Hotel under new management stay away! This is the hotel straight out of the shinning. First night upon check-in the hotel is having system issues and thus are unable to issue key cards. If you needed access to your room you needed to go back to the front desk and wait for someone to escort you. The hotel breakfast was more of a gas station offering of bagels, muffins and gross coffee. I feel bad for the staff honestly it wasn't their fault that this new management company 'Sonder' has take over operations and has offered no support. I was there with a group of about 16, and none of us were able to get our room cleaned for the whole week, the whole freaking week! Not even our trash was emptied. As other reviewers have mentioned the rooms lack natural light, some face hallways, others face the atrium, I could overlook the design, but the lack of room amenities makes this hotel skippable. Lastly on day 2, someone came into my room and emptied my fridge contents, when I asked the front desk about this all they did was apologized but did not offer any sort of compensation. Go elsewhere honestly, not worth the 'affordable' price.

This hotel literally has no phone that you can call. Spent hours on the phone with 3 separate ppl at their corporate offices trying to get info about a stay. Each person ensured my that my messages were being relayed to the team on site yet when I arrived my room was not ready, house keeping was ā€œout for lunchā€ and none of my messages had made it to anyone working at the hotel. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry my whole life I cannot fathom running a business that literally cannot be contacted.

A Nightmare Experience: The Hotel From Hell! Review: Where do I even begin with my experience at this hotel? I can confidently say that this place deserves the title of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. From start to finish, it was an absolute disaster, and I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. First of all, let's talk about the front desk staff. They managed to make not one, not two, but several mistakes during my stay. To start, they charged my credit card incorrectly, leaving me with the hassle of sorting out the mess and dealing with the ensuing financial inconvenience. It's astonishing how they can be so careless and incompetent with something as sensitive as customers' payment information. But the incompetence didn't stop there. The AC in my room was malfunctioning, and I called the front desk for assistance not once, not twice, but three times. Each time, I was met with utter disregard and apathy. On the third call, the front desk person had the audacity to hang up on me without even attempting to resolve the issue. It was a clear display of their complete lack of professionalism and respect for guests. As if that wasn't enough, I decided to confront the front desk person face-to-face in the lobby, hoping for a resolution. Instead, they not only continued their unhelpful behavior but also had the nerve to shout at me in front of other guests. The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was simply unbelievable. It was an embarrassing and demeaning experience that left me feeling humiliated and disrespected. In summary, this hotel is an absolute disaster. From mishandled credit card charges to a malfunctioning AC and the worst customer service imaginable, they managed to excel in every aspect of delivering an atrocious experience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other hotels that prioritize their guests' comfort and satisfaction, unlike this one

The worst hotel experience I've ever had! Check in was painfully slow. They couldnā€™t find our reservation from months ago so they had to create a new one. We booked a room with a king bed but got a room with 2 full beds instead, the room had a window that opened onto the corridor not the outside so we had no natural light and no privacy from other guests if the curtain was open. The bathroom was the size of a broom closet, the towels just wiped water around and didn't absorb anything, the room had no dressers or hangers for clothes so everything sat in our suitcases on the floor, and the phone to the front desk didn't work. THEN OMG THEN, the ac broke, at the front desk there was a line of others with the same problem. When they tried to relocate us, they put people in rooms with other guests already in them or rooms that hadn't been cleaned. This went on from about 11:00pm to 1:00am. A staff person literally ran out of the place in tears. When we finally got a new room it only had 1 full bed, the sheets felt like vinyl shower curtains, and there was no sleep to be had. We cancelled the rest of our stay and left Boston a day earlier then planned because of this awful experience!

We are experienced global travellers and booked the Sonder Arcadian Brookline a few weeks before we left Australia - biooked for a 2 week stay. When we arrived in the US we tried calling the hotel to see if we could check in early. That experience was terrible as we simply could not contact anyone. Tried for 30 mins. We were eventually told that the hotel had been taken over by a new group and so you had to contact then via an app. No way... Anyway, we arrived (nervously) early and found the hotel to be pretty good. we were met at Reception by James - nice guy who looked a "Little" surprised and concerned when we told him about our experience trying to contact the hotel - he apologised though and we just left it there. James was super nice, explained the hotel and services and checked us in early. The room was just fine for an older style hotel that had been given a quick makeover recently (we know this as we are designers and noticed the recent work that was done) - mostly cosmetic - FF&E, curtains, tap-ware, paint, lighting etc. It looks like who ever bought the building had a strategy to do a quick makeover to get it up and running with a view to further works down the road. Perfectly reasonable approach - (and the style is contemporary/warehousey/light hip). BUT! They really should have dealt with the initial contact and access service first as it really did set us up to be disappointed. First impressions count! Anyway, James and the front desk team saved the day! breakfast was included, fridge in the room - which was big - 2 rooms. Great Bed, USB ports everywhere, 2 TV's, nice lighting, blockout blinds, great view, excellent location and a decent gym - although it could use a light service of some equipment and A/C needs attention. The room itself had the slightest slightest smell of smoking - not a big deal as we just set up an oil diffuser and all was good (Maybe schedule regular carpet deep cleaning room by room until new carpets can be installed) Overall - GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY! But SONDER!! Give James and his colleagues a break!! Give them direct phone access to guests prior to check in! If you don't attend to this immediately you will have to fight your way back to getting regular good reviews - and.. you might lose James (I know I would no want to have to put out unnecessary fires when guests turn up). Anyway, a great place and I am happy to recommend it. Good work by the onsite team!

This place is designed like a labyrinth, where your final destination is a hostel like area that looks like a prison block. Your rooms are within the outer walls of the building and your windows open up to the hallways. A/C seems like a very consistent problem(as it was with us) so reading these reviews I really hope they get it fixed permanently. Wasn't the worst stay ever but it truly does feel like there is a lack of effort in keeping this place maintained to an acceptable standard for the price. On a positive note; the rooms looked nice and the beds were pretty comfy too

This hotel recently opened under new management and is a wreck! We had reservations that were totally paid for when we arrived. They couldnā€™t find our reservation or proof of our payment. They did find us a room but made us pay again and left it totally up to us to try and get a refund from Expedia, which we were able to do. People at the desk were all in training, doing their best, but were lost and had no idea how to help us. The thermostat in our room didnā€™t work so we were unable to adjust the room temperature, which was stuck on 83 degrees. The breakfast has no hot items, cereal, danishes, and breakfast bars were provided. This hotel is nothing special. We certainly expected more for the price we paid.

The place could be very nice with a few fixes: 1) some hot food for breakfast, even comfort inn serves eggs. 2) everything needs fixing and cleaning. The toilets barely flush and clog frequently, the garage door gets stuck constantly and we had to call the front desk every time we wanted to park to send a guy to open it. The last guests spilled coffee on the rug, it was still wet, no one cleaned it, even after we asked several times.

The Arcadian Hotel Brookline FEELS like it could be a modern, sleek, snazzy hotel, but sadly it's the equivalent of throwing a new coat of paint on a 200 year old house. It's like they did this whole remodel, but somewhere along the way, they ran out of money and just shrugged and said "good enough!" For instance, our room had a small "closet", but there was no closet rod or HANGERS. Like...we couldn't hang clothes up. I've literally never stayed in a hotel that you couldn't hang clothes up. We also couldn't put clothes away, because the room didn't have a dresser. No coffee machine, no fridge, and a small shower that you had to step over the toilet to get into. The thing is, apparently some of the rooms do have hangers, coffee machines, and full sized tubs. I'm not sure why they rooms aren't standardized, but again, it seemed like they just ran out of remodel money at some point. If you stay here, make sure you're getting a room with standard hotel things, like, you know, a place to store the things you've brought.

The Arcadian Hotel could have been a great experience: 1. If the room cleaning was not optional The room was really clean when I got there, it was amazing. But that is it. During the 6-day stay they never cleaned it once. You have to pay for it extra. 2. If the pressure of the water in the shower was enough. The pressure was so low that it took almost 5 minutes to get wet properly. I called the hotel team via app, they responded that it was more than enough. 3. If the breakfast could offer more varieties. Bagels, croissants, apples and bananas. At least the menu could have been first quality. Cream cheese spread and butter also. 4. If the croissants and bagels (almost everything in the breakfast menu) were fresh Pastries (the only thing to eat) were not fresh and needed to be warmed up in the toaster or microwave oven. 5. If the room had a wardrobe or there were at least one hanger in the room to hang my suit Nothing. You have to be creative to find a solution. The rooms in the middle corridor have no view of outside or whatsoever. That may feel a little claustrophobic for some people. It was quite though. The personnel at the front desk were friendly. Great walking distance. Near the train station. Friendly neighbourhood.

It's an good hotel for location, not far from Boston U and is close to T train. Pastries are good in morning for complimentary breakfast. Only one elevator, so be prepared to wait awhile to go up or down The amenities are a minimum in room. No small fridge and no drawers for clothes. The service is slow too. Overall it's about 2.5-3 star hotel.

At face value, it looks great but once you check in it goes downhill. Check in process is a bit confusing for some which led to a pretty long wait just to have my ID checked and to be handed a key. Only one elevator which is painfully slowā€¦ not a big deal but was a bit inconvenient during busy hours so we ended up just taking the stairs most of our trip. The room itself was quite bad - broken lampshades, hole in the bathroom door, and the curtains were falling off the track so they were unusable. For a four person room they only provided 2 towels. Waited about 30 minutes after requesting them through the app (because there is no other way to contact hotel staff?) before just going to the front desk and getting them ourselves. Location is great and there are plenty of food options which is good considering the hotel breakfast was picked clean by 10am and the ā€œvending areaā€ was just an ice machine. Better off at a Marriott for these prices!

We booked this hotel via VRBO. Got a good rate. I was worried, however, AFTER I started reading reviews here. But we stayed at the Arcadian and I want to share my HONEST review. Let's start with good....the location is awesome. a little over a mile to Fenway. The Green Line C train is just outside the front door of the hotel on Beacon. Can't beat that. Trader Joe's, CVS all about 1/2 a mile away. A beautiful area...lots of people...lovely apartment buildings. The hotel itself was clean and well appointed. The room was also clean, nice beds, nice bathroom, nice TV. As others have noted, there's no hot breakfast. BUT...there were nice pastries, good coffee, bagels, oatmeal, fresh apples and oranges. It was decent. Fresh. But no protein of any kind. If you want just a little something to get you going, it's fine. They did NOT clean the room each day but this is NOT unusual any more. LOTS of hotels don't. and not just low-end hotels. I've been in Marriotts where I have to REQUEST daily service. So having them NOT service the room was not a big deal to us. In the end, our stay was worth the money we paid. I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Now...the bad. Nothing that TO ME was horrendous. A few eyebrow raisers but nothing that made me think "worst hotel ever." Oh no....I've BEEN in THAT hotel...and it was NOT the Arcadian. BUT....a few odd things. Our room did have a smell. Nothing disgusting...just....."there." but, we became "nose blind" after 10 minutes if that. The pillows...ugh. I'm old so I need my pillow but these were just tooooo soft. I do NOT know why hotels don't provide at least ONE harder pillow. Our check in was fine but CLEARLY something is changing at the hotel. They had really fancy check in equipment but none of it was being used. It seemed almost like they management decided that "high tech" check in was a bad idea. Not sure. Took a LITTLE while to check in but nothing I'd complain about. the hotel has two sections...a 6 story area and then a very long one story area. It seems like this was a factory at one time maybe? We were in the office section of that building while there were rooms in the factory floor section. The room was nice. But one thing they did not have was any place to put or set clothing. There IS an "alcove" where they suitcase stand is....and there are hangers there...but no hanger rod. Which is weird. Hangers but no hanger rod? But there's also no chest of drawers or even a night stand with drawers. So....my son and I basically put our clothes in a pile on a small shelf or on the floor. It's just a weird deal. And a bad decision by the designers. People need a place to put their stuff. There IS a desk....but you're not going to use it to put your clothes. The room has a fridge so that's nice. One thing I did NOT care for was that the hotel had no mini-mart of any kind. And no soda machines. So...if you wanted a late night snack or a cold drink.....you had to walk to get it. So THAT was a little annoying. I mean...you can't sell sodas and chips? Heck, even Econolodge has a soda machine. Last thing....there is a LOVELY HUGE space where there WAS a bar. It looked like it could have been pretty cool. But it was NOT operational. when did they stop? I don't know. Couldn't have been too long ago because there's a sign saying "24 Hour Marketplace and Espresso Bar." Nope. This does NOT exist. So.....it APPEARS that the hotel is undergoing some changes. TO ME, it felt like the owners had a cool vision but now they are backing off. Which is unfortunate, it's a nice hotel in a great location with terrific opportunities....but....the execution is wanting. If you want a nice room at a good price AND you can keep your expectations in-check, I think it's an ok hotel. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. Give me a firmer pillow, a market, and a place to put my stuff and you'll get 4.

Check in was not good, almost an to get in to a room and they didn't actually check me in. They could not figure out how to do a walk in reservation so after 50 minutes they just gave me a key and said we will figure it out later. Fast forward an hour, they must not have figured it out (or forgot they gave me the room) because there was someone trying to get in to my room. Another hour later I get a phone call from someone with a really heavy accent claiming to be with the hotel asking for my credit card, obviously I said no. Something fishy going on here, pretty sure they are selling your personal information. I can't really blame the desk agent she obviously had not been trained very well. Don't open a hotel before your systems are up and running and the employees are adequately trained. Oh and they wanted my birth date, they said it was to create an account, not gonna happen.

We had a pretty terrible stay, which involved changing rooms 3 different times. First room the AC wasn't working, the floor was wet, and some outlets didn't work. Second room had a leaking sink. Third room the shower wouldn't drain. Fourth room was finally fine. Even at that, the rooms are pretty bare-bones -- there aren't any drawers to put clothes in, the "closet" space is tiny and with only a couple of hangers, and beds are only so-so. For what it's worth, the front staff were accommodating and gave us a partial refund, but I couldn't recommend staying here until they get their maintenance figured out.

We stayed here because we went to a show @ Paradise Rock Club and wanted to be able to walk to the venue. I would never recommend my friends stay here. We were in an "interior" room, meaning no windows to the outside at all (the pic they put on their website is a little misleading. These rooms are dark.). The first room they put us in had a broken A/C, but we got into town so late that we just suffered through the night in a muggy gross room with stale gross air. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, either (not great!). They moved us to a room with working A/C for the 2nd night, which made a big difference. Way less gross, but still no exhaust in the bathroom so it wasn't 100% not gross. Those interior rooms are like a super fancy Russian prison cell because you only see the sunlight through a skylight in the common area, and the toilet might as well be in the middle of the room. But I'm pretty sure they have vodka in Russian prisons whereas the Arcadian lacks a liquor license. I don't think they have a kitchen, either (not sure if Russian prisons do, either). The beds were comfortable! Never coming back.

Really weird little place but honestly we loved every minute. Only a handful of rooms actually have an outside facing window. Most of the windows aim twords the inside (and you can see your neighbors door) or the lobby/communal area (where you can see other hotel people gather around for breakfast and what not. Very strange but Iā€™m always down to try something new. The continental breakfast was above average since they were featuring locally made pastries. Website says they have a bar inside but donā€™t bet on that. This hotel is a ā€œminimal stayā€ in the sense that they had EXACTLY what one might need for an extended weekend, but not much past that (exactly what we were looking for). The staff went above and beyond and helped us get a later check out time free of charge, as well as free luggage storage on our last day. This allowed us to check out and explore Boston some more without having to lug around suitcases. There is a metro-trolley on the green line of the T directly outside the apartment that goes through Back Bay, Boston Common, and Downtown. No more than a 25 minute ride. Very convenient if youā€™re looking to stay a bit outside of the city! Thank you to the Arcadian for a fantastic stay! Weā€™ll absolutely be back soon!

Avoid staying here! While the location is amazing and the staff is nice, this hotel is terrible. When we arrived very late due to our flight being delayed, we could access our room because the lock wouldn't work (the staff even tried their master key). We booked a king room with a window and ended up in a double room with no window that had a tiny bathroom with hair still gathered on the floor. Instead of the staff taking care of getting us to our booked room the next day they asked us to continually check in with them to see about getting a new room (which, we were on a trip... we are not going to be at the hotel at all hours trying to sort our room situation - that's their job). I checked in multiple times but they couldn't move us to another room that day. They asked us to check back the following morning and said they would comp the first night and refund the room cost difference for the 2nd night. Fine. We finally got the King room for the 3rd and 4th night - it had a wet spot in the middle of the floor and the fridge didn't work. Also, this hotel is a city block long and the signs don't line up to the rooms, so it's difficult to find certain rooms and if you are at the far end of the building (which we nearly were) you have to walk basically a city block to get there). After not receiving my promised refund, it took multiple contacts to the hotel and the booking site to get $175 refund (out of the almost $500 refund I was initially promised). What a joke. This hotel design is terrible, they don't honor their promises, and they don't know anything about actual hospitality. I don't want to disparage the on site staff (they were really nice and they aren't the ones not giving me the refund), but I recommend avoiding this place if you can.

We read a bunch of poor recent reviews before booking but decided to take a chance anyway, and ended up really enjoyed our 2 week stay. First, what we care most are clean and comfortable bedding, towels, and room furnitures. they had all of that like a 4 start hotel. The hotel looks like had been renovated in recent years and are very clean throughout. The problems people pointed out are mostly true. Air conditioner didn't work right away, once someone came over to show us how to reset it, it worked throughout they way, but you need to reset it a couple of times a day. No hot breakfast which we didn't care, The variety of fancy pastries are what we preferred anyway. No room service by default, which we also didn't mind. It saves environment and you don't have to make sure everything is at the right place for room service before running out of the door in the morning. They switched management recently, so the whole software changed I imagine. The easiest is to use the app to request for service if you want a response quickly/surely. Staffs are all very nice. What we didn't expect is it has pretty big lobby with nice sitting areas, and multiple sitting areas in the hallway with external light which I always thought more hotels should have. So if you need a quiet a place to work / have meeting when traveling with families, it is very convenient. Some rooms don't have external facing windows. We made sure ours do and so that wasn't a problem for us. Location is top notch with short walk/ride to center of boston & medical centers and lots of great places to eat nearby.

Our stay at the Arcadian was awesome we stayed 3 nights. We loved the lobby, it was spacious and had had a cool atmosphere. The breakfast was great and saved us time and money. Also the staff were super friendly and informative. The train/troller station is right in front of the hotel and it was perfect. Rooms were clean and we never had an issue with cleaning service because the hotel has plenty trash bins around to dispose of your own trash. We would love to stay again thank you

We stayed here 4 nights. Disappointing at best. 1. Despite the claim on the Sonder website that the hotel is ā€œprofessionally cleanedā€ and despite the line item on the invoice from the hotel stating that housekeeping was no additional charge, the room is not cleaned every day. We couldnā€™t even pay extra to have the room serviced- we were told it was not an option. At $500 per night, daily housekeeping should be included. 2. The room smelled bad, there was no ventilation and the air conditioning ran very loudly but didnā€™t work properly. We stayed in mid October and kept the thermostat at 18.5. It was really hot in the room and consequently difficult to sleep. Iā€™m writing this review at 2:41am because I canā€™t sleep. We couldnā€™t crack a window. We are on the third floor and the windows are sealed shut. 3. The toilet leaked. We had them fix it the first day. Maintenance showed up hours after we asked, multiple times, for it to be fixed. There was water all over the floor. They ā€œfixedā€ it. We had to ask multiple times for the floor to be cleaned again and it took hours. The housekeeping staff did not speak English and spoke to us in Spanish as though we should understand them. We donā€™t take Spanish in Canadian public school, so communicating that we needed more than fresh towels (we needed all the toilet water cleaned up!) was challenging. 4. We bought a bottle of wine to drink in our room. They didnā€™t have wine glasses to borrow. 5. Very far from absolutely everything to do in Boston. 6. Stairwell smells very badly. 7. Carpets and drapes in hotel room need through cleaning. 8. Bathroom is very small. No fan to clear humidity from shower. Overall, and especially when you consider the price, this is one of the worst hotels Iā€™ve ever stayed in in my 50 year life. We definitely do not recommend and we will never stay in a Sonder property again due to this experience.

Hotel has great potential, but they really need to work on several issues. Stayed there from Oct 26-Nov1. Had several problems with keys not working both at room door and garage. The breakfast is all sugar. Pastries and bagels. The lady that usually helps at breakfast had such a bad body odor that you could smell it thru the mask Room is only clean upon request. The lady that brought clean towels and toilet paper had a horrible attitude. Parking was a pain since you had to go all around to the back since hotel is still under construction Entrance looks nothing like the picture. Demetrius at front desk was excellent. He tried to help as much as he possibly could with several issues. I don't think I would stay there again

Spent 5 nights here on a business trip. The ambience is light and peaceful. Great location and metro station was literally visible from my window, in 15 mins you can be in the downtown. Housekeeping was great with daily fresh sheets & towels and my room had a great view of St Paul intersection. Although they are pretty slow in service. I asked for a toothpaste thrice but never got one! Employees at the reception are mostly trainees kind of but are warm in addressing. I had a situation where I could only pay in cash, which I was denied in a chat before I started my trip which disturbed some of my plans. But upon reaching there, they said they also accept cash. Good for me. They have a beautiful lobby area where you can chill out if you're feeling like. Breakfast included danish, muffins, coffee, flakes, donuts etc. Starts to get monotonous after a couple of days, and at times did not feel that fresh.

This is just a perfect place to stay. Room was clean, comfortable (ice machine on 3rd floor). The service was fantastic!!! All very friendly and super helpful. Very prepared to make our experience just perfect. The location is amazing (Green Line is literally few steps away) It takes you Downtown in minutes. The lobby is cozy and we even stayed there for longer just relaxing and having beer at the bar! All you need is just there along Beacon Street! We'll definitely stay at Arcadian again and strongly recommend!!!!

Stayed here for 4 nights while moving my son to Boston! Clean rooms, simple but good coffee and breakfast! Cereal, pastries, toasted bagels, muffins all were fresh and good for early breakfast! Housekeeping every day if you want, or just freshen up! All staff were pleasant. Lobby was comfortable with TVā€™s all around. Walk to plenty of restaurants and the Green Line T was right in front for easy travels to the city. Parking garage was the best, easy in/out! I got the parking package with my room and it was well worth it with no hassles! Price points were fair even with the 30$ ā€œfacilityā€ charge daily! That was worth it to me for this place! One small thing was the air conditioner is very finickyā€¦.. very cold in the room to start but one degree adjustments every 10 minutes and I got to my desired temperature!! Great place in great location in Brookline!

Stayed at this hotel in early Nov. Hotel has clearly been renovated with care to create an attractive & clean aesthetic. They are trying to introduce new technology, such as contactless check-in. Completely see where they are headed and will be awesome when all the kinks are worked out. Staff was accessible and helpful. Perfect location with ease of access to the T and Boston University. Would absolutely stay here again when I'm in the area. Thought it was great value for a competitive price in the area.

Arcadian was in a very convenient location. About 20 min walk from Agganis and Fenway Park and across the street from the green line. There were bars and restaurants within walking distance. Having a parking garage was very convenient. Everyone who we interacted with at the Arcadian was welcoming, kind, and helpful. The lobby was really nice and we were in a large group with 2 rooms and we would hang in the lobby and play games, drink at the bar and it was really nice. The continental breakfast was great! We did have an issue with our key cards not working. In 3 days we had to change our keys out about 3 times. We also had an issue with the air conditioning but they came quickly to fix it. The bathroom did have some ants, and can use an updating. Rooms also did not have mini fridges so everyday we had to go to the lobby to purchase water and soda. At the end of the day, for the price it was convenient.

Enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is right on the street and near a T stop. Which makes it very convenient to get around. We even watched some football in the lobby! Definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very clean. Beds were super comfortable and the curtains blocked all the light I have not slept this well in years. We stayed 9 days and the staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating . The lobby was very large and very well appointed . My family and myself enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to returning in the future.

We wanted to stay close to friends and Fenway and this hotel was a great location. We had stayed here before when it was under different ownership. My wife, daughter and I stayed three nights. The staff was friendly. The hotel is currently under renovation. While I appreciate that during this difficult time for the hotel, guests have to be more patient and accept that hotels are trying to operate in a difficult environment. However, the hotel does not deliver what it promises. The web site says they have a fitness center that is open 24/7. The truth is the ā€œfitness centerā€ is under construction and not open at all. This was highly disappointing and had I known this, I would have stayed elsewhere. When we noted at checkout that we felt it was dishonest for them to advertise a fitness room when they donā€™t currently have one, the response was ā€œto bad.ā€ In addition, our bathroom was tiny, the toilet only a foot or so off the floor and getting into and out of the shower was not easy. The bathroom light switch is not in the bathroom, itā€™s in the bedroom. Every time someone enters and exits the bathroom, the entire bedroom lights up as you have to open the bathroom door to turn the light on/off. The walls are thin and we heard our neighbors and other guests always walking past our room. The breakfast contained few healthy choices and only apples and old oranges. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy but this hotel is not ready to be fully operational and they ought to be clear about that. Next time, Iā€™ll stay half a mile away at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Absolute steal for what we paid. We bought 3 nights in December for about $100/night. Perhaps the best part was that they let us keep our luggage there after we checked out for free!!! We had an 8pm train out, so we kept our stuff there from check out until 7pm for free. It was a life saver. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. It felt very homey thanks to that. Thanks to its location next to the green line we might as well have been downtown, if the line isn't under construction, that's how easy it is. The line was actually down at the time we visited, but I'm definitely coming back due to the location.

Decent, cheaper little hotel on Brookline. The welcome staff was very nice, and they held our bags until check-in with no issues. Once we got to the room, it was very clean, but it was pretty small. The bathroom had one small sink, and the shower was sort of crammed in the corner. The shower liner didn't completely fit the spot it was in, so there were spots of the old brick showing. It's not a huge deal. The bed was very comfortable, but the air conditioning was extremely loud to the point that it woke us up multiple times in the middle of the night. There was NO WINDOW in the hotel room, which was sort of eerie. The breakfast is ok. Cheap bagels and pastries, coffee, and cereal. Nothing out of this world. The green line is right near the hotel and it is within walking distance of some nice restaurants and shops.

We love the open inner courtyard feeling. Rooms are very nice and clean. Location is excellent. The hotel is renovated and the breakfast area is ample for social distancing.

Things you need to know about the guest rooms before booking. (Mine was on the ground floor) 1. The lighting is very bad. One "flood" light above the door. And three desk lamps. 2. The window looks out into the hallway. 3. The toilet is very low to the ground. 4. The room wasnt turned down. The check in procedure is the worst. You have to upload your I.D. card, a credit card and a selfie scan of your face onto their app to check in. Only to find out when you get to the place you have to give them your i.d. to check in. Otherwise the bed was comfortable. Sheets and room was clean and the hotel is in a nice neighborhood. Staff was very polite. The hotel served my purpose of a place to sleep, rest and wash up while on vacation. It was also walking distance to a concert venue I was there for.

A really nice hotel that could be greatly improved with just a few small touches. For example, in the rooms there is body wash, shampoo and conditioner but no other toiletries such as lotion or q-tips. Another small issue is that with breakfast (which is only cold things), there is just regular milk offered when so many people now use soy or oat milk. Lastly, the hotel feels strangely abandoned (even though the employees are very nice) because there is a bar, where it says you can get espresso in the morning and drinks in evening, but never anybody there to serve you. Small things to nitpick but they could really change the vibe of this hotel.

Very enjoyable stay. Staff was exceptional. Best overall I've experienced. Nice large comfortable lobby and bar. Very clean modern decor. Comfortable room. Secure parking is always a plus. Only surprise was no refrigerator in the room. I saw one out in the hallway when leaving to checkout so perhaps it's upon request? But in this case it wasn't a deal breaker if I'm back in town because all else was great.

Stayed two nights with no working ac in the room. Went and complained and some one came up looked at the thermostat and said put shoes on the u it to block the curtains. The room was between 73-76 entire visit

Good: Beds are comfy. Rooms have been renovated. Bathrooms are nice ā€œishā€. Bad: The WiFi is atrocious. I wouldnā€™t want to be here as a business traveler. Not bad value but not great value. Location to green line is clutch. Essentially a quick place to get sleep for a night before moving on.

The Arcadian was an amazing value. The space was very nice and clean. Staff were extremely accommodating. They provide manual keys for Sabbath observers. The large, lobby/common area was comfortable and great for family gathering. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I go to Boston.

A very interesting hotel. The rooms are quiet, and the hotel is at a quiet but nice neighbourhood. A few things are worth noting: * They do not have room service but they have an app * You can use a Google TV Chromecast to watch movies etc * They have a lobby opened 24 hours a day but they do not have an attached restaurant although the neighbourhood has several restaurants that you can check out * Google maps is wrong how you can reach the hotel from the airport. Here's how to do it: take the blue line from the airport and change to Green Line at the Government Centre. Boston's public transit system is excellent if you can figure it out, takes a while, :-), so reaching the hotel is really inexpensive or may even be free if you are prepared to take the public transit but otherwise can be expensive. * Their check in time is 4 PM and use their app (you need a relatively newer model phone to install) It's a nice, quiet, clean hotel. Recommended.

Hotel is clean and close to easy public transport. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included but no restaurant for other food. A short walk to Coolidge Corner to restaurants, or a train into Boston. Recommend booking dinner at restaurants, the ones we tried were busy and seldom had room for walk-ins. Rooms can be serviced on request, the hotel provides plenty of towels. Bed large and comfortable. My only disappointment was the noise from guests in rooms on either side of mine. As there was a connecting door between my room and both of the other rooms I could easily hear conversations, music and TV - doors don't block sound as effectively as walls. As my neighbours on both sides were very noisy until 3am I didn't have much sleep first two nights until they left. Finally, if you are attending an event at Agganis Arena it's a short and very pleasant walk from the hotel and felt safe even late at night.

What a wonderful hotel! We came in to a warm welcome and check in was a breeze. The "junior" suite (603) is huge! Poofy, comfy bed, bedroom not so big but comfortable. Bathrooms are clean, as is the entire hotel. Lobby is modern and appealing. Most importantly, the staff are WONDERFUL. Thank you Brian and Muhammad!

Recent reviews had us a little nervous but we had a great stay, zero issues. Fast check-in, friendly people, nice, updated rooms and the AC worked great. Room 209 has a big window that lets in lots of light. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom is due for an update so I took one star off, but otherwise, a great stay and we would come back.

Great location - next to green line, walking distance to many restaurants. Clean rooms, good breakfast selection (thank you for having non-dairy milk available), very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Negatives - in room coffee maker didn't work, double beds are very small, ice not on every floor, loud ac/heat (only occasionally).

Staff was very friendly, very cute hotel. The ac in our room didnā€™t work. The entire time we had it set to 68 because it was so hot and the room stayed at 80 degrees the entire time. They had someone come ā€œfixā€ it but nothing changed. It got to the point I had to ask them if they had box fans for our room because it was too hot to be in. The room also didnā€™t have a microwave or mini fridge so we can keep some things in the room.

We stayed at the Arcadian Hotel Brookline last week for 7 nights and had a wonderful stay. Iā€™d recommend this place to anyone planning to go to Boston. We had an issue with our King bed room (the A/C didnā€™t work correctly), and after two nights, we requested to be moved to another room. Demetrius was VERY helpful in accommodating our request. He put us in a King Suite, room 404, which was a corner room on the same floor. Now we had suite with a great view of the street intersection of St Paul & Beacon. Coolidge Corner is a short walk away. It offers many restaurants and shopping opportunities. A Trader Joe's is there too which was quite useful for us. Here is a summary of the positive and negative aspects of our stay: Positive: Location - The location is in Brookline. The St Paul T stop on the Cleveland Circle Green line was right outside the hotel. This made getting around a snap. Friendly staff ā€“ we were greeted both when we left and when we returned. They were also very helpful. Complimentary continental breakfast from 6:30 ā€“ 10:30 in the lobby. Large and welcoming lobby for eating. A microwave is available 24 hours. Lots of places to charge media devices. Nice clean rooms Fitness Center was available Negative: Slow elevator No safes in the room No drawers to put our clothes in. This was a bit inconvenient since we stayed there for a week. No room service available. Not an issue for us but others might want to know this. No pool (despite what Maps says) If you choose to stay here, Iā€™d suggest asking for a room with a street view unless you want to view the lobby where people eat breakfast and gather. Overall, our stay was marvelous and Iā€™d recommend this place to others. Photos include the Hotel from the Inbound T Stop, the Intersection of St Paul and Beacon from room 404 showing inbound and outbound T Stops, and the lobby.

Although we had some issues with the original rooms (some had hot water issues), the Manager on duty sorted this by upgrading us to the tower units. The hotel is clean, friendly and accommodating staff and is situated in a good area. Close to most universities and public transport available across the road. Comfortable staynfor business or leisure.

**Buyer beware** This hotel does a fantastic job of giving off the appearance of a hospitable, newly renovated hotel but wow was I disappointed. A few notes: 1. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in your room. 2. The thermostat does not work at all. You have no control over your room temperature. 3. The phone doesnā€™t work in our room. The toilet seems like itā€™s going to fall apart and the shower is a slip and slide (there is no tread padding on the floor of the shower, so brace yourself). 4. The 1200 bar is ONLY open if a coworker doesnā€™t keep the key to the bar when she goes home! So much for hospitality and correcting your mistakes as an employee (side noteā€¦ donā€™t expect a bar tender. The front desk worker we got while nice, seemed bamboozled at her job and couldnā€™t open the bottle of wine bc she didnā€™t know how to). 5. The continental breakfast doesnā€™t open at 0600. They start setting up at 0600. Finish around 0640. We will never come back again. I would suggest looking at other hotels prior to selecting this one.

Incredibly friendly staff. Very nice to work with, accommodating and super helpful. Steve is the man! Thank you. The hotel has a beautiful inside, sleek and mid-century modern furnishings. Bedrooms were clean and the beds were actually pretty good.

I travel frequently, my wife even more so, and we've stayed at lots of hotels. This was our first time staying here and I absolutely loved it. From the complimentary hot chocolate (with a variety of fixings) in the lobby to the delicious breakfast offerings at the complimentary breakfast, not to mention the extremely nice and comfortable beds, and ample and secure parking garage adjacent to the property. The lobby is spacious with a variety of carve out areas for privacy with big TV's everywhere. I think what I was most surprised by was the fact that their housekeeping staff came by EVERYDAY to clean/refresh the room. This is something that I thought had gone by the wayside in hotel stays, but not here. And, ALL of the staff that I interacted with were super pleasant; I got the impression that this is a great place to work as well as stay. I will be coming back to Boston twice before the new year and will definitely look forward to staying at the Arcadian Hotel Brookline !

Nice hotel. Very modern and clean. We had a great stay here. Location is pretty good for Brookline because you are closed to many dining options and not far from Boston downtown. We parked at a meter spot which was perfect for staying on a Saturday night into Sunday night because of free meter parking on Sundays. There were plenty of spot to park for meters. Nice and clean room. Bed was comfy. It came with free breakfast but we didnā€™t wake up for it. The lounge is nice. Has a microwave in the lounge with plastic utensils which i was able to reheat my left over dinner. Nice coffee machine inside our room so i was able to make espresso on the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

The Arcadian is clean, well run and in an excellent location. The staff are helpful, thoughtful and kind. My only complaint is that the breakfast is not up to the quality of the facilities and staff. The breakfast was a cheap carb fest with a few pieces of fresh fruit and some boiled eggs hidden in the mix. If the breakfast was improved this hotel would attract a loyal base.
