Far cry from what the website promised, menus are completely outdated on the website even tho you have to book through the website during Covid times. From the minute we walked in you could tell the reservation hadn't been honoured and something properly prepared, firstly a waiter was over eager to take the order, my friend had gone to the bathroom and hadn't even looked at the menu, then we were sat for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to take the order and when a waiter had come towards us to take the order he was called to another table that arrived after us by the Security guard, overall the staff look disinterested and lacking motivation... food wise the burgers were average at best, but the fries are pretty tasty..cocktails were sub standard compared to other places in the city.. it's also not the cleanest... wouldn't be rushing back in a hurry to be honest.

Good place. I like the food as well compare to lot of other pubs. Food is little expensive but worth it. Especially the chicken wings, skinny fries, any burger. Ambience is good especially the heated seats. I will recommend this place any time.

It was absolutely electric. Vibes immaculate. And for such a packed place, the bartenders moved super quickly.

Huge selection of whiskey on show. It would be great if they updated their menus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had some wonderful summer cocktails on offer.

Coolest pub/bar in Cork to spend time with friends or a partner in a romantic occasion. The options of available drinks are good, and food is delicious! Vegetarian options exist and they're very well done. The price is reasonable, good value for money.

Thank you to The Old Town Whiskey Bar’s team at Bodega Welcome to this spacious and charming place! I love the atmosphere with candles with the old wooden furniture! You have a DJ after a certain time of the evening. I took the rib-eye steak (24.5€) accompanied with his gratin of potatoes and salad. You have a portion of butter on the steak and it’s soooo delicious especially with his gravy sauce! You can add additional chips for 3€ but it’s not something necessary for the dish you got. I recommend the shiraz foundstone which marries very well with this fabulous dish. You will love this red wine full of dark fruit with its peppery finish note. Have a greatfull moment with your friends at this charming place!

Regular here mainly early eve for food and drinks with a pal. Love the food especially beef stew which was previously the Beef Cheek (even better but off menu now 😋 😔). My pal loves it too and the fish and chips. Also a few days ago, during the day, I had a great toasted sandwich. It came with hand cut chips and salad. It was so big, I snuck a bit home!! At €11 excellent value. Service very good despite the fact, very few staff!@!!

3/5 Atmosphere because the music was cranked up way too loud around 9pm which made having any conversation inside virtually impossible. Finger food was fantastic, service was quick and professional. Great choice of drinks with very little waiting time even with a lot of audience. I prefer quieter places but that's down to personal preference.

The most gorgeous venue. Had a great brunch with a big group of us, and the food was delicious. The breakfast burrito was absolutely awesome. Great mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Staff were great.

Made a very spontaneous visit to this location. Was lovely seating outside. amazing interior. High ceiling, wide range of drinks. Didn’t try the food on offer. Still worth a visit. Fantastic beer from the brewery across the street😀

Pleasant bar in all season. Lovely and cozy in the winter. Nice terrace in the summer. Very large selection of whisky, lovely beers…

Went today for brunch and the service was quite bad. Servers were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Their attitudes completely ruined our outing and made us feel very uncomfortable. Also got overcharged for our meal and drinks compared to the price on their menu. Food was nice though which is a shame because I would go back but not with how their current servers are acting.

Went here on Friday night with a group. I only went up to the bar 3 times during the night and I was overcharged on 2 of those occasions. The first time I ordered 2 drinks and was overcharged €6.60 (€21.20 instead of €14.60), I did get a refund for this when I pointed it out to the bartender but he clearly didn’t care. I later went up to a different bartender and she told me the price was €3.50 higher than the menu stated. When I told her that I had ordered the same drink earlier in the night and it was cheaper she just walked away and changed the price on the machine. Clearly overcharging people is commonplace here, which is a shame because I do like the bar itself

Me and a pal go here regularly around 8pm. We dine and have a bottle of wine. Always great service and bar tenders are also the waiters. Don't know the girls name, but served us last night and many other times. She is friendly and acknowledges us each time. We had Beef stew and Fish and chips (wedges can be replaced by actual chips 🍟). Both lovely. LGBT friendly. Probably is busier later which would create an atmosphere as its quite a large venue. We will continue to be regulars for sure.

Popped in for a quick drink on St. Patrick's Day. Such a beautiful pub. Bottles behind the bar are literally stacked to the roof! Great vibe and good friendly service. They also serve food and you can take your kids there too. Will definitely be back ☘️😁

Beautiful place - a real lucky find! Great service and really nice food and drink too

Lovely pub with really really good food. Service is top notch and whiskey selection is as good as advertised. The hype is real. The outdoor seating is really nice and the indoor ambiance is classic Irish pub. The music is on every night and super traditional. Bonus: they serve beer from the brewery across the street. And great pours of Beamish and Murphy's.

The drinks and atmosphere was ok but the food was expensive and awful. I had the gnocchi, which was fine yet bland, however it was bizarrely served with both chorizo and prawns which don't go together at all. The chorizo was overcooked and tasted like fried spam while the prawns were overly stogey and fishy and obviously frozen.

Fantastic experience here 😊. Great atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. Delicious food which is great value for money and well presented. Friendly staff with a special mention for our waitress Juliette 👏 who went above and beyond to make sure that we had an enjoyable time here. Will most definitely be back. Recommend 100% ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had lunch here, the food was only ok. We had a chicken sandwich and there was little or no chicken. The girl was pleasant but the service was a bit slow considering it was quiet at the time. I wouldn't rush back

Very friendly staff and prompt service. Had food which was perfect for pub grub. Breakfast menu looks amazing

Nice atmosphere and the pub looks amazing inside but the food was just okay and the service really bad. After they gave us our bill we waited 45 minutes to pay and every attempt to get someone's attention failed. We finally got up to pay at the front desk and even there waited 5 minutes until finally someone recognised us. We could've just left. I had the cauliflower wings and they were not crunchy at all and way too spicy. There was no note on the menu. Even my friends who really like spicy food said these wings were too spicy not to mention it on the menu.

I recently celebrated my birthday with family and friends here and I was overwhelmed by the wonderful memories of our special gathering. Amazing staff, came down for brunch (we arrived super late but they still allowed us to order from the brunch menu!), tasty food and great gin tonic!

Seafood chowder is awesome! Just watch out for small bones. Soda wheat bread slice was so thick. All for €10. Delish!

Really cool bar. Whiskey selection second to none in the city and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Had a big group of people in and were really well looked after - will be back.

Great buzz early on a Saturday. Brunch looked lovely but we had other reservations. They very kindly honoured our voucher from 2 years ago. No fuss, no hassle, just a lovely welcome back to our bar.

👍 Crazy good prices on food and beverages. You sacrifice attentive service, but everyone I talked to there was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and there were actually a number of beers that I have not seen elsewhere in the Cork area. I would not say this is a must do if visiting from abroad, b...
