Bocagrande, the vibrant neighborhood of Cartagena, surpassed all my expectations and left an indelible impression. This five-star neighborhood seamlessly combines the allure of a tropical paradise with a touch of urban sophistication, creating an unparalleled experience for both locals and visitors. First and foremost, the breathtaking beaches of Bocagrande stole my heart. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft sands, and swaying palm trees offered a picturesque setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Whether I soaked up the sun, took a refreshing dip, or simply strolled along the shore, the beach provided an exquisite escape from the daily hustle and bustle. Moreover, Bocagrande's vibrant culinary scene is a food lover's dream come true. From street food vendors to upscale restaurants, the neighborhood offers an array of delectable options to satisfy any palate. I relished in the opportunity to sample the mouthwatering local dishes, including the succulent seafood delicacies that are a specialty of the region. Each meal was a symphony of flavors that tantalized my taste buds and left me craving for more. Aside from its natural and culinary wonders, Bocagrande also boasts a lively and bustling atmosphere. The neighborhood's streets are lined with an assortment of shops, boutiques, and market stalls, where I discovered unique treasures and souvenirs to commemorate my visit. The vibrant nightlife scene further heightened my experience, with its energetic bars, clubs, and live music venues that ensured evenings were never dull. Last but not least, the warm and welcoming nature of the locals made my stay in Bocagrande truly memorable. From the friendly greetings to the genuine assistance provided, I felt embraced by the community's genuine hospitality. Their passion for their neighborhood was infectious and added an extra layer of authenticity to my experience. In conclusion, Bocagrande is an enchanting neighborhood that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Its stunning beaches, diverse culinary offerings, vibrant atmosphere, and welcoming locals combine to create an exceptional destination that will captivate any visitor. Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or cultural immersion, Bocagrande has it all. I wholeheartedly recommend this neighborhood to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience.

Nice suburb just a step away from the wall city, surrounded by the beach and the bay, it displays the most unrealistic sunsets.

Nice beaches and restaurants. Too crowded and too many vendors for my taste.

It's like 10 beaches with different sizes, the sand is lighter, many drink sellers, waves are soft.

😠 Be aware, "Playa Banca" (White beach) is NOT in the middle of the town called Barú. That town is really dangerous, dirty, and without any paved street. Avoid at all cost, and please correct this marker (a tourist trap) which should be relocated right on the beach several KM north.
