I truly never ever write reviews about food. However I ordered a chicken pita from food in today. And just after a few bites I was disgusted. Taste, presentation, quality is far below average. I'm not even able to finish it and it's my supper for the evening. It was the cape town branch, in long street.

We got the full house gatsby. It was totally delicious. The masala steak was piled on and the chips are really good. Top quality, highly recommended. For food vloggers, ask if they will assemble in front of you. 🥰 Thank you Tapiwu.

I've been eating here for about 6 yrs or so now , so if you are prepared to go for the taste then you will be rewarded , the food is always great ( I only order curry, biryani or Chicken thali ) I dont eat the other dishes and haven't tried it - what I can say is Cape Town CBD has become a bit challenging with vagrants and street opportunists so be cautious outside and surroundings - but if you look past this and go for the food and price of what you get you wont be disappointed . if you are going there for fancy alternative dishes then choose wisely . For Curries and Naans then the taste and quality is up there with top guys in Cape Town . Also choose the right time of day to visit , food is normally prepped at 11am onwards and find 3pm to6pm is teh best time when quiet other times of teh day is normally busy and can be a bit overwhelming . enjoy .

Today I had my first steak Roti Gatsby. I have to say it was value for money for just R170 it easily feeds 4 people. I added a coke and the total bill came to R200. I Was surprised with the amount of steak on it!. It was delicious!. I was truly satisfied!!!❤😁😁😁. Will definitely come back for more!

Poor service payed stood at counter they completely ignored me, helped people who came after me I asked for to be refunded. Will never go back and will not recommend to friends and family.

We opted for this place rather than Eastern Bazaar, which was just to full and busy. We had been here previously, but were dissapointed this time round in the quality of the food. We had great service and the food is still value for money,

The portions here were so large we had to ask the chef's to hold off on adding more to our plates! I couldn't finish my noodles so took it home to have for later and it reheated well (something that's often a concern when eating out). The dishes we chose were delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had eaten at the Eastern Food Bazaar the day before and although this is similar it had less queues and I personally found the taste better here

I visited street canteens in India that sold the most tasty food, saw this place and hoped it might offer something similar. Ordered butter chicken. The meat was on the tough side, and corners were cut with the sauce. For R100 it's similar pricing to Joburg but with slightly bigger portions. Not blown away but it's worth a try if you haven't come here. Also, the decor and atmosphere is pretty dingy so it's not for anyone who's very sensitive to that.

Not even close to real Indian food. I ordered Checking biryani and received white rice separately with the biggest chicken legs I have ever seen in my entire life. And the taste was horrible. I had to order another food from another restaurant. Would not recommend eating here.

The worst ever. Don't bother ordering the Gatsby.. roll was stale, chips had no flavour. The lettuce was not even there. The manager just walked away on us when we confronted them about this.

Everytime I visit this place the quality just gets worst and worst! I’ve learnt my lesson and I’ll never go again. Recently had my roommate order 4 portions of Biryani for us all and it was such a waste of money. The food was smelly, and clearly an old batch of food. My roommates and our family that visited us couldn’t stand it. It ruined our night completely! So disappointed in how much the quality of this place dropped by. Wouldn’t recommended it to anyone

This was by far the worst experience I've had with a place serving Cuisine like this.. Myself and a colleague placed a phone order at 11:10, we arrived just before 11:20, paid for the food and they said 10 minutes for waiting time... We sat and sat while no one was preparing the food. The staff, the service, everything was terrible.. The chef that was supposedly going to prepare our food, proceeded to hush me up after asking when the food was coming and told me to sit down😤😡 This infuriated me even more as it was already 11:50 and he only started bringing some Ingredients out. It wasnt even that busy.. other people came and left.. some meals were in the warmer, whatever was already prepared... We asked for our money back and left... I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone.. Management should check their staff and their attitude for being terribly rude and making us wait 40 minutes before deciding to leave... We were on our lunch break and wasted it standing there... we went to Eastern Food Bizarre, got the same food and was out in less than 5 minutes and the food was more than R90.00 cheaper for all the meals collectively and also tastes fantastic! Please be very sure before coming here..

Good aura and a good taste of authentic food there, yes, if going with the family, then a good thing to have is to go for it and enjoy it as self servicing and atmosphere is best. Food quality and quantity is good, true Maharashtra flavors are noticeable The ambience needs slight improvement and the rest is amazing. Prices are good and not too high.. Food is always good and familiar. It has become quite expensive, I guess like everything nowadays. The persons by the till can definitely be friendlier and not make you feel so rushed.

Never buy Gatsby's from this place. They use old chips that tastes like rubber. Even the Gatsby roll was crumbling because it's old. All of us who are from this had diarroeha 🤮🤢

Saw a reel on Insta and Facebook about their roti Gatsby, and we had to try it... It lives up to the hype, we also ordered spicy lamb curry, chicken breyani, Lassi and Bombay crush 😍 The food and service didn't disappoint 👌

Halaal fresh food always, quick service, Long Street Cape Town.imside Food inn there is a smoothie bar selling drinks and coffee or juice, always tasty, near the entrance. I love their smoothies and coffee shakes, a must try.Food in does take aways and is on the Bolt Food App for deliveries. Maybe they must clean up the place a bit, a bit untidy, not dirty bit just need attention, food always tasty.

If you want real tasty food, the Food Inn is really a must, great service and staff ‼️

A great place to try a variety of Indian and Pakistani food. Good variety for vegetarians, as well as those that want something meaty. A range of items, from curries and naan, to pizza and ice cream - with everything in between (noodles, etc). Vibey place, good decor. Not sure about the safety outside, it's been a while. Parking can be an issue.

Tried the combination platfer sizzler. Was dissatisfied and dissatisfied woth the sauce. There was too much quantity and the sauce wasnt hot. The masala tea that came with was no good either. Good place to be swing by if your really hungry .

There's a huge variety of tasty Indian foods, swarmas, fast foods. Even tho this place is always busy, the wait is never long (these guys know what they doing) reason why they always busy. Food is good Service is excellent Portions are huge.....

Not premium quality curries, but you get what you pay for, and you get great value for your money. Beyond curries and tandoor dishes, they also have a wide selection, from Asian stirfries, to sandwiches. So there will be something for the whole family. Definitely beats most fast food places for quick value meals.

The Chicken Hakka Noodles were appetising, but the chicken was sparse. I loved the Bombay Aloo. Very tasty. The mango lassi tastes artificial. Its mango season, c'mon use fresh mangoes, please!

Bad experience ordering from Shawarma House here on Uber Eats - upset stomach, diarrhea, fever and body pains for a week. Both the Chicken Roti Shawarma and Falafel Pita tasted horrible (falafel caused the sickness). Will never order or eat here again - don't recommend!
