It was horrible. Worst experience im Colombia so far. We were coming by Uber. Not recommendable! Streets are horrible. People were literally walking by our car with there hands and face on the closed windows and beating against the car. Screaming sth at out driver. Unfortunately, we couldn‘t understand. We already had a bad feeling and it got even worse! When we were walking the last part to the entrance of the beach, people were following us and wanted to sell anything to us. No gracias did not help. Vendors all over the place! 4 were following us and telling us that one of them is the boss and owner of the beach (and everything what belongs to that). They didn‘t go away and even started to threaten us! After insisting that we have to take a beach chair for 20k and sth to drink. They left us alone. We thought that this is enough because we also negotiated that they will bring us back to Cartagena with their boat. But it was not!!! When we wanted to leave they came with a bill of 1mio Pesos. Entrance fee, beer (10k), chairs, and security fee! And again threating us „I am a dangerous person, knowing many people and blabla.“ It was clear that they were totally ripping us of. But what can you do in the situation? They were 5 meanwhile and we were 2 in the middle of nowhere where nobody cares about you. In the end we paid to 200k to escape. It is so sad for the rest of the country. Such a experience messes everything up. Shame on these guys who are ripping people of when so many other people are working hard in the country!!! DO NOT go there!!! It is horrible. (Not even mentioning all the jet skis and everything else quite close to the beach and swimming people.)

Reviewing sans the aggressive sellers and overpriced scams for umbrellas. These are par for the course of if you’re going to an over commercialized beach… Compared to the reviews, it was less dirty and more clear than I thought. I liked the vibes here. Obviously don’t come here if you want a quiet, intimate experience. More of a lively area.

It would have been beautiful beach if people wouldnt destroy it. Super crazy crowded, full of rubbish everywhere, entrance feels more like a dirty city market then beach. Boats, jet skis and loud reggeaton speakers from all angles make the experience even worse. Dont recommend unless you want this specific experience.

It’s a beautiful beach, however the locals do not take care of it unfortunately. They leave the garbage on the beach, and do not clean. Always ask for the price of anything you’re gonna buy there, since a wristband until any beer or food. In that place you can do snorkel and see different types of fish, it is a nice experience. It gets so crowded on weekends. You do not have to pay any fee to enter to the beach, it is 100% free.

They get two stars for the food being decent and the water being clear and salty, but rocky. The beach is very busy boats, jetskis, pushy vendors. First of all, I had to pay 80.000 Colombian pesos for four chairs and an umbrella, which I only got to use for an hour. Next, I paid 20.000 Colombian pesos for a baby Coca-Cola. The lady was very pushy about me paying 100.000 Colombian pesos for all of that. I left and went to Isla Rosario's aquarium. I came back to find two of my chairs were gone, and there was trash near the beach chairs. That's the most I paid to sit at a beach anywhere in the world I traveled to. There is a lot of trash in the surrounding areas. Check out the photos. Like I said, the food was decent and did not make me sick as I had the fish.

Not recommended. Beautiful beach but lots of boats speeding really close to the swimmers, you will be breathing boats and jetskis smoke all day. Tons of vendors, inflated prices. Better to go to Decameron Baru, same beach, no harrasing vendors 👍

Rubbish all over the beach and in the carpark couple stray dogs and cats around. Walking down into the beach is a bit of a hazard. 2000 pesos to use a toilet with barely a wall. 8000 for 600ml water

This could be a beautiful beach, but unfortunately, like most of Cartagena, it's dirty and neglected. The walk down to the beach is disgusting. Piles of trash and plastic everywhere. We were on a low-budget tour (chosen by a friend of ours), and I told my husband that if the beach is this nasty, I'm taking a cab back to the hotel. When we got to the beach, at around 8am, it was a lot cleaner, and I felt it was clean enough to swim in. By noon, though, it was crowded, the water not as clear and trash floating around. Pros: they have boxes on the beach with locks for your personal items. They don't have showers, but for 4 copa they'll give you a bucket to rinse yourself off. It's worth it. The water and beach area is beautiful with so much potential, but you have to go very early. Cons; too many vendors pestering. Way too crowded after 10am The area just off and around the beach is filled with trash. I would not go back.

The sand on this beautifull beach is very thin and will stick on your skin for a while, if you have delicate skin and sunburns this will make the itching way worse so be aware. Gorgeous beach still. You can buy a mini-boat tour to feed raccoons in the mangroves and take underwater photos with some tropical fish, the pathway to the beach is partially made with fossilized corals.

Quiet and beautiful beach, a lot of choices for staying in there. We had a great time at La cabaña glamping de Gerónimo.
