Breakfast was really good, with reasonable prices and generous portions. We had a lovely waitress serve us. The only instance where we felt we might have waited too long was when we had to pay. This is a lovely spot on the beach road of Sea Point, with views of the promenade. If you're lucky, you'll be able to watch the paragliders land across the street. Really chilled atmosphere with a 80s / 90s playlist.

What a great vibe! Great spot for summer. We really enjoyed our food, and they have a large variety of yummy cocktails. I did, however, struggle to justify paying R30 for a bottle of tap water, which tasted horrible.

Food was good! Service sucked! Went here for a Sunday brunch — just happened to be during load shedding so we had a few mimosas while we waited for the power to be restored. Was only about an hour. When the power was restored as 12 pm we were not allowed to order breakfast? When we asked we were told because they didn’t prep for breakfast as with no power the prepped food would go bad. Sorry but no, you don’t need to prep to make eggs man. We ordered lunch and the food was good. Service was slooooowwwww we continually had to flag our server down or get up and find him.

After an evening spent playing putt-putt in Seapoint, this was the perfect place to retire for supper. The candlelit interior created a peaceful atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The quinoa veg burger was good, although the taste of beetroot was too strong for my liking as I personally don’t like beetroot. The sweet potato chips were very good. This would be a lovely place to go for sunset (or any time of the day for that matter)

Best homemade ice tea I've ever had, and amazing breakfast! Great place to sit and look at the view (in my case, the Cape Town Marathon😄).

Really awesome spot. Great friendly staff. Dog friendly. Pleasant view across the road which is a bit noisy and you get the odd exhaust fumes.

Had the most amazing chicken strip, which they make themselves. Probably the best I have had. Lovely pieces of chicken perfectly crumbed and fried. Will be back

Came here for a date on Saturday. Place was absolutely packed. The service was utterly appalling and slow. Food and drinks took forever. We were brought no cutlery with our food. When waiter asked if we wanted cutlery I said yes and then none was brought for the duration of our meal. Atmosphere is festive and food pretty damn tasty. Overall, wouldn't choose to come here again by choice.

Update: Food poisoning! Initial drinks came quickly, and the setting was lovely. It's more of a local hangout than for the tourists, which is nice. The soccer game was on inside, and the setting sun over the beach was a great backdrop. Sadly service was slow - waited just over an hour for the appetizer, but at least when it came it came with the rest of the food and everything was tasty. The second cocktail must have been made by someone else, as it was the same order (their signature spritz) but the second one tasted off somehow, and not at all like the first one. I'd still go back, but make sure I had the time. Update: got horrible food poisoning which started about 8 hours after we ate, and led to a very bad day spent on the toilet with a bucket to deal with the aftermath coming from both ends. The only food which I didn't share with my partner was the salad, so I'd definitely stay away from anything not cooked to a safe temperature.

First time trying Rockpool...and will definitely be back We had the salmon bagel with cream cheese which was delish, together with freshly squeezed orange juice which was sooo good then we tried the 'skinny dip' cocktail which also didn't dissapoint,plus furbabys are welcome!😍

Very pleasantly surprised by how good the salads were! Roasted veg salad is excellent, as is the quinoa salad. Services could've been better but the place was packed - would definitely visit again, but on a weekday when it's less noisy.

Nice friendly place. The food was good and service was great. UPDATE: Went back for lunch. Pizza was amazing and the coffee was perfect. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Will be going back again. UPDATE 2: This year, 2023, the services were very poor. Took ages for drinks to arrive, but that was after a long wait to say they could not do a cocktail. Food was okay but not amazing this time. Very disappointed.

Had a pleasant time here. I don't know what to say was the most 5/10 place I've been to. If generic sea food restaurant was a thing I'd be this place, everything you except it to be The price you expect The waiters you'd expect it was very middling Which is not to say bad but it lacks anything interesting or orginal going on. Doesn't even have that classic sea side view that most sea food places aim for

I think location is the best thing about this place, with views of the sea and the promenade. It is a great spot, with reasonable prices considering its location. However the table and the menus felt sticky and dirty. I think there is a lot work to do with the general experience.

What a awesome laid-back experience, fun filled place, helpful and friendly staff. Outside you have a spectacular view of the ocean, inside you have a nice cosy atmosphere...food good and tasteful. Well done

Cocktails are great tasting but inconsistent. Service is slow at times but if the good bartender is there the cocktail mixes and flavours are great! Cocktail in the picture is my favourite one here (La Vie cocktail) but as mentioned the flavour is inconsistent.

What a vibe! I enjoyed one of the best nights out at Rockpool. We drank cocktails and ate pizza. I don't know if it was because I was two drinks in but the margarita pizza I ate was the best I've ever had! All the food and drink was excellent and the service was great. We brought a pack of cards which was a huge hit with us and surrounding tables. Definitely worth visiting for a great experience

Some of the best tapas and cocktails in sea point, the pizzas is also a real highlight, take note, they don’t take booking for tables of less than 10 people… so for a place this popular, be early, or get ready to wait (it is worth it).

It’s always a good idea to come to Rockpool, chilled vibes and great food, not to Mention affordable prices!! I always eat the same thing, chicken strips with fries!! Good portion and very delicious!! And they have a great a selection of wines too.
