Such a lovely dinner out with family on my first visit to Cape Town. In Kennilworth is where this quaint, traditional Italian gem can be found. Think 'Nonna's' kitchen - cozy corners, mood lighting, mismatched chairs, and the chatter of happy customers clinking wine glasses and enjoying generously portioned, delicious food. Perfect pizza - thin crust with lovely quality toppings. I had the blue cheese and fig preserve foccacia to start and the Puttanesca fettucine for mains. Brilliant. My family (who make this a regular stop) highly recommend the Lasagne - I'll absolutely have that next time 😅

Loved it. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great pizza. Would have been 5 star if it wasn't for the wait for food. It was packed so no problem but a bit long. Will give another go for sure!

Had a fantastic pasta dish and focaccia. Would definitely recommend for pasta or pizza at a reasonable price.

Went with family from overseas since we have grown up with this place but also because it is the only pizza and pasta place that is delicious beyond say. Pizza is thin base, with amazing toppings and superb fresh chilli on the side. Favourites are the 'foccaccio' and the 'no name brand', as well as the pasta 'alfredo', which is creamy and so full of authentic flavours. There is a very unique and special quality and character of Borrussos that makes it stand out. From the colours of choice, different furnitures, old victorian style bathroom to the wood fired oven surrounded by money notes, and of course the vintage alcohol bottles and the team pictures throughout the years on display. Lovely owners and such cheerful young ladies and gents working there give such a great vibe and an atmosphere worth wanting more. We have and will always enjoy every moment... Keep up the incredible work and thank you team for bringing smiles to everyone's faces! See you soon, as you will say, pizza will never ever go wrong:) Take care everybody.

I have been eating Borruso's pizza for about 15-20yrs and I am very pleased to say that the quality has been maintained throughout that time. An excellent spot for a pizza and a beer. Highly recommended for takeaway or eating in.

I’ve been going to Borruso’s with my family since I was a child, about 20 years ago. After living overseas for a number of years I had the privilege of visiting Borruso’s again a few weeks ago, and I’m happy to say it has not changed one bit. Still the best service with the best pizza makers (who knew my order without me asking) and a warm and homely environment that screams authentic Italian. I will make sure Borruso’s is on my to-do list every time I come back to South Africa- my favourite pizza place ever.

This is one of my most favorite dinner spots. They have the best pizza and pasta in Cape Town. I love the unpretentious atmosphere and menu items are well priced. Such great value for money.

Another wonderful meal. The lasagne is so good I literally dream about it ! And even on a chilly evening you can still sit outside in the under cover area Family favourite for sure !

We happened to visit on a rather busy Monday dinner service. Staff were very quick to accommodate my table of 6 with delicious pizzas and pastas. We loved the homey feeling of the decor. The only slight problem (not really an issue for others haha) was that we found the wine list quite short and could do with 2-3 more options to choose from. Great place, will definitely visit again with friends.

The food was absolutely lovely. We had the spaghetti, lasagne and pizza. The the food was hot and fresh. Would definitely be going back! Portion sizes are also really good.

The food was absolutely delicious 😋 as always. Definitely the best pizza in the burbs. Staff and friendly, attentive when they need to be. This is not fine dining, it's cheerful dining leaving you with a smile on your face. It's a family/friend/date night friendly spot.

Recommend by our host and wow! The very best pizza for some time before we head back to Ulaanbaatar where there is. I thing like this..no surprise. That said, the pizza is world class. Live the decor and busy atmosphere. Waitress was charming Go if you get the chance

Place is very dark & interesting. Was greeted enthusiastically on arrival. Pizzas are tasty. I tried the BOBA. Bacon, Onion, Banana, Avo. Visit Borruso's!!

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They don't rush you so you can relax and enjoy the visit. You can order a half / half pizza for those of us who cannot decide on just 1 pizza flavour. You can also take your own wine

Very good spot. My boyfriend says “the waitresses/waiters are very attractive here. But not so much the management staff” I love the vibes and the toppings. The banana fire thing is awesome! Would recommend

Great old fashioned restaurant in Kenilworth/Claremont. Very cozy with a wonderful ambiance. Food was delicious.

Busy place with no table reservations. Had lasagne and pizza, both very tasty and reasonable portions. Service incredibly slow, been there three times and same each time. They seem more focussed on serving the take-way motorbike deliveries and neglecting the eat-in customers….

Burruso’s has been one of our favourite Italian restaurants in Cape Town. We visited them last night - was seated outside in the garden - we love it - was cold but we insisted on sitting there - Covid & all. Daniel seated us - waitress took a little long to assist due to it being very busy - so he returned to check on us. He took our table over from the waitress assigned - excellent and attentive service from there on. We ordered the Alfredo pasta and we loved it - it was the best we ever had. Pizza - pear, Camembert, bacon and caramelized onions - excellent - but that pasta - oh yummy Excellent restuarant, food and service - we loved it. Please visit them in Kenilworth.
