Awesome location: A greek restaurant with a bar in the back of an Italian place. The owners and the employees were great and they served the best chicken wings I had so far. As a starter we had the baby octopus... also fantastic. As a side dish we ordered rustic chips, fried to the point, really good. We enjoyed the food, getting to know some regulars, who sat at the bar, and listened to the hits of the 80s and 90s. I definitely love this place and recommend it to everybody who likes nice greek food, cold drinks and easy going, down to earth people.

Amazing sizzling meats that you can smell from far away

Be careful if your coloured, whites have preference to sports matches then you, even if you've been there for and hour before them, watching your game, image you watching your game!!!,all of a sudden there is tennis instead of your cricket game!!!! The finals!!!! You left with a signal on your screen"... BAD SIGNAL DUE TO WEATHER " but it's not the signal just the owner taking prevrants to others, so you throw out your toys, and say it's not fair, you there first, and you get told by the owner that I'll switch off the mains then everyone can go home to watch in there own bloody TV, so yes I'll disappointed on a business running on another business name,

Absolutely amazing food could go and eat there everyday

This is the place for you to have the most marvellous family Greek foods. The atmosphere is absolutely chilled to have a lovely evening out with friends and family and relatives. I can say this I've been there last night for the 7th time since its been open.

Number 1 restaurant in HB and Cape Town hands down. Great food, great family atmosphere and great cocktails. Highly reccomend popping in at Souvla Stix and getting your hands dirty. WARNING: Once you taste the food there is NO TURNING BACK.

We had the most incredible lunch yesterday, divine tasty tapas and mains, especially the chicken thighs and wings and a wonderful fun atmosphere.....cannot wait for the chicken & lamb in pita dishes on the menu to be available !! The chicken is incredibly delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Paired well with some of their sides/meze plates. The service wasn't 100% but still a fantastic evening and restaurant. I count down the days to go back.

The hidden gem of Hout Bay. Great service and delicious food. This is where you will find the proper crispy juicy Greek style lamb on the spit (souvla). The chicken is also delicious, salads, chips, tzatziki and everything else we had, we were very happy. Thank you!

We shared a meze platter and it was absolutely amazing! The haloumi is the best I've ever had and the peppadew poppers were fabulous. Great atmosphere and the owners are very hands on. Definitely recommended!

My lordy lord. Bucca Buggaties is our go to. Was tired of good pizza. So i odered from them. Mezza platter OK over powering lemon.. THEN Rib eye staje. R 189 for 3 cubes. The meat was actualy rotten. I told them They tried to disguise it with lemon. 4 people took a bite and they alll spat it out. I paid R189 for it. Il told the waiter. I gave it to my dog this morning since i had to pay and dogs can cope with much more. My dog trew up.

Food is absolutely delicious and so well priced. Attentive service and great vibe!!! We had a function there and was so well looked after. Would definitely recommend it and it's situated in the beautiful Hout Bay so why wouldn't you stop in when you are there.

I just found my new favourite restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and very authentic. The tzatziki was almost as good as my mom's 😃 . The souvla was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked and so succulent. We did a mix and match and shared a whole lot of dishes. The service was friendly , the advice excellent and it just works. We will definitely be back.

If you haven't eaten at Souvla Stix you are missing out, every time I go there the meals are superb , the service is amazing & if you ask nicely the owner Dino will gladly sing you a Greek melody . I fully recommend this restaurant 5 stars for sure.

Where the locals get the good food. The chicken wings are superb. After dinner many move to the souvla bar which most likely starts the predrinks before a bender in town! Friendly wholesome vibes with great beer and great food.

Nothing Greek here, except the lemon with the pale looking rib eye steak. American music, Greek food meaning more fish dishes, real olive oil on the table, real balsamic. No idea what Greek food is and prepared.

Lovely local restaurant experience and still the best octopus and Souvla in South Africa. The staff really make a person feel at home.

We just ran into the place to shorten the time with some drinks, but all that happened after truly hit us. The cocktails expertly crafted by Matthew turned out to be absolutely amazing. Even before we could contemplate, he already knew what be best for us. These were hands down the finest cocktails we've had the pleasure of savouring, and the final bill was surprisingly modest considering the exceptional quality we enjoyed. Such a lovely place. Breakfast (open omelette was great). Service was 110% . Coffee was good too. Will go again when out that way.
