Had a really amazing time! The band was awesome and had just enough crowd interaction. Food was truly amazing, I was however slightly disappointed by the fact that the starters was not the same amount in the plate when it was the same starters... Other than that it was a completely amazing evening

Came out for date night with hubby and as usual the meals never cease to please. Definitely 5 star food but the service by John was absolutely terrible when he disappeared on us for more than 35 minutes leaving us with dirty plates and an untidy table. My husband eventually had to find the manager and place our dessert order. Unfortunately this time delay caused our later plans to fall through

We were looking for a restaurant near to our hotel and found Pigalle. It was a bit difficult to actually access the restaurant as the entrance seems to be on a back street. I believe the owners were doing front of house - they were very friendly and welcoming, as were all of our waiters. The food was delicious with generous portions. They have live music and dance area. They only downside was it was very hot day and the a/c wasn’t working! Everyone was boiling.

We were looking for a restaurant with live music and Pigalle was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. A beautiful establishment, professional and friendly staff and delicious food. We enjoyed a seafood platter and ordered dessert to take away. Everything tasted amazing. It being a weeknight, the restaurant was not full but I believe one gets a different experience over the weekend. Highly recommended spot.

Overall a good ‘fancy’ meal. Oysters and steak were good. But we were then on a night with a big group that filled most of the dining room. They were all served at once by all hands which left us without service for about 20 minutes. The band was good but the big group gave the experience a bit of a cruise or wedding feel. Still, we had fun!

Just couldn't figure why the fuss over this restaurant. I've always seen pics & heard about it but 🤔. Deco needs an upgrade. Manager who "welcomed" us wasn't welcoming. Waiter went over & beyond but was limited by rules .. you can't deviate from your order placed up front so I had to substitute my cheesecake with an amarula but wasn't given a choice, I was given kalula. The music 🎶 sounded like a new year's eve party incl "Gimme hope Joanna". Sorry but I expected more. 😔

An exquisite dining experience. Food is second to none. Service is absolutely fantastic. The live music is beautiful and the atmosphere is truly special. Would highly recommend the Mozambican Prawn Curry. In fact, all of their seafood is great. Save this one for a special occasion.

First time at Pigalle's and it was SO lovely. Had a birthday party and the staff was so welcoming! The food was brilliant and looked fantastic. The live entertainment was so nice to be a part of. Never thought of going here but would definitely go again. Highly recommend.

I must admit that this was my first time at this restaurant and I was blown away. It's not your family restaurant like a spur but it's more of when you on a date night or wanting to be a bit more formal. We decided on having the 3 course meal and I have to say I enjoyed each and every meal. Starters were grilled calamari. Main was a lamb shank and for dessert my wife went with the creme brulee and I had the chocolate mousse. The food was delicious and there was some entertainment for the guests. At the time we were there, there was a 50th birthday party so the restaurant is big enough for a special occasion. Overall I would recommend anyone who wants to have a wonderful evening with delicious food to make a booking

We were there celebrating a dear friend and her mothers birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. From the moment we arrived, till we were showed to our table and even when our waitor came to greet us it was beautiful. I appreciated feeling valued and not like just another person entering the restaurant. The place was absolutely beautiful, the vibe was stunning and oh the band 👌👏👏. We danced the night away hehe. Would i go there again, DEFINITELY and I would for sure recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, Pigalle exceeded our expectations as we were last here about 15 years ago. The restaurant has grown and improved and is more stylish, elegant and beautifully set out than before. The restaurant has a live band playing jazz style music and there is a dance floor to dance the night away. The food was delicious and hearty portions at an affordable price. We have booked for a second night before we head back to Johannesburg

Great ambiance, the live band was exceptional. The venue is well decorated. Good family dinner destination - very much felt like a family reunion/get-together vibe Food was decent, seafood seems to be the specialty - the shellfish was a bit overdone and very chewy. Convenient parking complex Some additional A/C would be beneficial, the venue does tend to get too hot.

A few months ago, I missed my chance to visit Pigalle, but now when I visited Cape Town, my best friend made reservations for us, and well, I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere, service, food, and ambiance are excellent. We opted for the 3 course meal menu instead of a la Carte menu. It was a great choice. The live music is an added benefit, perfect for dress up and date nights.

Stunning resturant with great food. So much bigger than you expect. The live music and dance floor are great. The sound overall is a little too loud and makes conversation at dinner difficult. Great seafood prepared well. Prices are on the higher side but it is ideal for a fancy meal or to celebrate an occasion.

Food is absolutely divine!

Amazing food, from starters to dessert and the service was very impressive too. The ambiance felt very romantic and whimsical. The lamb shank was so soft it literally fell off the bone and every single bite was better than the previous. The live performance and announcements for each celebration was well enjoyed too. Bravos to the chefs and waiters. Highly recommended!

Dinner and a show. A wonderful way to spend a Friday night. The calamari starter was divine. The sirloin was cooked well but the meat itself was average at best and the red wine glasses were not up to standard. Other than that, the band was exceptional and made this a fun night out.

From the Beautiful entrance, to the timeless Retro decor, the magnificent Bar Area and the Draping Chandeliers, for a moment in time one felt absorbed in the 50's while at the same time spoilt in an unforgettable experience !! The Perfect Place for a Special Occasion as was displayed on the evening we chose to go, an engagement, a wedding with Bride in gown, several wedding anniversaries including our own 25th and several Birthdays. The food was from a different level and class.Our table had a various selection from Oysters with a lime & chilli dressing, peri peri chicken livers, calamari and cream of mussels starters. For main course, the dishes varied from Rib Eye steak, Teriyaki Line Fish, Lamb Shank and a Seafood Platter for 2. All were exceptional with flavour, tenderness, freshness and portion size and sides. An awesome, unforgettable evening out. You won't regret it. One snag, went out on a very warm evening and the venue lacks Aircon or even roof fans which IMO would fit in perfectly with the decor and ambiance.

This a good dining place for a date, friends or celebrations such as birthdays or anniversaries!! I celebrate one of my friends birthday here. There is a band that plays music, they even played and sang a happy birthday for my friend. The atmosphere is very good for such listed above events. The customer service is dope, I enjoyed interacting with them. The lights are not bright , which makes the place a bit dull... Its hard to find the place, especially if you are coming from Somerset Road.. Just remember to make a turn onto highfield Road heading to Somerset Square and park in there....

Pigalle never disappoints. My Norwegian salmon was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked! I do miss the swing music tracks but the band was great!

Always a pleasure eating at Pigalles. Just 1 thing which in my preference, the roast veggies are to all dente, quite a few people in our group did not eat it.
