Very nice plaza in the middle of the walled city. Surrounded by tons of stores and restaurants. There are tables in the middle of the plaza so you sit and eat and at night, enjoy the music.

Loved the beauty. The only thing that made this place ugly was the CONSTANT harassment to buy things. I get it, that's how some make the most of their living but this isn't somewhere you go to relax. We got used to it after a while though. Other than that, I would visit again.

I actually enjoyed Cartagena and all of its rich history. It had many reminders of Europe and Africa. The fort was amazing as well as the culture there. If you’re a history lover like myself, Cartagena and Plaza de Santo Domingo are a must

Too many people trying to sell stuff or to engage with you via other means, didn't feel too comfortable.

Barely anything exciting here. The buildings are cool looking, but there really isn't much to do here. Some rappers were entertaining a table. People just walking around. It's a place to see tourists and some local vendors. This place just feels like a tourist trap. Prices are inflated.

A vibrant old town area with lots of shops & places to eat, filled with street vendors selling you their goods

Everything is located close by but can get overcrowded with Horse carriages, bad rappers and vendors

It’s a nice place to visit. Specially if you like historical architecture, the place is mostly crowded at night but it’s really worth visiting. There’s many restaurant options other activities around

It’s a plaza with lots of street vendors and shops. Here you can see the oldest houses and beautiful buildings. So pretty!

Nice square with a large church to wander through and a lot of patio seating with umbrellas to escape some of the heat. Pro-tip: The restaurant closest to the statue of the lady has great lemonade slush drinks!

Beautiful plaza with one of Boteros statues in the middle of it. We did have an argument with a tour guide who asked us 3 times if we were interested in a tour. The third time I told him he was being disrespectful.

Historic and interesting place to visit. Watch out for pick pockets and the plethora of street vendors who will try to sell whatever they can, which is whatever they happen to have apparently.

A nice Square, with cafés to sit and contemplate, also with one of Botero's famous scultures

You need to see the inside of this magnificent church. Exterior is not impressive.

Beautiful place with plenty amount of spots for photos and eating. Be aware of the rappers and sellers that might catch you up by surprise and ask for money.

Nice plaza / square but not as nice as a few others within the walled city. It's a very busy tourist trap in this end of town. We ate at one of the restaurants here and was nice to overlook the large cathedral. If here for only one night I preferred the Palaza Madrid

This plaza is nice and you can find many places to have a beer or a coffee, unfortunately this place has bad odors and everybody, tourists and natives, use to throw a lot of garbage there, this place would be perfect just if people would were more aware about their behaviour there.

Went to see the statue. The Caribbean women didn’t want to move from the statue. Someone finally got them to. Lots of pedlars there.

It was raining when we visited Cartagena Old town so wr didn't really have much time to explore and walk a lot but I can say it's a beautiful town.

Amazing atmosphere. Various hawkers try to sell you anything they can and buskers hound you but if you can factor them out it's a great place. Horse drawn carts trot past and the surroundings are picturesque

Tourist spot. Drinks are expensive when you have a table. But nice to see people, horse carriages pass by.

Great ambiance, the restaurant Juan del Mar is my favorite of all Cartagena. Really recommend the pizza and the spaghetti with seafood.

What a place! Crowded with people having a drink or just strolling by. People are dancing and singing in the streets and there's a sound carpet of Salsa all over the place.

This place is beautiful. It makes you feel like in Southern Spain. There is catholic church, a restaurant and decoration. Good place to grab a coffee...

Beautiful area!!! A lot of welcoming ppl and you definitely will be harassed to buy something or take pics. If you see children or family/ies who came from other countries begging for money. Plz find it in your heart to give them something... Too sad!!😒

Great energy and life while walking thru here

It's a sadly underutilized plaza, given the amount of space. The restaurants in the plaza are good, but be prepared to shoo away street vendors every few minutes. Has a pharmacy.

A bigger version of plaza de la Trinidad. If you sit long enough you’ll see all sorts of performers.

Cartagena's main landmark. Gets busy at night and really worth going!

  • 5/5 Luis S. 2 years ago on Google
Nothing special about this place, its just a plaza to chill, have some drinks with the nearby food vendors. It has a botero art and great colonial view

  • 5/5 Claudine G. 2 years ago on Google
Very lively plaza to visit. Live music there at night and one of Botero's art piece is in the plaza.

Pretty cool area. Something nice to experience but not a must-have
