Beautiful restaurant in SeaPoint with beachy interiors, open air vibe with sea views. Lots of interior and patio seating options depending on the weather. The food was delicious, smaller sized portions. My only complaint was lunch took over 2+ hours and I had to rush and was not able to have my 3rd course. But I would come back for the views! Protip: order right away and leave enough time

I had arranged my husband's birthday lunch of 11 pax at Bobo's on a Sunday afternoon. There is honestly not a change or improvement I could recommend to better our experience! All-round great service from a helpful and accommodating manageress to a knowledgeable and attentive waiter. Bobo's has a great 2 / 3 course set menu, which most of the table ordered. Personally I think their black mussel starter was the best that I've ever tasted, and their aged rump was perfectly done. Orders from the regular menu included: the cheese and bacon burger, the chicken burger and the seafood pasta. All the friends rated their meals highly. Great ambience, good value for money and incredibly tasty dishes.

We popped into Bobo's for an impromptu lunch. We had heard someone mention that it was quite good, other than that we didn't know much about the restaurant. That space had been home to several restaurants over the last decade. It's a pleasant venue with large glass frontage affording a view of the sea (and the traffic). The decor is simple but manages to achieve a level of sophistication and opulence do to the grand scale of some of the decor elements. Chairs were comfortable and the toilets were nice and clean (these are the random things I pay attention to 😂). We didn't eat a lot. A quick starter of onion rings which, along with the rolls and butter, bouyed our expectations as they were pretty good. The prawn linguine was fantastic. It had a rich, creamy sauce and a good number of prawns. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The other dish we tried was the butter chicken which was also nice. Service was attentive. We did not look at the wine list so can't comment on that. I would happily go back again.

Overall I had a lovely time at Bobo’s. The aesthetic of the restaurant is second to none. Being near the beach, it is a perfect spot for a sunset meal. It is ideal for a celebration, a date night or an intimate group. I was impressed with their service throughout given that we were a group of 10-12 people. The food was delicious, unfortunately one of my prawns were not properly gutted and upon showing management, they offered me a completely new meal. I appreciated the customer service and that they were able to acknowledge the fault. We are all human. Highly recommended!

Lovely and professional staff and atmosphere. Unique that they are taking orders directly on the tablets, helps with communication to the kitchen. The food was devine. Loved the carpaccio and the calamari starters. Three course and two courses have good varieties and are very affordable.

Booked a table to celebrate my birthday 🎂🎉🎊, they met and exceeded my expectations👌👌👌. Loved the restaurant, the ambience, the decor absolutely stunning finishes, from the entrance and the entire restaurant. Different types of seats, it's huge and the sea view is gorgeous. Great food and service. Really had a great celebration with family. Would definitely dine in again when I visit Cape town🙌

Good food and service. We didn’t make a booking and it was a busy day, the restaurant was full and we were seated outside. The waiter was attentive and checked in often enough. I enjoyed the osso buco that’s on the winter menu and the pasta was nice and creamy but a smaller portion than I anticipated. Overall a good experience.

Yes another 5 star review in Cape Town. Haven’t had a negative experience yet. This place we came across thanks to google maps at the end of our waterfront walk. Lovely open space with comfortable looking bar area. Lots of room even when crowded. Great friendly service right when you enter. Table service is personal and attentive. Food while pricey compared to other places we’ve eaten is generous portions and very tasty. Recommend the rigatoni bolognese and salads. Curiously the don’t list beer on drink menu but they door have on tap. Almost forgot, the view and people watching location is beautiful. Sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommend and would return.

A perfect, elegant setup, yet affordable. The environment is top notch. The members of staff are wonderful, they put their hearts into the delivery and creating a lasting memories. The menu is wow! All we tasted was delicious and it delivery too. Keep up the good job.

This was my second time at bobo’s, and they have truly exceeded my expectations once again! Their Rip and Dip Hummus was BEYOND AMAZING. The flavours are extraordinary in the hummus. The seafood at bobo’s is TOP TIER. The Sea Bass was Cooked to perfection 😍and the milk panna cotta was refreshing and a great way to end off my experience at bobo’s. The Staff is absolutely amazing and are always willing to make your dining experience unforgettable ❤️

Hello everyone! Hope you are all well, I would like to take this opportunity to review Bobo's because they left me speechless with everything. My cousin and I visited Bobo's on Saturday night for my birthday. We had previously visited another restaurant but we were rejected because we didn't reserve a table. We were disappointed and decided to go to Bobo's, we honestly had no expectations but we were praying we would get a table. Luckily when we entered, we met such a lovely reception (I'm not sure if I should call her that) but she was the one who took us to our table. That night it was a bit cold and one of our concerns was wether the place would be heated or not, it was heated so we were warm. Our waiter was so so nice, really friendly. What shocked me was how fast the service was, as in we didn't wait long for our food/ drinks. The food, was beyond our expectations, it was so good. When I say I was impressed with everythingx I was impressed. I kept on talking about how perfect the night ended up being. I'm honestly glad that things turned out the way they did because I got to experience a beautiful place and I will definitely come again. Thank you Bobo's and keep up the good work! If you guys see this, thank your staff for me and they all deserve a raise because they were so lovely, oh yeah before I forget, they were prepared for loadshedding, also the menus is really affordable, I forgot to add that. I know this is a messy essay but it was worth it.

Had a good time at bobos. Me and my family got more of the simple light appetizers and salads but from what we could tell everything was up to good standards. The aesthetic sand design of the place was the biggest appeal. I recommend.

Great restaurant and really friendly staff. The atmosphere is good and the setting is very well appointed, unique, creative and tasteful. The menu offering is great as well with late operating hours that makes Bobo's a great dining spot with beautiful views and a relaxed beachy vibe. Something is missing though, just that extra bit of something.

The venue has the most wonderful view over the ocean toward Robben Island. Service upon entry was sharp and friendly and we were directed to our central table with ease. Wait time for service was about 4 minutes and for the food, less than 15 minutes Presentation was impressive and neat. Personally, I would have prefered if there was an option to have filleted fish, but the lamb meal was clearly the star. You don't have to play hide and seek for prawns in the prawn pasta dish. Entrance is wheelchair friendly and bathrooms are clean and large. It was a bit cold at our seats, but that's probably a result of the weather. The pricing is on the high side, but you are paying for the views and environment.

Let's start off with how awesome the restaurant looks. Gorgeous decorations with inside and outside seating, and had we known there was a fireplace we'd have come here in the winter instead! Service from the door to your table is all on point. The food is just delicious and well presented. For starters we had the signature chicken wings and they're a great light meal to have before your main. The sauce is just absolutely amazing. We had the Poor Boy Prawn Roll and the Baby Kingklip. Both were quite good, the prawn roll I'd suggest is more for a light meal compared to the Kingklip which is perfectly grilled with an amazing sauce and side of your choice. Unfortunately we skipped dessert this time around but the cocktails are good and fruity. Gives you that real ocean vibe especially since you're just on the beach front. While I'm on that: the view from the restaurant is amazing for sunset (see pics). Bobos is a real great place and a good date night idea, though you could just go with friends or family for a more classy meal time.

Gorgeous place. All staff are friendly and well trained. Great location for a walk in Sea Point afterwards or a sunset view if you manage to get a window seat. They don’t seem to serve large portions from what I’ve seen so keep that in mind if you’re with someone with a healthy appetite- unless you order more. They’re a bit on the pricier side but it’s worth it. Would recommend going during the week if possible (peaceful).

This is a well situated (almost beach side) restaurant with a good view of the ocean and lovely boats floating by. I can't really describe the style of restaurant but I'd call it typical upmarket Cape town restaurant. I guess what I'm saying is it doesn't have any particular distinguishing features but it meets every requirement you'd have of a good restaurant in Cape Town. The food is good, the menu is varied and the service is competent. I was quote hungry so I had pasta and a desert. Both were good but nothing to write home about. My dining companions had the fish and beef and they enjoyed their meals. Overall I would come back to this restaurant because of its location and styling. Also it's quite easy to park outside, although during the busy season (December and Easter) that might not be the case.

Beautiful aesthetics and stunning view of the beach! The cocktails were not bad. The appetizers that we picked were enjoyed all round - Beef carpaccio, salt & pepper squid and a prawn dish. On to mains... after having a pleasant experience with the appetizers, we expected the mains to live up to it. And boy oh boy were we disappointed. We ordered sesame tuna, a sirloin & a rump. The tuna was just average - the sesame and little "salad" accompaniment was very overpowering. But it was just average as a whole the dish. Moving on to the meat. Don't get a steak. To start, the quality of the meat itself is not the best. Both myself and my friend asked for med rare and received medium plus steaks. Both cuts were extremelu grainy but the sirloin was also exceptionally chewy. I asked for an additional side of truffle butter mushroom - which had no truffle in it (while my friend's did) The brocollini that I opted for as my side was well cooked and still had a nice crunch. We were so disappointed that we didn't want to venture into dessert but we were brought a complimentary one to "apologise". It was a cream cheese tart with pineapple and ice cream and reminded me of a dessert when I was little that famalies called fridge tart. Service, very very average. Not clued up about wine on the menu, we waited for long times in between to order new cocktails or ask questions. No presence of management. . The gentleman serving us was nice though but seemed too busy or just not attentive enough. Would I return? Nah.

Amazing Sea Point view restaurant! I had a grilled baby squid as starters and the prawns as the main! Both of them are very fresh and delicious! How can I forget the lovely cocktails they have here!! Just top notch meal! Their 3-course set meal is very affordable!

Spectacular ocean views. You have to sit outside here and take it all in. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that's fine for a little treat every once in a while. The calamari was scrumptious.

Lively for a Monday evening! Set menu is good value but the mussels were amazing. Had the crème brûlée and the staff were kind enough to put an anniversary message in chocolate! Had a lovely evening.

My boyfriend and I decided to go out for lunch after church to this restaurant which was new to both of us. Without a reservation (like most cases) you won’t get a good table (with a good view). It wasn’t so packed , the hosts are welcoming and practice covid-19 health requirements before entry. The menu is great, I had the freshest seafood and fortunately for us the couple next us moved so we got a good table with a great view (if you make a reservation early on a good day). My boyfriend went for seafood pasta and had another main meal after that. The mirrors in the corridor leading to the restroom are to die for , I took plenty of videos for my social media and enjoyed the ambiance! If you want to have a drink STRICTLY ONLY at the bar even once you’ve finished your food and want to sit for sundowners - the staff was very clear on the fact that we have to move to the bar which was the bad part about it.

I really enjoy the cocktails at Bobo's. Seriously creative and equally as tasty. The food is scrumptious no matter what you order. Lunch or dinner here the food will be delicious.
