower facilities are a dream with fantastic water pressure. And then there is the staff, always polite and smiling.

Excellent location and service. Although the rooms are small (normal for European hotels) they make excellent use of space and give you all you need for a comfortable night and more. Nespresso makers are a nice touch.

Very good hotel, not far away from the restaurant and shopping center. Easy to find and go there. Nice service, good room, more space, big TV, refrigerator, dry iron, electric pot with coffee and tea. You can also get espresso at the lobby 24H. I very like 😊😁🇧🇻

Great hotel good location with parking options but practical in the centre of Old Bergen. Friendly staff. Great bedrooms just small bathrooms, but that seems to be normal in city locations.

Very nice hotel! Good location in city center. Well equipped room. Excellent breakfast buffet!👍 Friendly and helping staff. Good price. Just bear in mind that the biggest outdoor concert area in Bergen is the closest neighbor, so if you are in for a good night sleep in the concert season you might wanna check the concert schedule on Koengen / Bergen festning first

View from our window. Only stayed one night but there was only a little snow and rain, otherwise warm sunshine - a novelty for Bergen. The hotel was comfortable, breakfast great and very handy for the city centre and Bryggen.
