We were very excited to find it was opened again after closing during COVID - horrible experience in busy season!! If you don’t have a reservation and they invite you in regardless, note you may be made uncomfortable to wrap it up and leave so they can have their table back. Perhaps international visitors are preferred to local patrons..? We had agreed we would pop in for coffee and be out before 12pm (as we also had to get back to our tour bus), from 11:30 (although we were clearly done and about to leave) were made to feel very uncomfortable to ensure that we do. I have traveled widely locally and internationally and have never had such an experience. Even at top South African restaurants, once invited in without a reservation - when in I have never been treated as if I am being done a favour. They should rather turn people away. I would have been disappointed and bought a coffee to go at a fraction of the cost of sitting in, but to be accepted in then be treated that way leaves a bad taste. Very saddening. Anyhow - just be warned. Make a reservation or risk bad treatment.

I have been coming here every year with a pause during covid from 2019 until today. And the place has changed significantly for the worse. What used to be an elegant and tasteful place is now like a cafeteria. What used to be fresh and delicious cuisine is now MORE expensive but “ready made” food from frozen. How do I know this? Because the food came too fast and tasted generic and bland like you buy it in a freezer. Calamari should only be bought fresh and cooked when ordered. The fries were also double fried, they were pure grease and the chicken nuggets were cheap processed garbage. When we complained the staff told us there is a new owner and many have complained… thankfully I didn’t order my usual “two oceans platter” which now costs 1,570 rand (75 euros) because it would most likely be frozen garbage. Staff are friendly but slow, they served drinks and didn’t open them. We had to ask several times for a baby chair. In the end I should have gotten a bag of chips from the shop next door and saved my money. So sad.

A must-see restaurant for those who enjoy savoring the best seafood dishes, a menu full of fresh, delicious and tastes. The view of this place is stunning, you will surely live incredible moments and delight yourself with spectacular dishes. Beautiful setting with fresh and fast cuisine for a memorable day out. The restaurant has a large deck to enjoy the stunning views of the peninsula. We enjoyed the seafood platter and a Greek salad, which came quickly and were both tasty. The prawns and calamari were particularly good and the portion was generous. We weren’t totally blown away by the food or service but it is definitely worth a trip!

I went with my family and friends and a male waiter served us. I think his name is Lovemore, his service is the best and I'm extremely picky when it comes to my seafood but the food was superb and fresh. I will definitely bring more friends and family next time. Highly recommended. 100x better than V&A Waterfront.

I first ate at two Oceans restaurant in 2017. My mouth had been watering for another helping for the last two years. I finally went again on December 7, 2019 and the food was still delicious. I did notice that the price had increased by about 30% since my last visit. I had to look back at my old spreadsheet to confirm that it seemed a bit more expensive the last time. Yemkela was a very personable and attentive server and the rest of the staff was friendly and personable as well. The view from outside is lovely. This is the Prawn, Langoustine And Calamari Platter.

We enjoyed the food here! The staff were friendly and there was a lovely view of the ocean. There are also birds that scavenge for food, and while some people asked the waiters to scare them away, most people did not mind them.

There is no running away from it, the view is amazing! The food is also well presented, tastes great. I was not blown away by the service though, it was very average, they can do better -- Based on the the crowds they are servicing.

Brilliant restaurant. At first glance I thought it was a bit pricey, however once I started eating it was completely worth the price. Spectacular view and great service. Side note, we ordered a cheese platter and pork belly, both were divine.

The best place were we have eaten in South Africa! The only restaurant inside the National Park so obviously the prices are higher than the usual but it's definitely worth it! Quality of food is high, light, tasty well presented, and also quantity is pretty good! You can choose 2 or 3 dishes (with dessert), we tried the 3 one and it was simply perfect (30€ with water and coffee, nothing compare to Italy)! Stunning view, kind staff, amazing service!

I was thrilled and surprised that the food at Two Oceans was better than at La Colombe (considered one of the best restaurants in the world) where I had been the evening before. The menu selection is innovative and exciting, the dishes are beautifully served with the visual experience only surpassed by the taste. The waitresses were attentive and helpful, and the manager was very sweet to convey our gratitude to the chef. Make sure you go and treat yourself both to the magnificent seafood platters (far superior than The Codfather) and the wonderful starters and mains. If you can, go for an early lunch, then go hiking and come back for dinner. You won’t regret it. It’s that good.

I found it strange that they wouldn't let us sit in the middle of the restaurant, claiming that the tables were "reserved." We stayed for 30 minutes but no one came to sit at a single table.

Amazing view and decent food. However, the place was totally packed (It was not possible to enjoy the moment due to too many people and lack of space) and the service was not amazing. They served fine dining, food was good, but the atmosphere was just a 'bistrot'. I would also like to say everything is quite overrated due to its location. It is a typical 'expensive but decent' restaurant for tourists.

Restaurant with a superb view and service. They have both indoor and outdoor dining area but i would suggest indoors with the occasional wild baboon visits! Food is really up to standard and very nice plating. As for recommendations and they are more than happy to provide some explaination. Price is mid-range to moderately high.

Good food, good service an amazing view! We really enjoy the food in this beautiful restaurant with a great customer service. Food is good and the portions are decent. Try the ostrich carpaccio, what an exotic delicacy. I would definately recommend this restaurant if you come to cape of good hope.

Two Oceans restaurant offers a captivating experience with its terrific atmosphere and attentive service. Situated in a location that provides incredible views, it's an ideal spot to savor a meal while taking in the breathtaking scenery. However, where it may fall short is in the food department. While the cuisine isn't exceptional, it's fortunate that this restaurant is often the only option in the area. For those seeking a memorable dining experience, Two Oceans certainly delivers on ambiance and hospitality. If you're a true food connoisseur, though, it might be advisable to enjoy a sumptuous meal in nearby Simon's Town or Kalk Bay before venturing here. Nevertheless, the beautiful surroundings and the incredible views make this restaurant a worthwhile stop, allowing you to relish the atmosphere and make the most of the unique location.

It’s now open again and the food is incredible. The fresh fish selection is great, views are beautiful and the staff are charming. Also the best salad I’ve had so far in Cape Town. Highly recommend.

The food was not as great as I expected it to be. Their menu is a disappointing actually. The waitress who served was nice but overall wait staff seemed overwhelmed.... one was outright rude to us (male). Its got amazing views though

I had lunch there with a friend when we visited cape point. The experience was good! Fish wasn't over cooked, well battered and the chips were fresh, but not entirely what I expected - No wow factor. My friend had the mezze platter which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service was acceptable. Obviously at least 10% what you pay is for the view and let me tell you it's worth it!

Lovely restaurant, however the service was very slow even though the restaurant was not full at all. The food was tasty, however lacked some seasoning. Great views though, but sit inside, the birds outside are a tad violent lol

What a breathtaking view of the Cape Peninsula. The waitress was kind and made suggestions of meals that was on point. Excellently presented and a taste explosion that would leave you feeling on cloud 9. The chocolate desert as depicted is a must. The details and craftsmanship of the skilled chefs shows you that this is a world class resturant.

Avoid this restaurant like the (coronavirus) plague. This restaurant does not seem to take Covid-19 seriously. We had an arrogant, rude front of house tell us to “just deal with it” when we asked to move tables when our neighbouring table was uncomfortably close, violating all reasonable COVID-19 protocols. On arrival, we were told that every other table was not being used due to social distancing protocols being instituted, which seemed reasonable. Soon after we were seated, a group of around 8 people wanted to be seated at a nearby table in use. Unfortunately, this table seated 6, and so the front of house, Kuda, proceeded to join one of the unused tables near us to the in-use table. This resulted in us being uncomfortably close to the neighbouring table. When I asked Kuda if we could then move to another table which was unoccupied, he informed us that that table was not in use, due to the restaurant’s COVID-19 protocols. After pointing out that if we were to move to the unoccupied table, we would in fact be further away from people than our original table, he rudely replied back, “you have to just deal with it.” I was quite furious with this answer, and asked to speak to manager, Samantha, who apologized, and moved us to another table. While the service by the rest of the staff, including Samantha and our waiter Sven, was good, and the coffee excellent, the entire experience left a sour taste, and I did not leave the restaurant happy. In summary, I was shocked at the arrogance shown by Kuda and his callous disregard of the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic. I also think the restaurant’s futile and inadequate COVID-19 protocols need a serious rethink. I would not go back to the restaurant, and I would recommend others don’t go either, at least until the pandemic is over. As for Kuda, I think he should consider changing careers, because I don’t think being a front of house is well suited to his personality.

Bad service. The waiter said that there was no Mozambique crayfish, although it was indicated on the menu. He advised to take an EAST COAST plate, where there was the same crayfish , but with prawns and more expensive. For a long time I did not carry my dessert, it turned out I just forgot. Tipping 10% demanded to include in the payment, although I said that I was not happy with his work. Given that the prices in this restaurant are 3-4 times higher than usual, it is better to spend time on a walk around the neighborhood.

The 'Two Ocean's' restaurant is a speciality sea food restaurant but serves other dishes including vegan. Although the only restaurant at the famous Lighthouse location, it does not exploit that situation. Delicious food (we had fresh line fish and belly pork) , good quantity and good value for money. Decent selection of quality wines. Served within 20 minutes of ordering which was important as we had return coach to catch. Gregory our waiter ....sometimes mistakenly named as George in some reviews he says !.... was sincerely friendly, proficient and attended to us closely. The manager Christoph took the time to thank us for our custom and some funny banter along with Gregory at the end of our meal. Nice touch.👍🏾👍🏻 Inside and outside terrace dining. Highly recommended.
