Had a good meal at Talladega Grill friendly staff and fresh food made while you wait. The Frankfurters or as they say the NY hotdog was so good sausage done perfectly with that beefy taste. The Birria Tacos amazing meat tasty tender and flavour was on point. The only let down was the Tatter Tots you Pay R30 for ten little bites tasty but I was a bit disappointed on the amount for the price. Overall great staff and excellent food.

Halaal grill. The place was empty when we arrived, month end pay day tell tale signs of maybe a bad choice of an eatery. The menu is overpriced for the quality, expectation and portion size. As the saying goes....Good food takes time...this order was done superfast, I havnt finished taking my review pictures and the order was all done. I suspected that my smoked brisket loaded fries were not going to be good. The takeaway packet wasn't even warm when they handed it over. Small brown box in an extra large bag. I opened it in the parking and yes it ddnt look all that appealing. I was hoping for a "Diners, drive-in and dine" experience. Still hopeful, I tasted the brisket I ordered , it was cold, but how come? The next was the fries, cold as well, smothered in cold cheese sauce. Steers loaded fries beat this order. Definately a no no. I was eager to try this American oak smoked meal. So disappointed. Hope the owner knows.

Food was well prepared with good size portions. I ordered the smoked sliced brisket burger and a portion of the wings. The wings were spicy but I really enjoyed that. Hubby had a smoked chilli dog (this was AMAZEBALLS!!) definitely ordering 1 for myself the next time I go. And he also ordered a portion of chicken and waffles which was really good too. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Table was easily available. Parking was readily available as well.

Brisket burger and Milkshake is great. The smoked sausage is the better product. Loads of chips with every meal.

First time dining at Talladega and there are a plethora of delectable items to choose from. Tried the birria tacos and it was *chefs kiss*. The fall-apart tender and succulent meat, the flavors, combined with the guac and Consommé, utterly delicious.

Worst food truck experience. Do not trust their ‘serves 2’ ideology. Unless you’re a mouse. Paid R145 for the brisket nachos that ‘serves 2’. More like a snack for 1 and I’m not a big eater. Even after questioning whether they gave the correct portion their response was take what you get. Tasted good, but have definitely learnt a lesson. Will not be a repeat customer.

Good decor. Couldn't taste the smoke though. Made more flavorful meat on a Weber tbh. Food is smothered in sauce. It's not bad but gotta manage your expectations around good meat vs proper smoked ribs and brisket. Pricing is really good, got the combo with everything for R320 and that can definitely feed 2 people. Sausage was great but no smoke flavor there either. 2 star due to the lack of smoke and sauce overload. Edit : the brisket had some smoke flavor the next day. They smoking the meat but not nearly enough.

If you’re wondering if you should try them out? PLEASE DONT STILL THINK ABOUT IT, run and bring your entire family 😍😍😍 We were doing some Eid shopping and my family needed a quick bite because we wouldn’t make it in time to cook food. My family is very picky eaters but they wanted to try something new. We ended up purchasing the Burger Box (R290), as well as the Brisket and Sausage Box (R220) and let me tell you how good it was 😍 The Burgers are 15/10 (they give you so much chips which we loved by the way! But the burgers are so good you won’t even have space for the chips) The brisket 12/10 (It was so soft and succulent. Its so good with the coleslaw on bread/rolls for a midnight snack!) The cheese and jalapeño sausages 11/10 (It bursts with flavor and perfect for those who wants that extra kick!) The staff is really delightful and loved their service 9/10. The space is also well looks after and the bathrooms are clean as well 12/10. We will definitely be coming back after fast and it has a Dad/Uncle approval!

What a hidden gem. Food was so good we went back for seconds, definitely worth the price you pay a must try for meat lovers 👌

I have been hyped to try Talladega as it's an Halaal smoke house. However my experience was not up to the expectations. I had called in to query about closing times and how load shedding affects the establishment. I was told to come in and will be served as they operate during load shedding. I arrived and was immediately turned away and asked to leave as they will not be serving. I was really upset and disappointed and asked why I was told to come through then get turned away. The manager then came and said they can serve me. That's point number 1. The next issue was the food itself. The chips are absolutely disgusting and soaked in oil. It's like those cheap chips that are hollow on the inside with oil coated on the outside. No chips flavoring or anything of that sort. The portions of the burger as well are not value for money compared to other places I have eaten at in Cape town around the same price point. I would say the only thing that was redeeming about my experience was the thin slice of brisket on my burger. Other than that I would say this place is just overly hyped from people who haven't eaten at a better establishment.

The food was so delicious especially the wagyu smash and brisket burger and BBQ brisket burger, will definitely come back for more 🍔😋

I visited Talladega Grill on a Wednesdays evening with 2 friends, the place was quiet with just one group seated in the restaurant. We ordered the smoked meat platter which costed around R600 and included a spread of different smoked meats, coleslaw and Fries. Many may feel its expensive, but smoked meat is really a premium product and Talldega do it well. smoke not overwhelming, flavor was really good, food was hot and fresh and this meal served 3 grown men comfortably and we still had leftovers. Service was friendly and efficient.
