CRUISE EXCURSION: I am happy to provide proof of all texts as proof of this review......I booked a private boat with water/beer to take my family (11 people ages 18-75) to a private island. We were to have water/beer on the boat, ham sandwiches, fruit and other snacks. On the island, we were promised beach chairs (for the older people) so they can relax while the "kids" (ages 18-22) fly board and jet ski. I was given a quote of $1,000 USD for the boat/beach/food/snacks and $500 for the all day "water sports" package of fly board/jet ski/ snorkel. So $1,500 USD total. I was told the package is from 9am to 5pm. I said we are on a cruise ship (MSC DIVINA) so lets meet at 10am and plan a 5 hour excursion, so head back to boat by 3pm. I still agreed to the $1,500 USD rate. They sent me a link to pay in COP (their currency) through PayU (like PayPal). I SHOULD HAVE checked the amount, but did not. My credit card showed up as $1,623 USD. I questioned it and was told that is the fees and taxes. I explained we agreed to $1500, so they agreed to do a refund and charge me $900 in PayU, then pay $600 in US Cash after the tour. I agreed. The next link (I did not learn my lesson) showed up as $998. They said, those are the fees. So I said I will pay $500 on the island. Lets fast forward. A few days before, I confirm our reservation. They say all is good. I DID NOT get my $1623 back on my credit card, they told me it is 90 DAYS to get a refund. (I am currently disputing this with my credit card company). They said not to worry, I will get the money back and they will take great care of us for our tour. The DAY of the tour (December 31, 2019) we get a text asking to share our location at 9am. I do & we get off the ship at 9:50 and try to contact them....for AN HOUR!!! Finally they respond and say they were at the wrong port, but are on their way......we wait. They show up around 11:30 by boat....which was very nice and as promised.....BUT no water or beer. Melanie, who was my contact, was not on the boat and NO ONE spoke any English. No problem...let's head to a beach, maybe beer and water are there. I get a text that since we lost 1.5 hours, we need to change the itinerary. We are heading to a hotel with a beach. Water, beer, food will be there. We get there.....they DO NOT let us park! No reservation. They say "Cartagena is full" and boat staff argue in spanish, we leave. I get a text, we will try another beach. We drive around....go to a SUPER PACKED area. We park. It smells like fumes from all the boats. Highlight....we get beer and water and fruit. We leave for another area (it is now 1pm). We can't park there either. I ask (via text) what is happening. They say "Please pay the $600". I say we have not seen a beach, not had sandwiches, not went jet skiing nor have we seen a fly board. We are told Cartagena is full and they can't get me that, but we had an agreement and I need to pay. REMIND YOU....I still do not have the $1623 back, I paid another $998. They say we can flyboard after we pay, but we only have 2 hours left of the tour. They say the fly board takes 1 hour. I say were promised all day jet ski and fly board. (I have every text saved). We ask to go back to the boat since it was a disaster. They said they will not me off the boat until I give them $600 (but we agreed to $1500 with the water sports) and I paid $998. After arguing, they say pay for food (fruit) water and beer. I say it was included. They say it is not and I need to pay for gas. I ended up threatening to call the US Military ship parked near the dock (husband is military) and they FINALLY took us to the pier and let us off the ship. CROOKS!!! I did tip the drivers of the boat (not their fault) and I will not dispute the $998 on my credit card, but we DID NOT have the tour we were promised. BEWARE!!

I have been using Colombia Flyboard for the past 4+ years every time I visit Cartagena. They always have the best boats, a huge selection and very fair pricing. Melanie and her team delivered a really nice 8 hours with a fair price. The boat was a speedboat with a 36 'console with its Captain who was too friendly with his partner. They offer an on-board menu from which I am impressed with how we received it in beautiful Caribbean dishes, too many options to share on board. It is important to leave early in the day since the water is stirred in the afternoon. 1. Melanie provided us with water and snorkel masks, but you probably also want to bring your own supplies. There are a couple of early stops with a good snorkel before the water is stirred later in the day. After doing some research I came across Colombia FlyBoard and decided to give them a call. Manolo, the owner of the company, could not have given us a better level of customer service and care. We told him our group's size and budget, and he was able to facilitate a beautiful day on the islands on a yacht, which proved to be an unforgettable experience. A few of us also took the FlyBoard package, which was ten times more fun than, say jet-skiing (take my word for it.) The crew and responsiveness was great. However they didn’t let us know that the boat would take 8hrs on sea (4 hours each way) to get to Rosario islands (on a regular boat it takes 1hour). They said they assumed I’d know about the speed of boats because I picked a sail boat catamaran, but I’m sure most people who book boats aren’t boating experts. In conversation I had also said the timelines I assumed would make sense (i.e. leave at 8 so we can snorkel at 9, get to island at 10 etc) and no one told me that wouldn’t work because leaving at 8 meant we’d arrive at 12. We also didn’t order food nor drinks for boat due to assumption of shorter ride. I recommend this company for its service, just please make sure you are aware of timing!
